The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2485 The Soul Crushing King
Previously on The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order...
The rivalry between the Eternal Soul Kingdom and the Immortal Nirvana Kingdom in the Eighth Realm reached a boiling point after a colossal pillar of red and white fire tore through the firmament. Both factions instantly grasped a grim truth: a new combatant had joined the fray. Neither side was willing to let their rival gain the upper hand before identifying the nature of this mysterious presence. Consequently, the ensuing skirmishes escalated into unprecedented displays of brutality.
A massive confrontation erupted above the vast ocean, generating such immense destruction that the sea was violently parted by colliding forces. Towering liquid walls ascended toward the heavens, creating waves of such staggering height they seemed capable of drowning the very sky.
The concentrated energy unleashed by the Alpha Omega Overgods warped the atmosphere, spawning gigantic tornadoes and massive monsoons. Several of these tempestuous currents possessed enough power to engulf ArchDeities, shredding them as they were pulled apart by the swirling vortexes of wind and water.
Despite the pervasive aura of slaughter, neither kingdom could secure a decisive advantage. The battle raged for over an hour, leaving the seabed fractured and the clouds obliterated into scattered vapor. Eventually, the combatants disengaged and retreated, fearing the consequences of overextending themselves amidst such volatile conditions.
Naming a conclusive winner was impossible.
However, despite the stalemate, a single Peak Alpha Omega Overgod belonging to the Immortal Nirvana Kingdom found his situation becoming dire.
His name was Sanzon.
He fled across the ruined skies at his maximum velocity, trailing blood in his wake. Even by exhausting his energy without restraint, he could not lose his pursuer. This was a critical predicament—his tracker was no minor combatant.
It was one of the esteemed kings of the Eternal Soul Realm.
He was a man who had built a faction robust enough to rival the Eternal Soul Kingdom itself.
The King-Tier Royal Blutlinie was a massive, broad-shouldered warrior with arms that resembled ancient, thick-barked trees. Eerie, golden flames burned within his eyes, and he clutched a heavy bastard sword nearly as large as his own frame. His raw speed was not inherently superhuman, but his Ancestor Eye constantly glowed, causing the space behind him to tremble and release shockwaves that propelled him forward with increasing velocity.
Within a heartbeat, he loomed over Sanzon.
He brought his sword down without a moment's hesitation.
A shockwave of crushing weight plummeted from the heavens. The ocean below responded instantly, caving inward as if pushed by an unseen, divine hand. Even before the blade connected, the mere pressure effectively paralyzed Sanzon.
Clenching his teeth, Sanzon detonated his Ancestor Power. All surrounding light gathered into a dense cocoon of radiance just as the weapon struck.
"BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!"
The cataclysmic impact shook the entire ocean. Water was thrown outward for hundreds of miles as Sanzon was sent plummeting like a meteor into the deep seafloor.
A vacuum formed in the wake of the strike, with surrounding waters held back by lingering force. At the center of this void lay the blood-stained form of Sanzon.
The shell of solidified light had preserved his life.
However, he was far too gravely injured to continue his escape.
The King-Tier powerhouse raised his blade, preparing to execute the Peak Alpha Omega Overgod—
"Intu, King of the Soul Crushing Kingdom, correct?"
The voice sounded calm.
Unnaturally calm.
Intu’s eyes widened as he pivoted toward the sound.
There, hovering in the air at a short distance, was a man obscured by a red mask.
'How did he manage to get so close?' Use of such speed caught Intu off-guard, but his focus quickly sharpened. Since he did not recognize this figure, there was only one possible conclusion.
An intruder.
"Who are you?" Intu demanded, his grip white-knuckled upon his sword.
Cain gave him a fleeting glance.
"The Red King."
The moniker hung in the air like a final judgment.
Ignoring any reaction, Cain turned his gaze downward toward Sanzon.
"Run."
Intu’s eyes widened again. There was no misunderstanding the intent behind that single word.
Sanzon was his prey.
Yet, this so-called Red King was ordering him to walk away.
"Who do you think you are!?" Intu roared.
His aura exploded outwards, causing the firmament to vibrate as the ocean surface churned aggressively beneath them. The pressure radiating from his silhouette grew to a terrifying intensity.
Cain narrowed his eyes slightly.
He is even more formidable than the Heartcram King or the Evernight Queen.
Those were adversaries whom Cain would have found challenging to confront in the Ninth Realm. However, standing in the Eighth Realm, not a shadow of doubt clouded his spirit. The subtle echoes of Order combined with the surging force of Chaos within him granted him a chilling sense of certainty.
He looked at Sanzon once more.
"Go. He will not dare lay a hand on you while I am watching."
Blinding rage and humiliation seethed within Intu. Yet, he could not argue against the weight of those words.
The Red King’s aura was... peculiar. Indecipherable. Intu struggled to grasp him clearly. Should he turn his back to finish Sanzon, he might succeed—but he feared that, in that very moment, his own back would be pierced.
Though Sanzon was baffled, he had no intention of refusing this chance to live. He forced his body upward, pooling his remaining Qi, and fixed his eyes upon a stretch of open sky.
'Once I am clear of this, I must alert the others. This could be a magnificent opportunity!'
The moment that thought crystallized—
Two gargantuan eyes appeared above him, shimmering with scarlet radiance.
They manifested within his very soul, vast and all-encompassing. Every hidden ambition, every intention, and every thought lay exposed before their sight. A hand pressed firmly onto his shoulder.
"You have my permission to leave," Cain’s voice resonated. "But if you disclose anything regarding our meeting..."
The grip tightened with menacing intent.
"I will rip out your heart and consume your soul."
Sanzon’s entire frame convulsed. A cold sweat drenched his back.
He glanced upward.
The Red King remained immobile in the sky, his focus entirely on Intu.
And yet, Sanzon could still feel the weight of that hand pressing on his shoulder.
'What kind of monster is this?'
He had no desire to discover the truth.
Spending his last reserves of energy without care, Sanzon shot into the distance, fleeing at maximum speed—determined to put as much distance as possible between himself and the Red King."
