The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2423 The final battle above the blood ocean

Previously on The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order...
Cain purified the Ancestor Drops and fused them into his body, then enhanced his form while deploying golden orbs as contingencies across the Ocean of the Blood Sun. Weeks passed without sign of the Kalous Kingdom's forces, heightening his unease, until a massive white fortress approached, bearing Mirena, Kriz, and Eonar, the imposing King of the Aztorus Kingdom. Eonar revealed the Kalous retreat to their capital and their hiring of mercenaries, proposing an alliance to lure and annihilate them within the blood ocean's domain. To offset potential damage, he offered tens of thousands of unconscious Blutlinie, whose bodies were then consumed by the crimson depths, sealing the pact.

Now that the alliance was firmly in place, the enormous flying stronghold of the Aztorus Kingdom lowered itself and hovered right over the heart of the Ocean of the Blood Sun.

As soon as it steadied, Cain sensed it vividly—the fortress started pulling in the power from his vast oceanic form, tapping into the endless life force and blood essence below to fuel its myriad formations, runes, and weapon systems.

The toll was immense.

Cain paid it no mind.

The Ocean of the Blood Sun held far more power than the fortress could ever deplete, and Cain's focus shifted to something else entirely. His main goal was extracting and refining the Ancestor Drops from the numerous Blutlinie that the Aztorus King had dispatched into the ocean as an offering just moments earlier.

Their souls were peeled away one after another and gathered into gleaming golden spheres that scattered throughout the Ocean of the Blood Sun, concealed from

all eyes.

Regarding their Ancestor Drops, they underwent the utmost purification Cain could manage before being merged into the expanding drop inside his fresh body.

Once the procedure finished, bursts of ecstasy flooded Cain's soul.

"It's already bigger than what a typical Early Alpha-Omega Overgod Royal Blutlinie would have," he evaluated steadily. "And its purity... vastly superior."

The feat was breathtaking.

Even the top prodigies in Paradise would view such an outcome as nothing short of wondrous. But Cain felt no contentment.

He craved even more.

And he knew precisely the way to get it.

"All that's left for me now," Cain whispered, "is the outbreak of this war's climactic clash."

As though responding to his inner musings, a presence entered his awareness. The Scarlet King turned his attention to the distant skyline, where the very fabric of space warped under an incoming force.

"Perfect timing." Excitement raced through him as he detected the exceptional quality of this group's Ancestor Drops.

Not just Cain noticed it.

Eonar swiftly departed the fortress, ascending to the uppermost reaches of the sky over the Ocean of the Blood Sun. His eyes gleamed with keen eagerness as he stared at the incoming army. A broad grin stretched over his features—one brimming with murderous resolve and warrior's fervor.

"At last," he declared icily. "You show yourself, Lortar."

The Kalous King, Lortar, might seem like an elderly figure at a glance—but frailty was nowhere in his nature. His hulking build exuded raw might, with muscles straining under the scales that armored his arms and portions of his torso. Strands of long white hair trailed behind him, and the atmosphere near his form burst into flames from the sheer intensity of his aura.

Trailing in his wake came a gigantic host.

Cain's vision scanned the field of combat in a flash.

Positioned behind Lortar were nine Alpha-Omega Overgod Royal Blutlinie. Among those nine, just five carried the bloodline of the Kalous Kingdom.

Cain's gaze sharpened.

"Those other four are hired blades," he determined. "The cost Lortar shelled out to pull them into this fight... staggering."

A spark of delight rippled in Cain's soul as he picked up on the Kalous King's murderous aura—and lurking underneath, a sense of despair.

This went beyond simple revenge for a lost heir.

This stemmed from terror.

Terror of reprisal from the Dark Blood Kingdom.

Right as the Kalous Kingdom's troops neared the edge of the blood sea, eight Alpha-Omega Overgod Royal Blutlinie stepped out from the Aztorus Kingdom's fortress. They arrayed themselves next to Eonar, accompanied by tens of thousands of Prima Deity and ArchDeity Blutlinie.

Suddenly, three forms ascended straight from the Ocean of the Blood Sun.

Hades.

Satan.

Morningstar.

They integrated into the Aztorus Kingdom's lineup, their arrival shifting

the scales overwhelmingly.

Twelve Alpha-Omega Overgods.

Two extra compared to the Kalous Kingdom.

Eonar's grin broadened as he noted the edge in numbers, his

eyes fixing on Lortar.

"Face me, Lortar," he commanded, his words echoing over the fray. "Your end has arrived."

Lortar offered no reply.

Instead, he released his might.

His power burst forth, blending with the Royal Blutlinie

beside him and coursing through the huge force at his back. Darkness swallowed the heavens as the Kalous Kingdom's warriors breached the shore and flew high over the Ocean of the Blood Sun.

In that instant, innumerable rays of dense blood power shot up from

the sea, their force targeted solely at the Royal Blutlinie while sparing the rank-and-file soldiers.

Lortar's brow creased.

Such strikes couldn't truly harm him, yet they sowed chaos—able to sway the tide of combat.

Of course, the Kalous Kingdom wouldn't just take it lying down.

Tremendous barrages fired back, their force slamming into the blood sea and vaporizing huge swaths of it. Scarlet vapors billowed upward as massive quantities of blood were

obliterated.

Eonar held his ground.

Should the foes squander their strength demolishing the sea, so much the better.

Concerning the harm to the Ocean of the Blood Sun, he felt indifferent. After the fight concluded, the sea would vanish anyway. The Kalous Kingdom and its lands would fall under his rule, and he would brook no such aware body of water near his frontiers.

Each blow from the Kalous Kingdom struck like a dagger into Cain's

body.

Still, Cain stood firm.

He deftly steered the engagement, making sure his Royal Guards

stayed matched against the enemy's Royal Blutlinie, quietly drawing the skirmish further into the ocean's core.

At last, the Kalous King and his top warriors arrived at the Ocean

of the Blood Sun's midpoint.

They hovered only heartbeats away from clashing with the Aztorus Kingdom's defenders.

Eonar lifted his arm.

The towering fortress at his rear ignited in dazzling brilliance as its

batteries—each potent enough to slay an Alpha-Omega Overgod—powered up.

Yet Lortar struck sooner.

He parted his jaws and spat out two metallic blocks.

The very next moment, the blocks ballooned into titanic structures,

each etched with myriad runic patterns that pulsed with primordial energy.

Before the Aztorus fortress could unleash its volley, the blocks discharged their own energy lances.

The onslaught hammered the fortress with devastating impact, devouring large portions of it right away.
