The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2380 The Dark City

Previously on The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order...
The True Primordial of the Void and the Knights of the Scarlet Kingdom battled relentlessly through hordes of True Depravitas, their sights set on destroying the red boxes and dismantling the gravitational formation fueling the chaos. High above in the Scarlet Crown, the Scarlet King, Cain, strained to shield the floating city from waves of explosive Shooting Star True Depravitas assaulting his Chaos Wings, his energy depleting under the onslaught. Unbeknownst to him, the Immortal Knight Sozing infiltrated the city undetected, suppressing his aura to close in for a fatal strike, driven by the fear of Cain's unchecked growth. As another Depravita barrage rocked the structure, Sozing lunged, only for Cain to sense his burning resolve and counter with the Zero-State Spear, unraveling the knight's soul in a devastating blow. Yet, in a shocking twist, Sozing's eyes reignited, and he seized the moment to plunge his hand into Cain's head.

As soon as the hand touched Cain's head, a fierce surge ripped through each fragment of his existence. This force broke past his Lucid Dream and slammed into the Alter-Ego with an impossible might.

In that very moment, a fracture echoed deep inside Cain's soul and ego.

Within a single beat, his eyes flew open in horror as the sensation hit him.

"My powers as a Dreamwalker... severed."

The truth landed like a dagger's thrust.

That one detail held dire consequences. Lacking his Dreamwalker authority, Cain could no longer project his True Name outside the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe.

"If I die now... my True Name will cease to exist."

The grim certainty of that fate emptied the fire from Cain's gaze. In its place grew a chilling void, deeper than any before. His aura burst forth wildly, overwhelming the heavens and the ground below. Even the self-destructing True Depravitas halted their plunge, their warped senses drowned in raw fear. "What a monster..."

The Immortal Knight sensed that dread sharper than all others. Still, he pressed on without pause. Crimson flames blazed in his eyes as a swirling crimson maelstrom formed around them, devouring their forms in a flash.

Astonishment rippled across the faces of the True Primordial of the Void and the Knights of the Scarlet Throne as Cain disappeared entirely. No hint of his essence lingered in the Everstrife Empyrean World.

"Damn it!" Anark bellowed.

Fury surged from him as he launched a fist ahead. A colossal tide of purple ruin shredded the last wave of Shooting Star True Depravitas and slammed straight into Markin and Kaizer. The blow hurled them spinning through the sky, blood erupting, bones cracking, with the red boxes still pinned to their grips.

The Godslayer Human and Atrox hung by a thread to survival.

One more blow would finish them off.

Regrettably, Anark found no opening for it.

The crimson boxes trembled fiercely, then ballooned outward in a blink, engulfing Markin and Kaizer entirely before fading away. Burning hatred and wrath filled Anark's stare. Cain's vanishing pressed on his mind, but he detected no sign of the Scarlet King.

And that wasn't the sole issue.

Even after Markin and Kaizer's exit, the Scarlet Crown faced utter peril. Countless True Depravitas kept plummeting, Cain's Chaos Wings offered no more protection to the city, and the gravitational array kept hauling it down.

Mind whirled with ideas, but delay was impossible.

In under a second, his eyes hardened. Free from the swarm of True Depravitas, Anark warped straight under the hovering city and released his might.

The Scarlet Crown teetered mere seconds from smashing into the continent, compelling the True Primordial of the Void to swell his form and halt its fall using his back and shoulders.

Simultaneously, Leonidas, Bael, and Amon surged into action. They streaked back to the Scarlet Crown's surface, ripping apart the lingering True Depravitas with ruthless precision. Though formidable and plentiful, these beasts served as disposable tools, helpless against the Knights of the

Scarlet Throne.

In mere minutes, the three had pulverized, sliced, and burned every final True Depravita born from the red boxes. With the urgent threat gone, they focused on the gravitational array.

Once on the ground, the three poured their soul power and psychic force into it, breaking it down piece by piece.

Freed from the relentless tug, the Scarlet Crown steadied and returned to its usual levitation. The inhabitants within gradually stood from the earth, their frames still quaking from the crushing force they'd borne.

Leonidas, Amon, and Bael dashed back to Anark's position at once. Their faces held solemn weight, doubt clouding their gazes. With his immense strength and Cain's faith in him, Anark stood as the deputy ruler of the Scarlet Kingdom.

His forehead creased as he pondered their choices.

"Since you three remain unscathed," Anark spoke deliberately, "Cain is still alive."

The Knights agreed with nods. Bound as Knights of the Scarlet Throne, their souls and egos dwelled within it, making their existence a testament to the Scarlet King's vitality.

"The issue," Anark went on, "lies in where that figure carried him. If Cain stayed anywhere in the Everstrife Empyrean World-or the nearby emptiness-I could detect him. But I sense nothing."

With Cain's life assured, locating him turned into their only goal.

Without delay, Anark called together the top leaders of the Scarlet Kingdom to craft a strategy. He held the greatest power among them, yet raw might didn't ensure cleverness. Even so, shared knowledge would light the way ahead much brighter.

A sprawling metropolis lay under a sky without stars.

Imposing structures and gigantic towers pierced the gloom. From afar, it looked commonplace, but a nearer look uncovered eerie oddities. The nocturnal heavens held zero stars, draping the city in an eerie, total blackness. Even more bizarre, the avenues stood deserted-completely barren of any living thing.

It resembled a realm locked in quiet, forsaken by all creation.

Suddenly, a scarlet whirlpool split the atmosphere.

Two forms stepped out.

The Scarlet King and the Immortal Knight materialized together,

in the exact stance they'd held back in the Scarlet Crown.

Without a second's pause, the fading red glow in the Immortal Knight's eyes detonated, unleashing a catastrophic blast that flung Cain aside. The Zero-State Spear tore free from his skull as he soared across the city.

Cain barreled through one structure before lodging deep in the side of another.

The collision boomed through the vacant streets.

Gradually, Cain raised his head. His eyes tightened as he sensed the burden

weighing on his frame. His very essence bore more weight and force than a full planet, yet the building's substance had endured his impact.

His stare intensified.

"Where am I?"
