The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2378 Mayhem in the Everstrife Empyrean World (II)

For an instant, Markin tightened his fists in rage.
As an Alpha-Omega Overgod revered in innumerable minor realms, he still found himself compelled to follow every order given. The shame seared through his core, yet this was the cost of bargaining one's essence with the infernal force.
A deal like that bestowed tremendous might, though the trade-off meant perpetual servitude. After the binding, eternal loyalty to the overlord was sealed.
"Let's just wrap this up and head back," Markin uttered in a frosty tone. "I'm unsure how much longer Sozing's concealment artifacts can shield us, and I don't think you'd like to push their boundaries."
Kaizer nodded right away in concurrence. Both desired to escape this location without delay, for discovery by the Scarlet King would spell their doom.
The pair wasted no time pulling out peculiar red containers. Sozing had explained that these items could survey vast areas and embed secret symbols to jam monitoring, scramble location senses, and block
links. This plan fit perfectly—Sozing aimed to cut off the Scarlet Crown ahead of the strike planned for years ahead.
However, as soon as Markin and Kaizer channeled their power into the containers, their faces turned rigid.
Thorns shot out with savage force.
Steel tore into skin while the thorns plunged through their hands, fastening them to the containers. Agony ravaged their forms, yet the ensuing horror proved even more dreadful. A torrent of spirit energy exploded from the relics, overwhelming their arms, infiltrating their centers, and rushing straight at their consciousness and identities.
Kaizer collapsed first.
The spark in his gaze faded as an external presence hijacked his frame. Markin held out a bit more, his determination blazing fiercely, but resistance proved pointless. Before long, he surrendered control too. The chiefs of the Empyrean Worlds turned into mere marionettes, their forms jerked by the containers.
The situation deteriorated further for the pair, compelled to supply the containers with their vital energy and spirit core.
The red relics consumed them like starving predators.
Within seconds, Markin and Kaizer withered into bony husks, their flesh hugging the skeleton as though all strength, tissue, and life had been sucked dry. Still, the offering held purpose.
The containers parted.
Myriad gazes peered out from inside.
Right then, Cain paused his cultivation session, his eyes flying wide. His vision focused keenly as he gazed upward, immediately fixing on the emaciated shapes of Markin and Kaizer.
A wave of astonishment surged inside him.
They had breached his domain without raising any alert.
No ripple, no alert, no chaos had occurred.
Cain shoved aside such notions as hordes of shapes burst from the red containers gripped by the pair. Each one was a True Depravita.
Certain ones mimicked dragons, some looked like griffins, and numerous adopted human-like outlines. But all possessed a single horrifying feature—they blazed like meteors, their essence howling apocalypse, ready to self-destruct in one devastating strike.
"An open assault..." Cain whispered.
His stare turned steely at once.
In a flash, Cain shattered the armament he'd been
working on, quelling the blast from a botched ordeal while triggering Resurrección. Chaos Wings erupted from his shoulders,
emitting supreme dominance.
Right before launching to block the descending Depravitas, Cain looked down.
The terrain under the Scarlet Crown started to shine.
Innumerable symbols appeared over the landmass, creating a massive pull of gravity that gripped the airborne metropolis. The tug was unbreakable.
All entities at Prima Deity Rank or lower crashed to the earth, immobilized. ArchDeities struggled to lift off too. Even more dire, the weight dragged the Scarlet Crown toward the depths.
Should the metropolis crash, not just the continent's inhabitants would vanish, but the crash would wipe out all below ArchDeity Rank within the Scarlet Crown.
"After endless forging, after absorbing the power from myriad elites," Cain thought darkly, "the Scarlet Crown has evolved into an Alpha-Omega Overgod Treasure... but even it can't resist this downward force."
That fact revealed it all.
This wasn't a basic raid.
"It's happening."
The Tenth Empyrean World launched its assault.
Cain quelled all feelings in his chest, achieving total focus. The mastermind behind this was surely a ruler from the Tenth Empyrean World, an exceptionally mighty one, far surpassing Azazel.
In no time, Cain materialized over the hovering city. His power flowed out, securing the Scarlet Crown and clashing head-on with the smothering pull. Simultaneously, his Chaos Wings stretched wide, ballooning until they wrapped the whole city in a gigantic barrier.
The initial wave of True Depravitas struck.
"BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!"
"BOOM!"
Blasts resounded without end in the heavens as the Depravitas exploded on contact with the Chaos Wings. Every detonation shoved the
Scarlet Crown lower, bit by bit.
Cain gritted his teeth, channeling all his reserves to steady the city against the gravitational crush. This marked his solo breaking point.
Luckily, allies stood with him.
Though the pull kept ArchDeities grounded, certain figures in the Scarlet Kingdom transcended those bounds.
Four silhouettes ascended to the heavens.
They slashed gory trails amid the flood of plummeting True
Depravitas, their might ripping enemy lines with horrifying simplicity. Violet, golden, white, and dark flows of power
rose high, piercing the loftiest heights.
Their sights fixed on Markin, Kaizer, and the red containers.
These four consisted of the True Primordial of the Void and
the three Knights of the Scarlet Throne.
They matched Cain's initial stun at the abrupt invasion.
Yet no words were needed.
Markin and Kaizer sustained the containers spawning the True Depravitas, so their end was inevitable.
