The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2374 Reaching the Second Layer of the World of the Root

Cain, naturally, wasn't the type to linger on difficulties. Challenges were meant to be overcome, and answers were always available to anyone determined and strong enough to seize them. His attention sharpened now: he was set to promote two additional followers to Knights of the Scarlet Throne. Luckily, the selections had already been made.
"They stand as the mightiest," Cain whispered under his breath. "And their devotion has been tested without question. Selecting them ensures they won't disappoint
me."
The Scarlet King's gaze burned with unyielding resolve as he readied himself to press on with his efforts.
The invasions of the World of the Root had adhered to a strict pattern. Without exception, every two weeks saw the Nine Empyren Suns Alliance unleash a fresh offensive. This timing was deliberately set—sufficient for their fighters to recuperate, yet brief enough to stop the World of the Root from mending the wounds from the previous raid completely.
But on this occasion, a shift occurred.
Two weeks elapsed.
Followed by three.
Still, no mobilization order arrived from the Alliance's Warmaster.
Puzzlement rippled through the troops as they pondered the Scarlet King's delay in rallying them. With almost a month gone since the prior assault, agitation started to build. Seasoned fighters honed their blades with growing frustration, and even the steadiest soldiers sensed doubt seeping into their minds.
After all, the extended delay in striking allowed the Heart of
the Root more opportunity to recover, rendering their previous struggles futile.
Finally, the command echoed forth.
The Scarlet King rallied the entire might of the Alliance for the advance.
The legions poured across the emptiness in grand arrays until they faced the immense World of the Root once again. Innumerable gazes locked with intensity as Cain moved ahead, lifting the All-Devouring Eye. A deafening surge of might burst free, starting to devour and erode a portion of the Wall of Fire and Flesh.
Conflict loomed near.
Even so, amid their preparedness, numerous fighters couldn't quell their intrigue. Next to Anark, the True Depravita of the Void, stood three silhouettes draped in scarlet cloaks. An immense aura emanated from them, compelling looks even right before the fray.
To flank Anark was a privilege for mythic figures alone. What identities did they hold?
Before guesses could form, the All-Devouring Eye unleashed a tremendous energy ray. The Wall of Fire and Flesh burst apart savagely, exposing the tainted terrain of the World of the Root—and alongside it, Robuke, Radagon, and the rest of the Root's hideous titans.
The Scarlet King offered no speeches.
He charged straight in, accompanied by Markin and Kaizer, the steadfast duo who commanded the vanguard to affirm their allegiance. Blasts ignited the skies without delay, transforming the firmament into a blazing maelstrom.
Anark pursued, unleashing a violet primal energy that detonated as he smashed directly into Radagon.
And in that instant—
The three shrouded forms unveiled their true selves.
Their red garments exploded under the rush of force as they strode out to confront the Root's three premier High Lords.
The lead silhouette flared like an incarnate star.
His frame was sheathed in gleaming golden plating, unyielding and luminous. In his grasp rested a huge barrier and a plated sword, both aflame with sacred blaze. Recognition was immediate.
Leonidas.
However, a change had taken hold.
His Ego Wave loomed gigantic—almost twice that of elite dominators over vast Empyrean Worlds like Cipher and Uriel. The raw intensity of his aura warped the surrounding combat zone.
And the astonishment continued.
The next form was a giant humanoid in polished white armor. His helm gleamed featureless and sleek, topped by a glowing ring that lent it a noble yet threatening air. Strands of ghostly vapor streamed ceaselessly from him, while boundless vitality and primal strength radiated forth.
The final one matched in grandeur.
His build, crafted from steel and inferno, pulsed with ruinous force. Overlapping white and black attire hugged his shape, ragged and charred as liquid flames surged along the edges. A sleek, sharp visor hid his features, icy and devoid of emotion. From his shoulders sprang fiery, wing-shaped flares, channeling death's
ultimate essence.
Though their appearances had transformed, their essences remained recognizable.
Bael and Amon.
The siblings had at last unlocked their Resurrección.
Their strength had skyrocketed.
Their spirits and egos flared with incredible fervor—yet displayed no fatigue, as though their wells of power were boundless. As the three ultimately engaged the High Lords of the Root, the planet's crust quaked ferociously.
The resulting tremors outstripped those from Markin, an
Alpha-Omega Overgod.
Stunned bewilderment swept the field of battle.
Even the Root's army wavered, their faces etched with wonder
and doubt at this abrupt surge of supreme might.
Yet within the ranks of the Nine Empyren Suns Alliance—
Grins emerged.
They held back nothing.
Discarding all doubts, they charged ahead, their spirits aflame as they sensed their faction's dominance swell once more. The warzone erupted in turmoil as the Knights of the Scarlet Throne sparked a catastrophic chain reaction.
The Alliance drove further. And further.
Until eventually, the clash spilled right onto the continental expanse
itself. Robuke and Radagon bellowed in rage and wrath as torrents of flame and ruin burst everywhere. Whole landmasses vanished in moments—not just crumbling the grotesque tissues and rot, but ripping asunder the core structure of the realm.
While the Root's commanders seethed in anger—
Cain and Anark brimmed with joy.
They struck with full fury, pouring out unending havoc. The Root's Beast and Sovereign were hurled into the earth repeatedly, powerless against the unstoppable tide.
Then—
A gigantic blast ripped across the exterior.
Not just harming it—
But breaching it completely.
A enormous rift gaped in the World of the Root, unveiling the depths below.
The Second Layer.
Cain's eyes blazed with thrill and victory.
