The Divine Urban Physician Chapter 3562: Altar (Sixth Update)

"It seems the waterfall is producing this noise."
Xuanyuan Moxie’s eyes held a profound depth. While staring at the waterfall, he reflected that typical falls wouldn’t generate this level of disturbance, nor would they capture his interest.
The water pouring from this waterfall carried an extraordinary allure and weighed immensely; although it fell short of the heaviness in Samsara Graveyard’s waters, it remained impressively dense.
"This..."
Xuanyuan Moxie abruptly jumped from the pathway into the thick woods beneath, then approached the waterfall’s face to sense the immense, unstoppable, fierce, and dominant rush nearby. That enigmatic allure sharpened even more.
"This is the Water Origin, the Power of Source!"
Xuanyuan Moxie’s eyes suddenly bulged, and he stared at the waterfall in astonishment. It stunned him that the cascade’s flow harbored Source Power.
"This spot brims with tremendous fortune and nomological powers!"
Xuanyuan Moxie’s mind trembled, after wandering through the thick woods for quite a while. The woods weren’t extensive, so he soon scanned the entire area and spotted nothing unusual.
The sole remarkable aspect was this waterfall. Xuanyuan Moxie’s stare fixed back on the waterfall. Right then, he glanced upward along its course, to the origin where the waters surged out—the one section of the woods he hadn’t examined yet.
The waterfall’s waters proved too weighty for Xuanyuan Moxie to risk its cutting force. In his present condition, a hit from the fall might make him cough up blood and perish.
Thus, Xuanyuan Moxie had to hold back his urge for the time being and settle down cross-legged a short distance from the waterfall to recover.
Now, as he channeled spiritual energy to mend his wounds, Xuanyuan Moxie surprisingly noticed that the ultimate allure in the waterfall—the Power of Water Origin—seeped into him during cultivation, speeding up his recovery several-fold.
"What a treasure, it’s truly a treasure!"
Excitement surged through Xuanyuan Moxie right away. Once he took in the Power of Water Origin, he realized its root lay at the waterfall’s origin, where endless streams burst from a fissure in the mountain, displaying awe-inspiring splendor.
Xuanyuan Moxie guessed that immense fortune awaited inside the fissure, so he shut his eyes promptly to keep healing, eager to venture in without delay.
In another location, Ye Chen, the Sky-covering Demon Emperor, and Jun Mo appeared inside the Nine Death Realm on an altar.
The altar stretched out enormously, resembling those employed by ancient titans at the dawn of heaven and earth, etched with massive runes that radiated a horrifying presence able to shatter the cosmos.
"Where exactly is this?"
Ye Chen arched his brows faintly, sensing the altar’s exceptional quality right off, and since their arrival in the Nine Death Realm happened at random spots, they didn’t know their position in the domain.
"This doesn’t seem like a safe spot; we should depart at once."
Jun Mo uttered these words gravely just then. His inner blood essence quivered fiercely, as though gripped by terror, leaving him on edge.
"Mm."
Ye Chen gave a light nod in response; he shared that indistinct premonition of trouble, and his goal in entering the Nine Death Realm was to locate Ye Luo, not to clash with this altar.
Next, Ye Chen, Jun Mo, and the Demon Emperor stirred their spiritual energy to attempt flight from the altar, but they found themselves unable to rise. The altar enforced fearsome laws that blocked their ascent.
"Looks like we’ll have to proceed on foot."
A flicker crossed Ye Chen’s eyes, his unease mounting further.
An infinite woodland encircled the altar; colossal divine trees blocked out the sun, permitting just slivers of light to pierce the foliage.
The foliage on these trees took on odd forms mimicking diverse armaments, appearing profoundly arcane.
"Stay alert, I keep sensing peril all around."
Jun Mo warned with a heavy expression here, his frame already coiled tight for battle. His blood essence shook harder, heightening his dread of the area.
Though the altar spanned widely, and Ye Chen’s group couldn’t take to the air, their pace on the ground stayed brisk. Before long, they arrived at the altar’s boundary.
"Phew."
Tension had gripped Jun Mo the whole way; reaching the altar’s rim at last let him exhale in relief.
"Guess I worried too much."
Jun Mo shook his head, offering a wry grin at himself.
"No, this feels off."
Ye Chen’s features shifted subtly upon hearing that, his gaze piercing into the woodland before them, his look turning grave.
"There’s something out there!"
Ye Chen yelled out abruptly, while simultaneously deploying Destruction Divine Dao, unleashing a ferocious wave of ruinous force.
Innumerable armaments burst from the woods all at once; astonishingly, these turned out to be the leaves from the divine trees.
"Boom!"
The savage ruinous energy detonated in combat, colliding with the armaments. Much to Ye Chen’s shock, these leaf-formed weapons proved incredibly resilient and keen, even as simple foliage.
"Bang bang bang!"
Salvo after salvo of armaments hurtled with furious might in their blasting charge, some even breaching the shield of ruinous energy, their lethal keenness as if cleaving light and enlightenment alike.
"Blood Killing Spirit Rain!"
Jun Mo had stayed vigilant; seeing the onslaught of armaments, he bellowed in fury. Myriad crimson gleams erupted from his form.
Primeval and savage crimson radiance wielded immense might, coalescing overhead into raindrops that soon cascaded in a deluge.
Any armament touched by the crimson downpour vanished instantly; this scarlet precipitation, laced with ruinous essence, echoed somewhat Ye Chen’s Destruction Divine Dao.
Seeing this display, Ye Chen regarded Jun Mo with unavoidable wonder; clearly, Jun Mo concealed numerous secrets, and Ye Chen still hadn’t fully grasped this fellow.
Just then, the Sky-covering Demon Emperor sprang into action too. Eyeing the enigmatic shadowy woods ahead, boundless potent demonic qi erupted skyward, thundering as it barreled into the trees.
"Whatever lurks in hiding, show yourself!"
The Sky-covering Demon Emperor roared in wrath, his ruinous demonic qi swiftly leveling countless trees, exposing the entities concealed in the woods.
Towering behemoths with colossal builds appeared, draped in animal hides, brandishing the leaf armaments from the trees, and fixing hostile glares on Ye Chen and his companions.
Bizarre markings adorned these behemoths’ skins; the markings even shifted across their flesh, glimmering now and then, as potent surges from the markings flooded into the behemoths’ frames.
These behemoths wielded exceptional might, the majority at Holy Ancestor Realm strength, while the biggest attained the seventh layer of the Holy Ancestor Realm.
Among these behemoths, the loftiest one, whose markings glowed most intensely, stood as their obvious chief, who abruptly parted his jaws to utter words.
"Abo Alara!"
"What’s that mean?" Jun Mo queried, baffled and unable to comprehend.
"That’s the tongue of the Cangmu Giants," the Sky-covering Demon Emperor noted while eyeing the behemoth, his gaze alight.
"Cangmu Giant?" Jun Mo gaped at the words, staring at the Demon Emperor in disbelief, clearly taken aback that he knew such obscure dialects.
Yet Ye Chen felt little surprise; the Sky-covering Demon Emperor harbored vast hidden lore, and grasping odd tongues came as no shock.
"Cangmu Giant, a variant among the giant kin, dwelling upon the Divine Wood Giant Tree," the Sky-covering Demon Emperor went on.
"But these clearly aren’t pure Cangmu Giants, merely bearing traces of Cangmu Giant bloodline, since the Cangmu Giant lineage perished ages ago."
The Sky-covering Demon Emperor eyed the behemoths’ chief closely, a hint of scorn passing through his eyes.
"So what did he just say?" Jun Mo pressed, curiosity getting the better of him.
