The Divine Urban Physician Chapter 3562: Altar (Sixth Update)

Previously on The Divine Urban Physician...
An elderly woman, recognizing Ye Luo's Ancestor Dragon Bloodline, kneels in servitude and offers to heal her wounds in the treacherous Nine Death Realm, transforming into a divine dragon to carry her away. As pure energy flows into Ye Luo, aiding her recovery, a hidden seal begins to form within her body, betraying the woman's true intent to deliver her to the Han Yuan Emperor for a grand reward. Sensing the deception, Ye Luo conceals her awareness and gathers her strength. Meanwhile, Xuanyuan Moxie, concealed in a mountain cave after falling into the realm, watches Ye Luo's departure in fury, his chance to reclaim the Chong Guang Divine Radiance Palace slipping away. Nursing his injuries and seething with hatred for Ye Chen, he ventures deeper into the cave, drawn by a majestic aura, and uncovers a hidden inner world of lush forest and cascading waterfall.

"So, it turns out this noise comes from the waterfall."

Xuanyuan Moxie's eyes held a profound depth. While staring at the waterfall, he realized that no regular cascade could possibly cause such a stir, and certainly not capture his interest.

The waters pouring from this waterfall carried an extraordinary allure and weighed immensely; although they fell short of the heaviness in Samsara Graveyard's waters, they remained impressively dense.

"This..."

Xuanyuan Moxie abruptly jumped from the pathway into the thick woods beneath, then approached the waterfall's face to sense the immense, unstoppable, fierce, and dominant rush nearby. That enigmatic allure sharpened even more.

"This is the Water Origin, the Power of Source!"

Xuanyuan Moxie's eyes suddenly bulged wide, and he stared at the waterfall in utter astonishment. It stunned him that the cascade's flow held Source Power within it.

"This spot brims with tremendous fortune and laws of nature!"

Xuanyuan Moxie's mind raced with excitement after wandering the thick woods for quite some time. The woods weren't too expansive, so he soon scanned the entire area and spotted nothing unusual.

The sole remarkable element was this very waterfall. Xuanyuan Moxie's stare fixed back on the waterfall. Right then, he glanced upward along its course, to where the waters surged out—the one part of the woods he hadn't examined yet.

The waterfall's flow proved far too weighty for Xuanyuan Moxie to risk its cutting force. In his present condition, getting hit by the cascade might make him cough up blood and perish.

Thus, Xuanyuan Moxie had to hold back his urge for now and simply settle into a cross-legged position a short distance from the waterfall to recover.

Right then, as he channeled spiritual energy to mend his wounds, Xuanyuan Moxie surprisingly noticed that the ultimate allure in the waterfall—the Power of Water Origin—seeped into him during cultivation, speeding up his recovery several times over.

"What a treasure, an absolute treasure!"

Excitement surged through Xuanyuan Moxie right away. After drawing in the Power of Water Origin, he sensed its origin lay at the waterfall's head, where endless streams burst from a fissure in the mountain, grand and imposing.

Xuanyuan Moxie guessed a major chance waited inside the fissure, so he promptly shut his eyes to keep healing, eager to venture in as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, Ye Chen, the Sky-covering Demon Emperor, and Jun Mo appeared in the Nine Death Realm at an altar.

The altar stretched out enormously, as if built by titans back in the primordial era when heaven and earth formed, etched with massive runes that radiated a fearsome presence able to shatter the cosmos.

"Where exactly is this?"

Ye Chen arched his brows faintly, sensing the altar's exceptional quality right off, and with their arrival spot in the Nine Death Realm being unpredictable, they had no clue about their position inside it.

"This doesn't seem like a safe spot; we should get out fast."

Jun Mo's expression turned grave as he said this. His inner blood essence quivered fiercely, like it dreaded something, leaving him on edge.

"Mm."

Ye Chen gave a slight nod at those words; he shared a faint premonition of trouble, and he'd come to the Nine Death Realm seeking Ye Luo, not to tangle with this altar.

Next, Ye Chen, Jun Mo, and the Demon Emperor stirred their spiritual energy to attempt flight off the altar, but found they couldn't take to the air. The altar enforced harsh rules that blocked their rise.

"Looks like we'll have to go on foot."

Unease deepened in Ye Chen's eyes, growing stronger by the moment.

A boundless woodland ringed the altar; colossal divine trees blocked out the sun, letting just slivers of light pierce the canopy.

The foliage on these trees took on odd shapes resembling all sorts of blades, giving off an aura of deep mystery.

"Stay alert, I keep sensing peril all around."

Jun Mo warned with a heavy look, his frame already coiled tight for a fight. His blood essence shook harder, heightening his dread of the area.

Though the altar spanned a wide area, and Ye Chen with his companions couldn't soar, their pace on the ground stayed brisk. Before long, they arrived at its boundary.

"Phew."

Jun Mo had stayed tense the whole way; reaching the altar's rim at last let him exhale in relief.

"Guess I worried too much."

Jun Mo chuckled wryly while shaking his head.

"No, this feels off."

Ye Chen's features shifted at once, his gaze locked sharp on the woods before them, his face turning stern.

"There's something out there!"

Ye Chen yelled abruptly, while releasing Destruction Divine Dao at the same time, sending a savage wave of ruinous force charging ahead.

Suddenly, from the woodland, a horde of weapons shot out; astonishingly, these turned out to be the leaves from the divine trees.

"Boom!"

The savage ruinous force burst out in combat, smashing against the weapons. Much to Ye Chen's shock, even as mere leaves, these blade-like foliage proved incredibly resilient and keen.

"Bang bang bang!"

Salvo after salvo of weapons unleashed fierce might in their blasting charge, some even breaching the shield of ruinous force, their lethal edges as if cleaving through light and enlightenment.

"Blood Killing Spirit Rain!"

Jun Mo had remained vigilant; seeing the weapons launch a total assault, he bellowed in fury. Innumerable crimson gleams burst from his form.

Primeval and savage crimson light carried immense force, forming raindrops high above that soon cascaded in a deluge.

Any weapon touched by the crimson downpour vanished in an instant; this blood-hued shower, packed with ruinous vibe, echoed Ye Chen's Destruction Divine Dao in some ways.

Seeing this display, Ye Chen glanced at Jun Mo with clear surprise; the man clearly kept plenty under wraps, and Ye Chen still hadn't fully figured him out.

Just then, the Sky-covering Demon Emperor joined the fray too. Eyeing the shadowy deep woods ahead, boundless potent demonic qi erupted from him, howling as it barreled into the trees.

"Whatever's lurking in there, show yourself!"

The Sky-covering Demon Emperor roared in rage, his ruinous demonic qi wiping out countless trees in a flash, exposing the secrets the woodland concealed.

These turned out to be colossal giants draped in animal hides, gripping the leaf-blades as weapons, and they fixed hostile glares on Ye Chen and his group.

Odd markings covered the giants' skins; those markings even shifted across their flesh, flickering now and then, as bursts of power from the markings flooded into the giants' bodies.

These giants boasted impressive might, with most at Holy Ancestor Realm level, and the biggest among them hitting the seventh layer of that realm.

Among the giants stood the loftiest one, whose markings glowed the most vividly, clearly their chief, and he abruptly parted his lips to utter words.

"Abo Alara!"

"What was that?" Jun Mo questioned, baffled and unable to comprehend.

"That's the tongue of the Cangmu Giants," the Sky-covering Demon Emperor noted while eyeing the giant, his gaze alight with interest.

"Cangmu Giant?" Jun Mo gaped at the words, staring at the Demon Emperor in disbelief, clearly taken aback that he knew such obscure speech.

Yet Ye Chen felt little shock; the Sky-covering Demon Emperor held vast hidden lore, and grasping weird tongues came as no surprise.

"Cangmu Giants form one branch of the giant kin, dwelling upon the Divine Wood Giant Tree," the Sky-covering Demon Emperor went on.

"But these aren't pure Cangmu Giants, just carrying traces of their bloodline, since the true Cangmu Giant clan got wiped out ages ago."

The Sky-covering Demon Emperor eyed the giants' leader closely, a hint of scorn crossing his look.

"So, what exactly did he mean?" Jun Mo pressed, curiosity getting the better of him.
