The Divine Urban Physician Chapter 3558: Ye Luo’s Predicament (2nd Update)

"Hmm?"
For a brief instant, Jun Mo froze in surprise at those words, taking in the elder's deferential demeanor toward Ye Chen.
The elder's strength seemed bottomless, stretching infinitely across the All Heavens, his authority immense and overwhelming.
A single look from the elder left Jun Mo on edge, but now this powerhouse was showing such deference to Ye Chen, honoring him like a superior. What could explain this?
The Sky-covering Demon Emperor picked up on the oddity too, narrowing his eyes at the elder before a spark of realization lit them up, as he pieced it together.
Ye Chen's true nature was utterly fearsome; no matter how mighty this elder might be, he couldn't surpass the Samsara Master. Clearly, the elder had uncovered Ye Chen's secret, prompting this deep respect.
"Ye Chen, this..." Jun Mo brimmed with confusion and turned his gaze to Ye Chen instinctively.
"It's nothing, this senior is just messing with you on purpose." Ye Chen replied with a calm smile, while shooting the elder a pointed look that carried an unspoken message.
Sensing Ye Chen's stare, the elder shuddered slightly, aware he'd overstepped his words. Ye Chen evidently wanted his identity kept hidden, so the elder forced a grin right away.
"Yes, I was only joking around. After brushing against death, your mind races with endless thoughts. Without some easing up, inner demons can easily take root."
Jun Mo nodded at these words, finding truth in the elder's advice; venturing into the death domain had him cycling through Samsara across the boundless All Heavens, unlocking profound lessons on life and death, though his thoughts tangled like he'd endured countless ages.
Noting Jun Mo's acceptance, the Sky-covering Demon Emperor—who'd already seen through it—flashed a cunning smirk, impressed by the elder's bold-faced deception that slipped by without issue.
Chastened by Ye Chen's warning, the elder held his tongue, instead flicking his hand to unveil the gateway to the Nine Death Realm that Ye Chen had glimpsed before.
With the Nine Death Realm's portal appearing, it seized the focus of Jun Mo and the Sky-covering Demon Emperor. A crushing wave of ruin poured from the opening, evoking a genuine infernal realm in the mortal world, stripped of all life force, far more dreadful than Death Ancient City.
The crimson stains on the Nine Death Realm's gateway looked even more chilling, steeped in antiquity and immensity, yet brimming with limitless Great Power, so lifelike they hinted at origins from exalted beings.
Who could have drawn blood from such exalted figures and inflicted such agony? What sort of horrifying clash had raged within the Nine Death Realm?
"This marks the way into the Nine Death Realm—please enter." The elder announced, gesturing invitingly to Ye Chen and his allies.
"We've made it at last," Jun Mo breathed out at the words, then glanced over at Ye Chen and the Sky-covering Demon Emperor.
"You two, come on, we'll head in as a group."
"Alright." Ye Chen answered coolly, moving to stand by Jun Mo, as the Sky-covering Demon Emperor advanced too.
Together, the trio plunged straight through the portal of the Nine Death Realm.
"Boom!"
As soon as they crossed the threshold, the entrance slammed shut with a deafening crash, and the elder stared intently upward at the heavens.
Right then, Death Ancient City, Death Canyon, and Death Demon Mountain all crumbled to powder, as if they'd never stood at all.
The outside realm shifted back to a barren wasteland, strewn with skeletal remains, while crows and vultures circled overhead, cawing without end.
These ordeals tied to the Nine Death Realm are forever shifting, lingering in one spot briefly until those who enter either fall or reach the Nine Death Realm, at which point it all fades and relocates elsewhere.
Naturally, none of the external changes reached Ye Chen and his group as they ventured into the Nine Death Realm.
...
Inside the Nine Death Realm, a dark shroud blanketed the land, thick decay hanging in the air, crafting the image of an authentic underworld, the atmosphere thick with the tang of blood and ash, while swirling Great Power tore through the emptiness, hinting at some past cataclysmic fight.
In the Nine Death Realm's southwestern reaches sprawled a vast depression, its heart an infinite Purgatory where fearsome lava churned, spewing blistering bubbles that popped into thick plumes of dark vapor.
Within this depression, every form of Life faced certain doom, with no chance of endurance; the horror reached unparalleled depths.
Still, amid the depression's core, atop the scant islands of solid ground, floated a luminous orb pulsing with a grand, solemn presence, its regal force pushing back the nearby searing blasts and blocking all nearness.
"Where am I?"
In that instant, a soft voice rose from the orb, which then burst apart, exposing a figure somewhat worn but stunningly exquisite and otherworldly.
It was Ye Luo, who rose unsteadily, scanning her surroundings and finding herself ringed by ceaseless lava, her recollections muddled as if she'd passed through infinite Samsara.
"What’s happened to me?"
Ye Luo shook her head hard, piecing together old memories, slowly recalling the clash in the corridor against Xuanyuan Mo, and Xuan Jiyue's sudden involvement.
Once Xuan Jiyue stepped in, Ye Luo blacked out, left only with the feeling of endless falling, then plunging into a realm of perpetual Samsara, where she grasped the secrets of life and death, before stirring awake in this place.
"Wherever this might be, getting out comes first."
Ye Luo's eyes grew cold, as she summoned her strength in a rush, her form erupting in Golden Light, faintly outlining a divine dragon's silhouette.
"Cough..."
A fierce ache stabbed Ye Luo's chest, metallic bitterness flooding her mouth, the divine dragon's outline shattering in a flash; she'd aimed to shift into dragon shape for flight, but her injuries from the fight proved too severe.
On top of that, the decay in this area pressed relentlessly, gnawing at her frame and weakening her further, rendering the dragon shift unfeasible—she needed to recover and mend swiftly.
Ye Luo settled into a cross-legged pose on the earth, drawing in spiritual energy that flowed and converged within her.
Brilliance bloomed from Ye Luo's form, commanding and supreme, like the world's most unyielding force, standing against everything; it scattered every encroaching decay.
"Boom!"
Mere moments into her breath regulation, a massive rumble shook the ground, the terrain quaking violently, nearby ridges rocking as summits toppled and rocks tumbled without cease.
A keen light sparked in Ye Luo's gaze—such massive disturbance screamed impending catastrophe.
Right then, an enormous creature, towering like a peak, burst forth across the adjacent flatlands.
Trailing the colossal beast came an endless surge of monsters, diverse massive creatures charging wildly, their bellows resounding ceaselessly across the skies and earth.
