The Divine Urban Physician Chapter 3451: 3451: I've Been Waiting for You (Second Update)

Ye Chen squinted his eyes. Following that fierce clash, the Nine Nether Tiger looked ready to reclaim its lost memories. If it managed that right now, it might emerge as an unreliable element, turning any battle against it into a real hassle.
The Ancient Box emerged swiftly, and Ye Chen stored the Nine Nether Tiger within it right away, before answering the Sky-covering Demon Emperor, “I don’t know.”
Ye Chen genuinely had no clue about the stone door at the bottom of this crater, yet amid the earlier fight that carved out the huge depression, he had sensed something down there pulling at him strongly.
It was clear now that this odd sensation stemmed from the stone door itself. Whatever secrets hid beyond it would reveal themselves once they pried it open.
“Let’s head down to check it out,” Ye Chen stated evenly, his frame shaking as a torrent of fierce energy burst forth, dropping him onto the stone door like an almighty ruler.
Upon Ye Chen’s arrival, gusts of wind scattered the dust from the stone door, unveiling its true form right in front of him.
Right then, the Sky-covering Demon Emperor and Little Gold touched down too, staring at the stone door in shock. They could faintly sense it carried the breath of boundless eras and a legacy stretching into the distant past.
The stone door pointed upward toward the sky, radiating a soft luminescence, its drawing force tugging specifically at Ye Chen.
“This looks like a formation.”
Ye Chen arched a brow and stepped onto the stone door. With all the grime cleared away, he realized it formed a round shape, etched with myriad enigmatic runes circling its rim.
At the heart of the stone door sat eight vibrant, stunning gemstones embedded there, releasing an aura steeped in antiquity.
Images of chains adorned the stone door, and at their crossing points lingered a subtle, ghostly silhouette.
“Heavenly Demon Bright Eye!” Ye Chen unleashed the technique once more. Since his focus wasn’t the Master of the Inner Demon this time, no opposition arose. Instantly, Ye Chen grasped the stone door’s real nature.
“Just as I thought, it’s a formation—a teleportation one,” Ye Chen’s mouth hooked up faintly. Abruptly, he jabbed a finger at the core spot encircled by the eight gems.
“Sizzle!”
Spiritual energy gathered there, making the stone door shudder right away, while echoes of primeval incantations rang out, as though whisking Ye Chen and his three allies through the vast flow of time.
Surges of Hongmeng Energy rippled outward, and the stone door under them started turning gradually. The following instant, a glow wrapped around Ye Chen and his group.
“Buzz!”
The ground shook fiercely, and sacred radiance lit up the area, blocking every view. When the sacred light finally faded, the crater stood empty of Ye Chen and his companions, leaving only the slowing, fading stone door as proof of their recent visit.
“Roar!”
The surroundings whirled wildly, sending Ye Chen and his allies to an enigmatic realm. Darkness closed in abruptly, yet a savage beast’s bellow erupted just then.
“Boom, boom, boom!”
A barrage of dull impacts thundered through, and soon after, a huge scarlet shape burst from the shadows, lunging straight at Ye Chen and his group.
In a flash, Ye Chen made out the shape’s details. It resembled a savage tiger in form but towered enormously, boasting two heads striped in black and white like tigers, ragged black bat wings sprouting from its back, and nine tails dragging in its wake.
“Hmph, Evil Demon Tiger!” the Sky-covering Demon Emperor huffed coldly, clearly identifying the beast, as his form quivered and demonic qi exploded everywhere.
“Roar…” The being called the Evil Demon Tiger quailed before the Sky-covering Demon Emperor’s aura. Terror flooded its gaze, and it promptly bowed its head, prostrating itself in deference.
“What exactly is this Evil Demon Tiger?” Ye Chen lifted a brow. Though the creature cowered deeply before the Sky-covering Demon Emperor, its strength remained formidable, sitting at the Heavenly God Realm First Layer Heaven.
“It’s a kind of demon, though one that thrived only in ancient eras and ought to have vanished by now,” the Sky-covering Demon Emperor clarified.
At those words, realization dawned in Ye Chen’s eyes, “So this spot must rank as a key domain in the Netherworld Hall. That Evil Demon Tiger is likely one of its sentinels.”
“If this area holds such value, surely there’s more than just this single tiger guarding it, isn’t there?” Little Gold inquired with curiosity, eyeing Ye Chen and the Sky-covering Demon Emperor, who both regarded him with amused grins.
Next, Ye Chen lightly snapped his fingers, summoning a sudden light that gleamed brightly, banishing the gloom from the hidden space.
Evil Demon Tigers emerged one by one from the obscurity, growling with menace. The area twisted in complexity, riddled with endless corridors that pulsed with an arcane, timeless essence.
“So many of them?” Little Gold hadn’t spotted them earlier and now gawked around in astonishment, noting Evil Demon Tigers swarming the place.
“These demons come in hordes, yet they couldn’t stop even a single Holy Ancestor Realm powerhouse. Does the Netherworld Hall really possess so little might?”
Little Gold commented further.
“No way,” Ye Chen answered with a calm grin, pulling forth the Slaughter Sword and slashing out leisurely.
Though Ye Chen’s move seemed offhand, the sword’s force raged with dominance, unleashing a storm of raw power in a heartbeat.
“Roar!” Enraged by the assault, the Evil Demon Tigers bared their fangs dripping with bloodlust and let out furious howls.
But the very next moment, the sword’s gleam tore through hordes of Evil Demon Tigers, sending sprays of gore flying wildly. The surviving ones froze in dread, whimpering pathetically, shedding their fierce beastly pride and acting more like scared kittens in their pleas.
After cowing the swarm of Evil Demon Tigers, Ye Chen leaped skyward, gripping the Slaughter Sword as he soared above the cowering beasts’ heads.
This realm held a web of pathways, yet three stood out as the widest, their walls adorned with elaborate murals, marking them as far more significant than the rest. Ye Chen picked the one in the middle.
“Little Gold, Senior Demon Emperor, we’ll divide into three routes to scout faster,” Ye Chen suggested steadily.
“Sure,” Little Gold and the Sky-covering Demon Emperor consented, stepping into the wide passages flanking the center.
Having been daunted by Ye Chen’s prior sword blow and the intimidating demonic qi from the Sky-covering Demon Emperor, the Evil Demon Tigers refrained from stirring up trouble once more, even as bloodthirsty flickers lingered in their stares.
In this hidden domain, the Evil Demon Tigers ranked as the lowliest, so they avoided venturing into the corridors and stuck to the outer chamber, for deeper inside those paths, far mightier beings lurked!
As soon as Ye Chen ventured into the middle corridor, he felt an unusual energy cloaking the hallway, with soft murmurs drifting from the emptiness and streams of radiance drifting by. The stone figures lining the walls appeared to wink subtly.
“Boom!”
The instant after, a towering three-headed, six-armed Giant erupted from the mural, its stony frame shifting to living muscle and skin in a blink. It hurled a savage fist at Ye Chen.
“Hmph, I’ve been waiting for you.”
Ye Chen sneered icily, swinging the Slaughter Sword laced with killing intent, as the Destruction Divine Dao ignited fully. The sheer might, fused with Ye Chen’s colossal presence, felt poised to shatter the skies and shatter the earth in one devastating blow.
A hint of alarm crept into the Giant’s ferocious eyes, and it hurriedly begged, “Spare me, my lord, I…”
