The Divine Urban Physician Chapter 3387: High-Level Species (Part 1)

Previously on The Divine Urban Physician...
Martial God Mountain, a powerful Outer Realm organization, received a Talisman Decree from Empress Xuanji Yue, instructing them to investigate the Samsara Master. Martial God Ming Gu, a loyal follower of the Empress, decided to seek out Ye Chen, believing he held crucial information about the Heavenly Dao Palace. He dispatched Elder Ning Xuanhai to invite or forcibly bring Ye Chen to Martial God Mountain, offering assistance during the World Destructive Tribulation as an incentive. Upon leaving Martial God Mountain, Ning Xuanhai and his disciples experienced a suppression of their cultivation levels.

"Quiet! Her Majesty the Empress's Destiny Dao is not a topic for casual chatter. Do you have a death wish?"

Ning Xuanhai’s expression darkened as he cast a sharp glare at Han Zui.

Han Zui’s face turned pale. Realizing his blunder, he immediately clamped his mouth shut.

Despite his arrogance, he did not possess the courage to recklessly speculate on the Empress’s cultivation realms.

"Senior brother, if you are so curious about Ye Chen’s capabilities, why not test him yourself with a spar once we arrive at the Demon Suppression Hall?"

Yun Hongchen let out a soft laugh, shielding her mouth. Draped in vibrant red, her beauty was striking. Around her waist was tied a red ribbon—the Amber Red Dark Silk, one of the Thirty-Three Heavenly Hongmeng Supreme Treasures. It pulsed with a faint crimson glow, harboring a supreme Heavenly Fire Spiritual Energy designed to incinerate demonic entities.

"Hehe, if he is brave enough to accept, I would be more than happy to show him," Han Zui sneered. He remained unconvinced that Ye Chen could truly survive the lethal edge of Xuanyuan Moxie.

He had heard rumors of Ye Chen’s vast harem and suspected the man was a figurehead who relied on his women to survive. In his mind, the Hall Master of the Demon Suppression Hall was likely a man of great fame but mediocre strength.

Ning Xuanhai looked at Han Zui and sighed, shaking his head. "We will forgo tearing through the void this time. We shall travel by conventional means, passing through Boundary City before reaching the Demon Suppression Hall in the Seventh Divine Nation. It will take longer, but it will keep our profile low."

"Our primary objective is escorting Ye Chen to Martial God Mountain."

"It is better to avoid unnecessary conflict."

"However, if Ye Chen refuses to cooperate, we will take him by force."

Han Zui’s gaze turned cold as he nodded. "Do not worry, Master. If he proves stubborn, I will ensure he is 'persuaded' through physical means!"

...

Meanwhile, on the Lingwu Continent.

Zhu Ya had been wandering aimlessly for three days.

Along her journey, she had indeed come across several monuments dedicated to Mister Ye.

However, she had yet to encounter a single living person.

She began to wonder if the Lingwu Continent was truly as magnificent as the legends suggested.

The only silver lining was that her wounds had significantly healed, thanks to the rich Spiritual Energy permeating the air of this realm.

"The pressure from the local laws here is suffocating; I couldn't even move quickly when I first arrived."

"At this rate, how long will it take to find my way?"

As Zhu Ya lost herself in thought, the low, guttural snarls of predators echoed through the air.

Following the fall of the Son of the Demon Emperor, a temporary peace had returned to both Lingwu and the Divine Kingdom, allowing wild beasts to roam freely once more.

These creatures lived by the law of the jungle, always seeking out the weak.

To them, Zhu Ya’s faint aura marked her as the perfect target!

Zhu Ya’s body stiffened as her instincts screamed of danger. She didn't hesitate, pouring every ounce of her strength into a desperate sprint!

But before she could even take a few steps, several dark forms blurred into view, blocking her path.

Spiritual Flame Tigers!

These creatures were infamous for their bloodlust and ferocity, usually haunting the borderlands between the Lingwu Continent and the Wilderness Land.

The massive tigers circled her, their eyes fixed on her as they bared their jagged teeth, inching closer with every breath.

Though terrified, Zhu Ya tried to keep her head. She knew her current Cultivation was no match for these beasts.

With the land so desolate, there was nowhere to hide.

The Spiritual Flame Tigers didn't give her time to think; they let out a collective roar and pounced!

It seemed certain she would be torn to pieces in a gruesome display of violence.

Zhu Ya squeezed her eyes shut, bracing for the end.

Yet, after a few moments, the expected pain never came.

Opening her eyes, she was stunned to see the Spiritual Flame Tigers lying dead on the ground.

Their bodies were marked by deep, clean sword gashes.

They had been slain in the blink of an eye.

From the shadows, several young practitioners dressed in matching robes approached her.

Their attire featured an emblem of two intersecting swords.

They belonged to the Jade Sword Sect, a second-rate power on the Lingwu Continent.

While the Jade Sword Sect was considered average today and kept a low profile due to its remote location, it had a storied past.

During the ancient era, it was a legendary Major Sect. Their founder was said to have fought alongside the Ancient God Emperor, wielding only a single blade.

This history gave the current disciples a lingering sense of superiority.

The disciples neared Zhu Ya, their brows furrowing when they sensed her pitifully low Cultivation.

Why would such a weak woman be wandering in this dangerous region?

Feeling as though she had been given a second life, Zhu Ya bowed deeply. "I am Zhu Ya. I cannot thank you enough for saving my life, seniors!"

"You call yourself Zhu Ya?" asked a man with a notably arrogant gaze.

This was Wang Jiuxu, a man of high status within the Jade Sword Sect and the leader of this scouting party.

He was accompanied by two men and one woman: Zhou Zhenxin, Jiang Lichun, and Liu Meihan.

The group had been out on a routine hunt to hone their skills when they stumbled upon her.

Despite their cold demeanor, Zhu Ya recognized them as powerful experts of the Lingwu Continent. Surely, they would know where to find Ye Chen.

Zhu Ya nodded politely. "I arrived here by accident. If not for your timely intervention, I would have certainly perished in the jaws of those beasts."

Liu Meihan surveyed Zhu Ya with a look of disdain and let out a cold laugh. "Hardly anyone travels through this area. How did you just 'appear'? Furthermore, the Jade Sword Sect is the only power for miles. Should I assume you have hidden designs on our sect?"

Zhu Ya shook her head frantically. "No, not at all! I come from the Kunlun Mountains. A teleportation array malfunctioned, and I ended up here by mistake. I’ve never even heard of the Jade Sword Sect until now, so why would I plot against it?"

As the sole woman in the group, Liu Meihan was used to being the center of attention. Seeing Zhu Ya’s beauty sparked an irrational jealousy in her. She snorted, "Your Cultivation is pathetic—you're a mere waste by Lingwu standards. A female wastrel like you would be the perfect spy to avoid suspicion, wouldn't she?"

Just as Liu Meihan was about to continue her interrogation, a sharp voice cut her off. "Enough!"

It was Wang Jiuxu.

Liu Meihan’s eyes flared with resentment, but she bit her lip and remained silent. She didn't dare cross him.

Wang Jiuxu scrutinized Zhu Ya before speaking again. "I believe your story."

"The aura you carry is foreign to Lingwu; it suggests you hail from another plane entirely."

"Given your weak Cultivation, you likely come from a low-tier or mid-tier martial world."

Wang Jiuxu spoke with an air of condescension, as if his very presence was a gift to someone of her standing.

"Zhu Ya, the Lingwu Continent is a brutal place. Although the Demon Suppression Hall has held off three invasions, the Demon Emperor himself has not yet appeared. The World Destructive Catastrophe is far from over."

"Coming here now was a foolish mistake."

"I suggest you seek protection within a sect."

"My Wang family has ties within the Divine Kingdom, and several of my kin have joined the Demon Suppression Hall."

"By the way, since you are new, you likely don't know of the Divine Kingdom. Though it exists within Lingwu, it is a realm that far surpasses it."

Zhu Ya frowned slightly, nodding as she tried to process the overwhelming information.
