Akane, now restored to her full power, considers easily defeating the Heavenly Demon. However, the Primordial Star of Creation warns that Celestial is far too dangerous and that Akane would be killed if she engaged him. Qingyi realizes he must reach the Celestial Emperor's Realm to recover the Flames of Primordial Chaos before challenging the Heavenly Demon. Later, Akane joins Qingyi and the other women for a pleasant barbecue with their daughter, Lingxi.

Naturally, for a ship so large—designed for long voyages—the Celestial Spear was equipped with countless onboard entertainment systems.

There were ballrooms, bars, movie theaters, and, essentially, an entire city inside it, built solely to entertain those on board.

For a ship that, on certain patrol missions, could spend years—sometimes decades or even centuries—in space, this was of the utmost importance.

And, of course, among so many recreational venues, there were also arenas for duels and training.

In one of these many arenas, surrounded by thousands of disciples scattered throughout the vast bleachers, stood Bai Hu Lie.

The mighty tiger—hundreds of kilograms of pure muscle and over three meters tall—stood shirtless, his broad chest rising and falling with heavy breaths.

His white fur was stained with blood. So were his sharp fangs, as well as his claws, which were still dripping onto the arena floor, each drop landing with a soft, wet tap.

He hadn't killed anyone, but he had already sent more than ten disciples to the infirmary.

"Come on, little human cowards, get up here and face me!" Bai Hu Lie roared, his feline eyes sweeping the crowd in search of someone brave enough.

The crowd erupted in cheers when a powerful genius, known as the Blue Spear Sovereign, stepped into the arena.

He was a young man with blue hair and eyes of the same color, pale skin, and elegant, noble features, walking with the calm of someone who already knew the outcome of the fight.

In the early stages of the Star Sovereign Realm, he was one of the most prominent figures in the Celestial Spear Sect—its future.

While his sect was not among the Nine Great Sects, its power could not be underestimated.

"You're quite arrogant, you beast… but I wonder if there's anything beyond arrogance and savagery lurking behind those rabid animal eyes," the young man said, stopping a few meters from the tiger.

"You know, mortals slaughter rabid animals… should I do the same to you?"

"Hahahaha!" Bai Hu Lie wasn't offended. Quite the contrary.

He threw his head back and let out a roar of laughter that echoed throughout the arena.

"You're funny, human. An idiot without a shred of self-preservation, but you're funny." Bai Hu Lie shook his head, still chuckling.

"Let's go," he said, glancing at the spear strapped to the Blue Spear Sovereign's back.

It was a beautiful weapon, to be sure, but it was still wrapped in cloth—far from ready for battle.

"Unwrap that sharp little stick… let's see if it stands a chance against my claws."

The Blue Spear Sovereign didn't fall for the taunt either.

Keeping a calm smile on his face, he simply held out his hand.

The strip of white cloth hiding the spear from the world burst into flames the very next instant, crumbling to ash before it ever touched the ground.

The spear shot from his back in an explosion of light, soaring into the air and immediately splitting into ten afterimages, which quickly solidified into physical blades.

Five hovered to the left of the Blue Spear Sovereign. Another five hovered to his right, every tip pointed at the tiger.

"Ah… it seems you really do want to die, hahaha!" Bai Hu Lie roared with laughter and then, without further hesitation, charged forward, his paws cracking the arena floor with every step.

He had thought this human boy would at least grab the spear with his own hands and fight him like a man.

Well, if he wanted to fight like a coward, so be it.

Soon, loud crashes filled the arena.

The spears came at him from every angle, whistling through the air, but Bai Hu Lie advanced relentlessly. His claws carved through the first one in a shower of sparks, then a second, the shriek of tearing metal mixing with the screams of the audience.

A blade grazed his shoulder, drawing a thin line of fresh blood through his white fur. He didn't even flinch, swatting it aside and shattering it against the floor.

It looked like a far more evenly matched fight than the previous ones, so the disciples in the stands watched with much greater attention, some even rising from their seats.

Xiaohu, meanwhile, always glued to Bai Hu Lie's side, was relaxing.

The fatty—now not quite so fat—sat in the stands with a gigantic bucket of roast chicken on his lap, licking his fingers with every bite.

Bai Hu Lie loved to train, and Xiaohu himself often suffered because of it, dragged along by the tiger, who had been given full permission by Xiaohu's adoptive father to train him.

Now, however, the tiger had other people to beat up in his place, so Xiaohu could finally do what he, the greatest coward to ever live, did best.

Eat while watching everything from a safe distance.

"I can see you're having fun." A voice that still haunted Xiaohu's nights sounded behind him.

The fatty shuddered and spun around, a piece of chicken still stuck between his teeth.

Behind him stood Qingyi, dressed in his usual black robes adorned with golden dragons.

Beside him stood Bai Yunxi, Bai Hu Lie's sister, her arms crossed.

Her eyes fell on the bucket of roast chicken in Xiaohu's lap.

She narrowed them for a moment, then simply looked away.

It looked good, but it was still rubbish compared to what Elize served her every day.

"Ah… Young Lord Qingyi, how nice to see you here!" Xiaohu jumped to his feet, completely forgetting the chicken wings on his lap.

The bucket tumbled forward. A disciple sitting just below him was showered with hot oil and chicken wings, the splatter landing on several others around him.

A flood of murderous intent rained down on Xiaohu, but when the disciples saw who was standing next to him, they didn't dare make a peep.

"It's good to see you, too… your cultivation base is strong," Qingyi said, turning his gaze toward Bai Hu Lie in the arena. "He probably wasn't even a little happy that the war ended without a single fight, right?"

"Well... 'not even a little happy' is putting it too kindly... he almost killed the captain of our forces when victory was declared while we were still marching, hahaha." Xiaohu laughed awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck as he looked toward the arena.
