Qingyi, in his gigantic dragon form, unleashed a devastating attack on the Central Demonic Fortress. Xiu Fang attempted to counter with a powerful strike, but his attack was easily overcome by Qingyi's flames, resulting in Xiu Fang's death and immense destruction within the fortress. The remaining demonic cultivators launched a massive counterattack, but Qingyi pressed forward, causing widespread casualties. Qingyi resolved to completely destroy the fortress and its inhabitants, viewing them as corrupt beings.

High above the planet where the war raged, two gigantic space platforms floated, each large enough to house entire planetary armies.

They could move freely around the planet, tracking every step of the war in real time.

Dozens of Celestial Emperors stood aboard each one, ready to engage in combat should anything get out of control.

And at this very moment, both platforms hovered above the demonic fortress, everyone aboard watching in silence as the flames engulfed the planet.

Even from that height, one could see the purple glow spreading across the continent like a living stain, devouring everything in its path.

Its light was bright enough to paint the silent faces aboard the platforms a faint violet.

"Lord Tianjin, ten percent of the planet's surface has been set ablaze, and eighty percent of the demonic forces have already been exterminated, including their entire leadership."

A powerful voice rang out beside Tianjin, who nodded slightly, his eyes still fixed on the destruction below.

He let out a casual laugh, shaking his head as if he couldn't quite believe what he was seeing.

"Declare our victory and end the war. There's nothing left to see here." Tianjin rose from his seat, stretching with all the calm in the world.

The many Celestial Emperors around him nodded, one after another.

Honestly, none of them could hide their shock.

There had been six wars among the younger generations since the Celestial Heaven was divided between the Orthodox and Demonic worlds.

The shortest had lasted twenty years. The longest, three hundred.

This one hadn't even lasted half a day.

Wasn't that a bit too absurd?

Some exchanged heavy glances. They could only imagine the fury of the demonic leadership, and with good reason.

In the end, they would be the ones who'd have to deal with it and keep a full-scale war from erupting.

The demons would never accept losing so many geniuses in such a humiliating defeat without trying to strike back.

While the Orthodox leaders began making their moves, the Heavenly Demon remained seated on his throne aboard the demonic platform.

He was calm. No…

He was happy. His lips curved into a smile, and his eyes sparkled with pure excitement.

It seemed like the best day of his life.

"Brother, should I deal with these pigs?" asked the Second Demon Lord, the Heavenly Demon's brother.

He sat on another throne right beside his brother's, watching with disdain as the many Celestial Emperors of the demonic race hurled insults at one another at the top of their lungs.

The air in the hall was heavy, laden with rage and humiliation. The shouting bounced off the walls and came back as one dull, ugly roar.

Some of those insults were aimed at the Heavenly Demon himself, and more than a few demons didn't even bother to hide the murderous intent they turned on the two brothers.

The Heavenly Demon paid no heed, rising from his throne without haste.

With a gesture, he motioned for his brother to stay seated and began descending the obsidian steps, one by one, his slow footsteps echoing amid the shouts.

A demonic Celestial Emperor broke from the crowd and charged at him, his face flushed red with rage, murderous intent pouring off his body in waves.

The floor cracked beneath his feet with every stride, and the air shrieked as he tore through it.

It was the Fifty-Seventh Demon Lord, one of the ten strongest among the seventy-two.

Even so, a simple wave of the Heavenly Demon's hand was enough to make him vanish.

A sea of blue and black flames swallowed him mid-stride, and a putrid stench flooded the hall.

He let out a short, pitiful scream. In the next instant, nothing remained of him but a handful of dust scattering across the floor.

Everyone fell silent.

A slight wave of the hand, and a Celestial Emperor was dead.

The demons who had been screaming a moment ago now stood as stiff as statues. On his throne, the Second Demon Lord merely clicked his tongue, looking almost disappointed.

"That was a great battle." The Heavenly Demon smiled, his gaze sweeping across the hall. "If none of you have any further questions, I'll be leaving now. Otherwise, I might as well get rid of you too."

Receiving only silence in response, he nodded, satisfied, and clapped his hands.

"Very well. The war is over. Gather the surviving geniuses; I still have a few things to do."

With a snap of his fingers, the Heavenly Demon vanished, leaving behind only the smell of burnt flesh and a hall full of demons who didn't dare even breathe loudly.

Down below, confusion reigned among the Orthodox cultivators.

They had barely set out from the central fortress on a large-scale offensive against the demons when messages began pouring in, ordering them to halt their advance.

Rank after rank of cultivators slowed to a stop mid-march, weapons still drawn.

Right after came new orders: return to the fortress and celebrate the victory.

That only left everyone even more confused.

What did they mean by 'victory'?

How on earth could they have won if they hadn't even gotten to fight?

Of course, everyone had felt the terrifying pressure that had gripped the other side of the planet.

But the idea that Qingyi could single-handedly win a battle of one against forty million simply didn't register in anyone's mind.

Only those who knew the true power of a pure-blooded dragon were already celebrating on Qingyi's behalf, the beast people above all.

Even they were divided, though. Some were overjoyed by the victory; others sulked because they hadn't gotten to fight.

Still, none of them doubted Qingyi's power.

Shouts of celebration and laughter were already echoing among them, while the rest of the cultivators just looked at one another, completely baffled.

Of course, Qingyi himself still had no idea what was happening.

He stood in a sea of destruction and ruin, where the air burned so hot it could turn into plasma at any moment.

There was nothing for hundreds of kilometers—perhaps thousands.

Only black, scorched earth, split open by the heat, a dull red glow still pulsing in the deepest cracks. The stench of ash and molten stone hung over everything.

Trees, concrete, every living thing around him—all of it was gone.

Not even the bacteria had survived.

His gigantic body towered amid the flames that still burned, his scales throwing the firelight back in shifting shades of orange and red.

He let out a final roar, and the sound wave swept across the entire plain, snuffing out even the last of the flames. Loose ash lifted off the ground in a great gray sheet, hung in the air for a moment, then settled again.

Then he sighed.

Shortly afterward, he felt drops of water falling from the sky—a sky that had been clear moments ago but had now closed over with heavy storm clouds.

The first drops turned to steam before they even touched the ground, rising in dense white clouds that blanketed everything around him. The ones that followed hissed against the scorched earth like water on a hot pan.

But little by little, the sheer volume of Qi-rich water began to draw the heat out of the land.

Qingyi returned to his human form. He clasped his hands behind his back and relaxed his shoulders, steam curling off his skin and rising all around him.

Then he turned his face to the side, slowly, his eyes narrowing slightly.

"Are you just going to stare at me like some weirdo, or are you going to show yourself, you pig? Come on, I don't have all day."
