The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System Chapter 862 - Daddy's most precious little pearl
Previously on The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System...
In the days that followed, the Celestial Orthodox Martial Alliance was abuzz with activity.
The birth of a Child of Destiny drew the attention of every power in the central region, and the news spread like wildfire.
Qingyi found himself inundated with gifts from all corners, accepting each one with a warm smile before tossing them into his spatial ring.
Of course, he wasn't unhappy about it.
In just one week, he had accumulated the equivalent of about three hundred thousand Lust Points' worth of gifts, should he ever decide to purchase everything through the system.
A decent sum, no doubt. But at the moment, his focus lay elsewhere.
The crystal-clear laughter of a one-week-old baby echoed through the skies as Qingyi sliced through the air.
Clinging tightly to her father's horns, little Lingxi rode him as if he were a wild dragon she herself had tamed.
Of course, he was in his human form. His draconic form would be far too large for such a tiny child, but that didn't seem to bother her in the least.
Held secure on her father's back by a gentle flow of Qi, she laughed without pause.
Her black hair, soft as strands of silk, danced to the rhythm of the air current that Qingyi carefully controlled—strong enough to ruffle it, yet gentle enough to merely caress her chubby cheeks.
She babbled something incomprehensible, kicking her chubby little legs against the sides of her father's neck.
She still couldn't form words, despite being extremely advanced for a baby her age, but Qingyi understood perfectly what she was asking for.
Faster.
And so he did.
His body broke the sound barrier with a thunderous roar, the air splitting around him as he soared through the sea of clouds that stretched out below like an immense golden carpet, painted by the last strokes of the setting sun on the horizon.
He let out a contented sigh, spinning through the air in a slow pirouette before cradling her against his chest, admiring his daughter's chubby, radiant little face.
She turned her head, her curious eyes capturing the orange glow of the sun melting away in the distance.
Qingyi followed her gaze, silently contemplating the same spectacle.
He had always been a happy man.
He had always had extraordinary women by his side—worthy wives overflowing with love.
But it was only after little Lingxi's birth that he truly understood: for a man to be fully happy, it took much more than beautiful women and fine wine.
His heart had never felt so light, and his cheeks had never ached this much from smiling.
"Ah… dada…" Long Lingxi leaned forward, wrapping her short, chubby little arms around her father's neck.
He gently supported her tiny back with his open palm.
"Are you sleepy? Do you want to go to Mommy?" Qingyi asked in a tender whisper.
The little girl lifted her face and then closed her big, round purple eyes, nodding with a yawn.
Qingyi broke into a radiant smile.
He was always amazed by his own daughter's intelligence.
Although she was only a week old, she seemed to possess the cleverness of a two- or three-year-old.
She was even capable of taking her first steps, which, honestly, surprised no one.
After all, she had inherited her father's lineage and physique. In terms of raw strength, she was on par with any mortal adult—in fact, she was far stronger.
If she were on Earth, she'd probably be able to knock out Mike Tyson—one of the greatest fighters Qingyi could still remember from his past life—with a single little punch from those chubby hands.
Her soft, baby-like skin was tough enough to withstand shots from high-caliber weapons, and her bones could support the weight of a truck.
It was strange to think that such a tiny, delicate little thing contained such immense power, but Qingyi didn't dwell on the thought for long.
She was his daughter. How could she be weak?
He was just looking forward to the day when she would awaken her cultivation and grow old enough to train with swords by his side—or whatever weapon she decided to wield.
Enveloping Lingxi in a gentle embrace, Qingyi flew back toward the temple, slipping into a spatial fold and reappearing just above the rooftops of the complex.
Lingxi couldn't help herself, bursting into a cheerful laugh as soon as the strange sensation of teleportation coursed through her little body, the world changing around her in the blink of an eye.
She loved it when her dad did that.
She looked up at him, her chubby little hand reaching out to grab his cheek and tug gently, as if begging for one more time.
Qingyi let out an amused sigh, teleporting again—this time down to the courtyard floor—eliciting another shrill burst of laughter from his daughter.
"You silly little thing," Qingyi laughed along with her, rubbing his own face against hers in an affectionate gesture.
"You're Daddy's most precious little pearl, you know?" he murmured, carefully smoothing out her long, comfortable little dress, sewn by Meilin's own hands.
Lingxi just kept laughing, nestling comfortably in the warmth of her father's embrace.
Qingyi sighed and carried her to the kitchen, where Elize and Rouxi were busy preparing dinner, the aroma of spices and fresh herbs lingering in the warm air.
The moment she saw her mother, Lingxi let out a little squeal of pure excitement, but it was toward Elize that she stretched out her eager little arms.
Her large purple eyes fixed on the mature beauty's full, heavy breasts, brimming with the sweet nectar the little glutton so craved.
Rouxi merely smiled with a hint of bitterness.
It was a little painful to see her own daughter prefer another woman's milk over her own, but she quickly pushed the feeling aside.
Among Qingyi's many wives, a strong bond of sisterhood reigned, and she was content to know that her daughter was well-fed and healthy.
Besides… she herself had already tasted a bit of Elize's milk a few weeks ago.
It was… well… divine. As delicious as any dish prepared by Elize's skilled hands.
She understood her daughter's preference perfectly.
