The Divine Blacksmith, burdened by past tragedy, confronts guards who are anxious about his presence. He learns that the Council of Elders is involved in a grave matter. He is accompanied by Qingyi and a golden guard, and they are met by Rou'er and Qianyao. Upon entering the elders' meeting hall, the Divine Blacksmith overhears a heated debate about a declaration of war.

[Tomorrow I'll fix my posting schedule—I already have enough chapters saved up for that. Sorry about that; I'll do my best to make sure it doesn't happen again. I hope you will all be here when I fail miserably!]

The Heavenly Demon had announced that he was finally ready to resurrect the Divine Sword Fairy.

Of course, that alone wouldn't have been a major problem.

It would spark a fierce diplomatic dispute, and there would be attempts to wrest the Divine Sword Fairy from his grasp at any cost.

The real problem was that he had also announced his marriage to her. And, to top it all off, he declared that he intended to take her in a public ceremony immediately following her resurrection.

In other words, he had announced that he would publicly rape the most respected woman in the entire Celestial Orthodox Martial Alliance, and shamelessly invited them all to watch.

He hadn't made that announcement in the heat of battle, with blood still boiling in his veins, nor in the middle of a heated exchange of words. No. He had used an official channel meant for diplomatic talks between the two sides.

A channel reserved exclusively for peaceful discussions—and that was precisely how he had used it.

What was the difference between what he had done and simply trampling on the face of the Celestial Orthodox Martial Alliance?

No...

It was far worse than that.

Killing a protected disciple of the Alliance was trampling on their face. Publicly raping the Divine Sword Fairy, before the eyes of the whole world, was something else entirely.

It was a declaration of war.

Even the elders of the most pacifist faction fell silent in the face of it.

Of course, that heavy silence lasted only until the Divine Blacksmith exploded.

Fifty Celestial Emperors moved as one, their bodies blurring across the hall as their auras surged upward, forming walls of pressure around the enraged figure.

For a being with the Divine Blacksmith's ancestral cultivation to explode there in full would have been nothing short of catastrophic.

With tremendous effort, they managed to contain his aura. But the scream of hatred that tore free from his throat sliced through the air like a jagged blade, echoing through every corner of the hall.

For an instant, the entire Celestial Orthodox Martial Alliance was plunged into absolute silence.

Even Qingyi's eyes widened.

Never in his entire life had he sensed such intense murderous intent.

For nearly two hours, a terrifying clash of auras dominated the hall.

The walls trembled under the pressure. The floor vibrated with every wave of power released. The very air grew so thick it was difficult to draw a full breath.

Only when Tianjin managed to strike a specific meridian on the Divine Blacksmith's neck, putting him to sleep, did sighs of relief begin to ripple through the many Celestial Emperors present.

Honestly, in terms of raw power, Tianjin himself was far stronger than the Divine Blacksmith.

Incapacitating him under normal circumstances wouldn't have been difficult. The problem was that they had to do so without leveling the palace around them.

Because of that, they had to neutralize his aura first, and only then put him to sleep.

After all, the raw pressure from a single Celestial Emperor's punch was enough to collapse a star into a black hole.

An explosion of his aura inside there would have been an indescribable catastrophe.

"Ah… everything went well…" Tianjin sighed in relief, cold sweat trickling down his forehead.

Most likely, the response to that provocation would be a war on a massive scale.

It was crucial that the Divine Blacksmith be kept asleep until that war broke out.

When he finally awoke, they would unleash him upon the demons and let him bathe in their blood.

"Is the situation really that serious?" Qingyi asked.

"If we go to war with the demons now, I'm ninety percent certain we'll lose…" Tianjin replied, the exhaustion clear in his voice as he motioned for the other elders to continue the meeting without him.

"It's been over one hundred and fifty thousand years since Long Wujin died, but we still haven't fully recovered from the damage of the corruption war. Unlike the demons, who suffered far less."

Walking alongside Qingyi, he made his way out of the hall.

His steps were heavy, and so were his eyes.

"We need at least another fifty thousand years to recover, but do you really think those elders are willing to wait that long? No… not even I am willing to wait that long. Not as long as that pig has the Divine Sword Fairy in his hands."

"Billions will die."

"More." Tianjin shook his head.

"Five hundred to six hundred billion, in just the first few months alone. The demons are already prepared to wipe out all our border territories the moment the conflict begins."

Tianjin turned his head, nodding to Rou'er and Qianyao before joining them on the bench.

Qingyi sat down beside him.

"How soon do you plan to formally initiate the conflict?" Qingyi asked.

After seeing the fury in all those elders—even the pacifists—and observing Tianjin's own expression, so heavy with restrained rage, he knew war was inevitable.

"I plan to send an advance team to attempt to recover the body of the Divine Sword Fairy in seven months. If it succeeds, we'll simply focus on holding our positions."

"If it fails, all-out war must begin the following week. I'll start moving the troops right away."

Qingyi nodded, his expression somber.

"Six months…" he said. "Do you think you can give me six months?"

"Huh? For what?"

"If you register me as a disciple of the Celestial Orthodox Martial Alliance and grant me access to the Alliance's vaults, in six months, I guarantee I'll be able to enter the Heavenly Demon's castle and come out with the Divine Sword Fairy."

"Ahahaha…" Tianjin laughed bitterly. "If it were anyone else…" He stood up. "I'd think it was a joke. But I know you."

Slowly, his eyes fell upon Rou'er.

"When your father passed away, he left behind his private vaults, which have remained untouched to this day. I've kept them safe in case you ever returned… Would you like to open them now, young Miss Rou'er?"
