Qingyi and Tianjin arrive at the massive Celestial Orthodox Martial Alliance Academy. Tianjin recounts how he personally trained a peasant girl who rose to become the master of the Sword Palace, and who was once friends with his daughter Qianyao. Qingyi then reveals to Tianjin that the Primordial Demon Empress has been resurrected and has contacted him, requesting Tianjin's protection for her as she is Qingyi's destined wife and is still regaining her strength.

Qingyi and Tianjin burst out laughing together.

Even Qianyao and Rou'er let out stifled giggles, hiding their smiles behind their delicate hands.

Well, indeed.

Many in Qingyi's harem liked to compare him to a magnet for incomparable pussies.

He had restrained himself somewhat in recent months, especially with Rouxi's pregnancy, but the fact remained undeniable: he attracted women nonstop.

"Ah… anyway, if her identity is discovered, I guarantee I'll protect her with everything I have," Tianjin said, shaking his head slowly. "Her return to her former power and taking over the rule of the demons is our best chance to one day achieve true peace."

That, however, was a distant dream.

There would always be wars, always disputes over territory. That was natural, and when all was said and done, it wasn't even such a bad thing.

It kept the blood boiling and ensured that the great sects did not succumb to complacency, laziness, and corruption—the very things that usually eroded the powerful.

The real problem, however, was that the conflict with the demons went far beyond that.

It was a war of mass extermination, not a simple dispute between cultivators over resources.

There had been phases of the war in which the demons wielded weapons created solely to turn entire regions of space into graveyards, erasing even the Qi from those areas.

For now, both sides held to a tenuous truce, but Tianjin knew full well it wouldn't last long.

To achieve true peace, they would need someone like the Primordial Demon Empress.

Only by returning to the original demonic path could the demonic people be saved, and peace finally achieved.

Tianjin's already smiling face lit up even further at that thought.

After walking for a few more minutes, they finally reached the palace gates, already wide open, awaiting them.

Lower-level golden guards greeted them at once, clearing a path and bowing in deep respect.

"Where is the Divine Blacksmith?" Qingyi asked right away. "Ruxue would like to see him again."

"His forge lies just below the palace. If you'd like to go there, I can send a guard to accompany you. I want to take Qianyao and Rou'er to reunite with their childhood friends. Many people would love to see them again after so long," Tianjin said, a faint touch of melancholy crossing his face.

"Thank you very much, father-in-law." Qingyi bowed respectfully.

As for the two women's safety in his absence, Qingyi didn't worry for even a moment.

After all, Tianjin was the most powerful and respected expert of that era.

There was no place in that world safer than by his side.

"Just be careful of the ten candidates for heir to the Sword Pavilion. They are all disciples of elders who do not approve of your presence here. They will cause trouble."

"What is their cultivation realm?" Qingyi asked, a hint of curiosity in his voice.

"They are all Star Sovereigns."

Qingyi smiled slightly and extended his hand to his father-in-law.

Tianjin accepted the handshake with a puzzled look, not quite understanding the gesture at first.

In the next instant, however, he felt Qingyi's power.

The air around their hands began to boil, warping as if it had come into contact with an invisible furnace. Ripples of pressure spread outward from their joined palms, distorting the space around them.

That power was insignificant to Tianjin, of course, but it still matched, at the very least, that of a peak Star Sovereign.

"I already possess Long Wujin's complete bloodline, as well as many other powers. I'm stronger than he was in my current realm, so you don't need to worry."

"Hahahahaha, traversing an entire greater realm even in the Celestial Heaven… You truly are an aberration." Tianjin shook his head, a smile escaping his lips. "The Wujin I knew would be proud to have such a strong heir."

He didn't admit it aloud, but his own heart was also filled with pride at that moment.

With a brief wave, Tianjin ordered one of his guards to escort Qingyi to the Divine Forge of the Celestial Orthodox Martial Alliance.

He then followed the girls to introduce them to old acquaintances—people they probably didn't even remember anymore, but who regarded both of them as extremely important figures in their lives.

After planting a lingering kiss on each of their lips, savoring the softness for a moment longer than needed, Qingyi watched them leave with his father-in-law.

Only then, accompanied by the assigned guard, did he head toward the Divine Forge.

Naturally, a divine forge required absurdly intense heat to function.

Because of this, it had been built deep beneath the central palace, with direct access to the magical vein that supplied the entire Martial Alliance fortress.

A considerable portion of that energy was diverted to fuel one of the hottest flames in all of the Celestial Heaven—powerful enough to melt even the most resistant metals in that realm.

Qingyi walked on in silence, watching the walls gradually shift from a pure, immaculate white to a soot-stained black, as though they hadn't been cleaned in years.

To his surprise, the only preserved sections of the wall were precisely those bearing drawings and writings made with colored chalk—clumsy strokes, unable to reach very high, obviously made by small hands.

"These drawings are by the Divine Blacksmith Lord's daughter. Once, an arrogant disciple erased one of them, declaring that no wall of the glorious Martial Alliance should be defiled by such ugly things."

The guard's voice echoed softly beside Qingyi, carrying a faintly somber tone.

"I suppose he didn't live much longer after that."

"No." The golden guard shook his head with a quiet chuckle, his voice carrying as much respect as it did obvious curiosity toward Qingyi.

As a Celestial Emperor, he could easily perceive Qingyi's Qi.

He had expected to find a corrupted and putrid Qi, befitting the heir of the Dragon God of Corruption.

Instead, Qingyi's Qi was pure, at a level the guard had never sensed before in his entire existence.

"It was the first time the Divine Blacksmith had left his post since the death of his own daughter."

Qingyi nodded, growing even more curious to discover who this Divine Blacksmith truly was.
