Zhentian led Qingyi and other disciples aboard his Dragon's Fang ship for a mission to wipe out the Gray Claw Banner pirates plaguing the system. During the journey, he warned Qingyi of Guo Tianhao's dangerous obsession with the sect leader's daughter and revealed his hope that Qingyi might know of his great-grandfather's fate from the Immortal Heaven. Bonding as friends through casual talks, they approached the pirates' asteroid hideout under heavy cannon fire.

The Gray Claw banner pirates emerged as a fresh band, yet their brutal fame and vicious deeds proliferated at an astonishing pace.

This notoriety stemmed chiefly from a single truth: their commanders were mostly treacherous sect disciples, cast out for their heinous offenses.

Sects rarely focused on particular pirate bands, issuing blanket commands to eradicate any encountered, keeping directives wide-ranging.

However, the Gray Claw Banner demanded targeted measures, given their status as outright betrayers.

The outlaws, of course, anticipated this and prepared accordingly.

Permanence in that spot wasn't required of them.

Repelling the initial assault wouldn't suffice, as the sect would dispatch mightier forces next—a lone core disciple could annihilate them in moments.

Survival meant enduring briefly, beating back several assaults, and continuing their raids.

Gathering spoils to enrich every member beyond dreams would allow escape, a fresh start distant from the turmoil.

Regrettably, bandit nature doomed them.

What sum could truly sate the avarice burning in their souls?

No clear answer existed, though merchant vessels offered far too little to satisfy.

Spotting the Dragon's Fang spaceship, the bandits

swiftly assumed battle stances encircling their stronghold, mighty Qi cannons locked onto the incoming craft.

The opening barrage struck true, shields flaring up precisely in

time to avert destruction.

Chaos erupted within as disciples mustered hastily.

"Prepare yourselves! The traitor's mine; slaughter every pirate scum you spot and stay alive." Zhentian spearheaded the charge, his oppressive aura unfurling while his fists shimmered like liquid gold.

That aura swiftly cloaked the vessel entirely, shielding it during descent onto the pirate bastion.

Ere landing fully, the primary hatch swung wide, exposing their encirclement: five or six thousand fighters, excluding fortress dwellers.

Most lingered in astral body realm, hundreds reaching astral blood realm.

Confidence and lethal resolve gleamed in their gazes, poised to butcher those haughty young sectlings.

Prior kills against Cosmic Dawn Sect disciples bolstered their arrogance.

Alas, such bravado endured merely until the divine fist escaped the dragon's hold, smashing into the closest pirate cluster.

A colossal blast devoured the scene.

The asteroid quaked violently, scores of lives harvested by one strike, Zhentian's golden Qi fanning in a V-formation to maim hundreds further.

From his rear, his lineage manifestation arose, crashing down on the foes with dreadfully immense pressure.

'Far superior to my bloodline now...' Qingyi mused inwardly, trailing closely after Zhentian.

Fundamentally equal in might perhaps, yet vastly superior in quality. Zhentian's lineage lagged at least a tier behind Tianhao's, a towering peak yet for Qingyi to ascend.

A wry grin crossed Qingyi's face as he unsheathed the Heaven-Defying Thunder Sword.

"Die, you bastard!" A fourth-stage Astral Blood Realm bandit charged Qingyi, his blade ripping the air amid scarlet aura.

'Deviant methods...' Qingyi parried at once, teeth clenched against the violent shock rippling his limbs.

No chance for dominance in that clash. Back in Ancestral Emperor Realm, Astral Body Realm foes fell effortlessly.

Currently, bearing Celestial Heaven's basest lineage, fourth-stage Astral Blood Realm marked his ceiling.

Such prowess owed solely to the Corruption Dragon God lineage and Primordial Dragon physique outstripping their realms inherently.

Standard bloodline and build would render him unremarkable even in his tier.

With a frustrated snarl, Qingyi repelled the assailant, leveraging his supreme edge against peers: his gaze.

Pupils whirled hypnotically, radiating profound violet splendor, time decelerating sharply nearby.

The bandit sensed the shift yet fixated on severing Qingyi's neck, oblivious to peril.

His sword cleaved air toward the youth's throat, sadistic glee blooming as he foresaw Qingyi's futile block.

That smirk vanished in an instant.

As steel neared collision, Heaven-Defying Thunder Sword twisted unpredictably, Qingyi's head dodging decapitation by scant inches.

"Shit!" Terror flooded the pirate's eyes at his blunder, ferocious blazing Qi engulfing his form.

No opportunity to erect defenses arose. Heaven-Defying Thunder Sword plunged into his torso, impaling

his heart, Qingyi's lightning Qi surging through meridians, ravaging all.

Moments later, the scorched corpse crumpled, Qingyi exhaling in relief.

Not a soul fragment survived the lightning Qi's utter demolition of the

pirate's frame.

Steadying his breath, Qingyi resolved to target the frailest foes initially, deploying draconic eyes to shred guards and slay maximally with utmost speed.

Everywhere, fierce melees ignited, the trio of inner disciples felling dozens per blow as outer disciples resisted valiantly.

'Hm... not too shabby!' Qingyi grinned, diving amid carnage, drenching the sky-defying thunder sword in gore, loosing ultimate arts mercilessly.

Plenty of astral body realm masters lurked among pirates, ideal quarry for Qingyi.
