Scarlet had put forth all her surveillance on me a long time ago. I fooled them with the artefacts in my hand, and later towards when I reached the level I am in right now, it only became easier to twist them how I feel. It’s more useful in the fact due to me being able to dictate what Scarlet will be able to see and understand.

The same with Celestinia: if I showed them what I want, it became easier to use them, but they come with their own risks of keeping them open all the time, like this. There might be a moment where they want to act, and the data showing me off at one place would have resulted in me having to change my plans or adapt to the girls’ reactions—which isn’t something I am looking forward to, not when now I will have to be even more serious on how I deal with this fuck-up that took place.

If I let go of this ’protection’ they kept over me, then it will result in my ability to significantly control the narrative of the Dragon girls. But if I don’t—seeing how the girls are starting to enact their own plans—it might all come crashing down on me in the end, which might result in me losing their trust or perhaps even something worse.

I thought as I felt my mind cool down. What Celestinia did was indeed place protection spells and gifts all over me, but it also comes with a heavy surveillance that lets her know more about me than I like to let on, which is harmful to me in many ways. Plus, even now, my sense is picking up on not just the changes around in the area but also all around, and just as I was about to relax a bit, I felt the connection call from someone.

I felt my head throb at those words. The target in question itself is Leonardo—right now, he and his team are on the outside dealing with some mission that, funnily enough, I had sent him on, and now he ends up falling into a historic world which might in a sense be something I have no idea about, which annoys me more than I like to admit.

My eyes narrowed at the thought. It wasn’t just the fact that my luck took a hit; it was also the fact that the great luck of these so-called protagonists is starting to shine and trying to kick my ass, too. My head was throbbing again as I took in all the information.

With those replies, I cut off the connection, my eyes gaining a dangerous mix of hue, running deep red and blue as I forced myself to calm down. My mind runs through the different ideas in my mind, my senses picking up the changes in the girls—all of it, which will come back to cause issues for me if I don’t deal with it.

Musing on it, I closed my eyes as I leaned into the sofa, my mind relaxing away as I started to connect the several dots around me. The problems, issues, and everything slowly burning itself as different pathways to action formed in my mind—different actions that will help me to survive through all this and perhaps even dominate it.

I smirked internally at those words. A position needs to be given to me in this story, and they are all confused about what position it should be. Am I the hero who will save the world? Or am I the villain, selfish enough just for me?

Truthfully, the role of villain suits me more, but the fate of the villain always ends up being defeated by the Heroes—that’s how the fate works, which would mean it won’t work on me. Being given ’fate’ isn’t so simple; it comes with its own chains and conditions, and as a God-level being myself, no fate can simply hold me.

My situation will reject them all. As a being of power, I have the right to deny and access the fate given to me. I haven’t yet, in simpler terms, of the being entering true Godhood and flying outside the perspective of fate, and as a being living within the ’story’ of the olds and mortals, a fate needs to be given to me, but it should also be worthy of me.

I laughed at that thought. The title of my fate would be given to me, but in no way will it be able to define what kind of life and actions I can take, because I have already taken a step outside of that level of power this dimension can bestow upon me. Basically, I am at a level where it can’t affect me, because the fate of this dimension doesn’t have the authority to place it on me, as I stand above her.

[Fate is literally ripping her hair off in frustration. Right now, she just wants to hail a thunder of lightnings at you to fry you away. Her workload has just tripled in several ways just due to you; if not for the other Goddesses, she would have come down to beat you up till you can’t even feel fate.]

I can already see it: Orpheus holding back Fate from just running up to me and kicking me till kingdom come.
