The City’s Strongest Son-in-law Chapter 1487 - 1486: Ran Away from Home
Previously on The City’s Strongest Son-in-law...
At this moment, Gao Yuan was wearing soft and comfortable silk pajamas, her graceful figure on full display, but Su Changfeng didn’t even look at her, instead saying directly, "After all, I saved you. I really don’t have a place to stay now; is it really unreasonable for you to let me stay another night?"
"Of course you can." Gao Yuan agreed straightforwardly. To a teenager like him, she indeed didn’t have much defensiveness.
After Su Changfeng walked in, Gao Yuan casually closed the door and said to him, "Hey, handsome guy, did you have a fight with your family, so you ran away from home?"
To a certain extent, leaving the Ye Family did count as running away from home for Su Changfeng, although the actual situation wasn’t that simple.
After all, if it were someone else, the elders in the family would probably be anxious to come out and find them, but his family wouldn’t come to find him at all.
"I’m just staying one night. If it’s inconvenient, then I won’t bother you." Su Changfeng said.
Gao Yuan glared at Su Changfeng in mild annoyance. After all, Su Changfeng had helped her.
"Look at you, young in years but a temper to match. I was just casually asking," Gao Yuan said somewhat helplessly.
"You better go to sleep, don’t mind me." With that, Su Changfeng lay back down in the position he had been sleeping before.
Since Gao Yuan had been woken up by Su Changfeng, she couldn’t fall asleep right away and simply sat beside him, quite close.
"Hey, handsome guy, we’re acquainted now, shouldn’t you tell your name to this big sister?" Gao Yuan asked.
"Su Changfeng."
"Su Changfeng, sounds nice. Are you really going to sleep on the sofa? This place is too small; it must be uncomfortable. If you want, why not sleep inside the room with this sister?" Gao Yuan said.
Su Changfeng’s body suddenly stiffened, and then he spoke somewhat helplessly, "Big sister, you do know I’m a minor, right? What you’re suggesting is illegal."
Gao Yuan couldn’t help but giggle upon hearing this. She was only teasing him on a whim and hadn’t expected such a serious response from Su Changfeng.
Seeing Su Changfeng with his eyes closed, ignoring her, Gao Yuan’s mischievous side was piqued again. In her eyes, Su Changfeng was not only a child but also an interesting young fellow.
When Gao Yuan reached out and placed her hand on Su Changfeng’s leg, his body grew even tenser.
"Little brother, what’s going on? Relax, this sister won’t eat you up," Gao Yuan chuckled charmingly, seeming especially alluring in the night.
Su Changfeng wasn’t actually a minor. Even if in others’ eyes, he was just a clueless kid, he was mature in every respect besides this body and had seen all sorts of situations as a man.
Previous experiences told him that facing such situations, it might backfire to run away wholly; the more he resisted, the more it might pique Gao Yuan’s interest. Once she sees this as a game, he would lose control entirely, potentially becoming a playful pet for her.
Thus, Su Changfeng suddenly sat up, held Gao Yuan’s hand, and said, "Alright, let’s go then."
Gao Yuan appeared caught off guard when he said such a thing—what did he mean by let’s go? Was he telling her to leave? She was momentarily at a loss.
"Go where?"
"Didn’t you just say to let me sleep in your room?" Su Changfeng replied calmly.
Gao Yuan finally snapped back to reality, shaking off Su Changfeng’s hand and glaring at him crossly, "A little kid like you, always thinking about ridiculous things; at such a young age, is being so lewd too much?"
Su Changfeng sighed inwardly; what had he done to deserve being called lewd?
It’s worth noting he’d never looked at Gao Yuan, and it was she who initiated the interaction. Su Changfeng merely responded, yet now, he was slapped with such an accusation.
No wonder people say women are strange creatures. He was now finally experiencing it firsthand.
"I’m going to rest in my room now. You better be honest, or I absolutely won’t let you off." Gao Yuan said bluntly, then hastily returned to her room. Su Changfeng clearly heard the door lock, as if she really worried he would do something to her.
Without Gao Yuan’s disturbance, Su Changfeng could finally rest well. From this, you could see that dealing with women required different methods.
He slept straight until the next day, and Wei Guanglin called him early in the morning. Su Changfeng had expected this, so he wasn’t surprised.
By this time, Wei Guanglin must’ve found out from Wei Chengyu all that had happened before; he was probably curious why he’d let Brother Shan go.
"I want to see you. Is now convenient for you?" Wei Guanglin asked him. If it were anyone else, Wei Guanglin certainly wouldn’t be so polite; he’d choose a direct approach instead.
However, the person before him was Su Changfeng, so Wei Guanglin’s attitude was much better. No matter how useless Su Changfeng seemed to others, knowing his skills firsthand, he naturally didn’t believe Su Changfeng was a weakling.
If he were indeed useless, how could he single-handedly deal with so many of Brother Shan’s men?
"I’m available now," Su Changfeng replied.
"Great, I’ll wait for you here then."
Putting down the phone, Su Changfeng quickly tidied himself up, deciding to head out.
As he opened the door, Gao Yuan’s voice came from not far away.
Just as he opened the door, he heard Gao Yuan’s voice.
"Little guy, what you’re doing now is too much. After all, I’ve sheltered you for so long, and you don’t even say thank you, much less, you’re leaving without a word. You’re quite the little scoundrel, aren’t you?" Gao Yuan said to Su Changfeng, with a tone of dissatisfaction.
"Rest assured, this is the last time. I won’t come uninvited again. I’ve got some business to attend to now, so you take care." With that, Su Changfeng pushed the door and left. As for the connection between him and Gao Yuan—it was purely accidental, so it was best for their relationship to end here. This was merely a brief episode between them.
Watching Su Changfeng’s departing figure, somehow, Gao Yuan felt a hint of loss. She’s lived alone for years, so normally, she should be unaccustomed to a man suddenly appearing in her house. But the result was entirely different than she expected, so much so that upon hearing this was the last time from Su Changfeng, she felt a trace of regret.
