You Meng reveals her past, including her rise to power after Yan Feng's death and the numerous people she killed. She admits her motivation for returning to the Sourceless Forest was the Fate Fruit, which she failed to obtain and was injured trying. Su Changfeng refuses to give her a Fate Fruit, despite the threat of the Silver Flood Dragon, but You Meng hints at having valuable information.

"Alright, why don’t you say it?" Su Changfeng said.

"I heard that your disciple came to Chenguang Hall, seemingly for something important, possibly related to the Changfeng Sect. However, he broke the rules of Chenguang Hall and is now in the prison," You Meng said.

Disciple? Wang Junyi?

Isn’t he in the Changfeng Sect? Why did he come to Chenguang Hall?

"Heard? Who did you hear it from? Why have I not heard a thing?" Su Changfeng frowned as he looked at her and asked.

"I have my spies here, and I can assure you, your disciple is indeed in the prison of Chenguang Hall. If you don’t believe me, you should investigate properly. He came riding a Blood Lion, probably a lot of people saw him," You Meng said.

Hearing this, Su Changfeng immediately went out to gather information.

If Wang Junyi really came riding a Blood Lion, then surely many people would have seen it, and he could verify whether what You Meng said was true.

After asking several people, Su Changfeng finally believed that someone had indeed come riding a Blood Lion. Though the identity was unknown, the Emperor’s men indeed took him away.

Su Changfeng’s heart sank straight down. Before he left, he instructed Wang Junyi to stay quietly in the Changfeng Sect and manage sect-related affairs. His sudden appearance at Chenguang Hall clearly indicated something had happened at the Changfeng Sect.

Since Su Changfeng did not know what had occurred at the sect, he could only go to Wang Junyi to find out.

Now that Wang Junyi is imprisoned by the Emperor, the first thing he ought to do is to seek out the Emperor.

Su Changfeng returned to the main hall and directly asked, "Emperor, I heard my disciple came?"

"Your disciple, who is he?" The Emperor frowned as he asked, seemingly unaware of who Su Changfeng was referring to.

Su Changfeng’s expression turned cold, knowing Wang Junyi’s nature all too well; he would absolutely have announced his identity immediately. How could the Emperor possibly not know?

Feigning ignorance, was he planning to use Wang Junyi to threaten him?

"Emperor, up till now, I remain loyal to Xingluo, so don’t make me change my mind," Su Changfeng said expressionlessly.

Until now, he hadn’t considered betraying Xingluo, but the future was uncertain.

Such treasonous words, probably only Su Changfeng would dare say them outright, and anyone else saying it in the hall of Chenguang Hall would be disrespectful to the Emperor, perhaps resulting in immediate execution.

As for the Emperor, although expecting Su Changfeng to question him upon knowing the matter, he hadn’t thought Su Changfeng would actually utter such words.

The furious Emperor restrained his emotions, saying, "Sect Master Su, do you know what you’re saying right now?"

"I do. My disciple indeed broke Chenguang Hall’s rules, but he came in haste for something important. Could the Emperor not show leniency?"

"Once his punishment is over, I will naturally release him," the Emperor said.

Su Changfeng’s gaze grew colder. Punishment over? By the time Wang Junyi is released, it might be too late.

"I wish to see him, please allow it, Emperor," Su Changfeng said with a slight bow, which was already a courteous gesture, especially given that Su Changfeng had never done this for anyone else before.

The Emperor felt better seeing this gesture, at least maintaining his dignity. Moreover, he hadn’t intended to imprison Wang Junyi for long, as he is Su Changfeng’s disciple after all, and the Emperor wanted to give Su Changfeng some face.

"Considering your disciple hadn’t been to Chenguang Hall before and was unaware of its rules, this time I won’t hold it against him. However, after you take him away, don’t forget to teach him properly; Chenguang Hall is not a place he can recklessly disrupt," the Emperor said.

The Emperor’s words ostensibly addressed Wang Junyi but actually aimed to caution Su Changfeng.

Of course, Su Changfeng wasn’t concerned about the Emperor’s attitude. Since the moment he embarked to Chenguang Hall, Su Changfeng had no intention of groveling before the Emperor.

Besides, Xingluo, in Su Changfeng’s eyes, wasn’t a place he had to stay in, so even if things soured with the Emperor, he could move to the other two countries.

"Thank you." Su Changfeng said expressionlessly.

Following the Emperor’s men, Su Changfeng went to the prison.

When he saw Wang Junyi, clearly beaten and extremely weak, Su Changfeng could no longer contain the immense rage boiling inside him.

The subordinate explained, "He barged into Chenguang Hall and refused to cooperate, so we had to use some special measures."

Su Changfeng’s expression remained indifferent, showing no signs of whether he was angry or not.

The subordinate understood that Su Changfeng was indeed enraged. His explanation was meant to help calm Su Changfeng, but it seemed entirely ineffective.

The subordinate couldn’t help but exclaim; he’d been by the Emperor’s side for so long, yet never seen anyone dare to show displeasure towards the Emperor. And even if he displayed such an attitude, the Emperor couldn’t do much about it.

Perhaps this is what a true master is like; when your strength reaches a certain level, even someone as mighty as the Emperor cannot touch you.

Opening the cell door, Su Changfeng entered, immediately hoisting Wang Junyi onto his shoulder.

As he left, Su Changfeng said to the subordinate, "Thank the Emperor for me; I, Su Changfeng, will certainly remember well in my heart."

The subordinate gazed at Su Changfeng, feeling somewhat helpless; was this fellow warning the Emperor? He truly was reckless.

Upon returning to the main hall, the subordinate naturally conveyed Su Changfeng’s words to the Emperor.

Upon hearing this, the Emperor’s expression turned unpleasant, though there was little else he could do.

"I always knew Su Changfeng was difficult to control, but I didn’t expect him to be unmanageable to this extent."

"This fellow might become a threat in the future. Emperor, do you think we could take advantage of the Silver Flood Dragon incident to eliminate him?" the subordinate asked.

The Emperor’s expression was complex, and what he thought in his heart was beyond outsiders’ knowledge.

Bringing Wang Junyi back to You Meng’s house, You Meng saw Wang Junyi’s condition and looked surprised. Although she understood the Emperor capturing Wang Junyi was normal, Wang Junyi being injured was unexpected.

"Looks like the Emperor took out his displeasure towards you on him," You Meng said.

"I’ll definitely make him understand the consequences of such actions," Su Changfeng said coldly.

Consequences for the Emperor? Such treasonous words, probably only Su Changfeng dared say them.

"In his current state, he must rest properly for a period," You Meng said.
