The City’s Strongest Son-in-law Chapter 1412 - 1411: Trouble Complex

Su Changfeng looked at the man leading the group and smiled, "I noticed you earlier. I wondered why you were running so fast. Turns out, you were looking for reinforcements?"
The man Su Changfeng was looking at didn’t seem the least bit guilty, loudly responding, "Such a pretty lady, can you really keep her? Why don’t we help you out?"
Beautiful women are always magnets for trouble. Su Changfeng was quite used to these kinds of situations.
However, this group of people in front of him was clearly out of luck, as they had their eyes on Baili Luoyuan.
Even though they had a fourth-rank expert among them, which would make them formidable to ordinary folks, Su Changfeng and his companions were sect leaders. Coming to cause trouble for them was just asking for trouble.
"Sect Master Baili, it seems they’re after you," Su Changfeng said with a smile to Baili Luoyuan.
Noticing the title "Sect Master," the expressions of the men changed instantly. Someone referred to as a Sect Master must have some prowess.
But within Xingluo, Sect Masters vary in rank, and the Martial Arts world has many who brag about being disciples of a sect just to intimidate others.
"Oh, so this little lady is a Sect Master, huh? Which sect might that be?" the leading man asked Baili Luoyuan, his eyes practically glued to her with a mischievous smirk.
"Qingluan Sect," Baili Luoyuan replied calmly. She didn’t want to resort to violence, so she revealed her identity, hoping they’d back off knowing who she was.
The crowd burst into laughter upon hearing this, clearly not believing her.
"Little lady, you’re quite the jokester. If you’re the Sect Master of Qingluan, then I’m the Emperor of Xingluo. If you’re going to lie, at least make it believable. If you hadn’t mentioned Qingluan Sect, I might have believed you. The Sect Master of Qingluan is so formidable; why would they come to such a small place like ours?"
"Boss, let’s not waste words with her. Let’s take her away. This pretty lady will be ours."
Upon hearing this, Su Changfeng shook his head with some resignation. Baili Luoyuan obviously didn’t intend to resort to killing, yet these people were courting death. It seemed there was no choice but to take action this time.
"Alright then, I might as well have another cup of tea," Su Changfeng said as he waved lazily at Baili Luoyuan and sat back down, taking on an attitude of enjoying the spectacle over tea.
Baili Luoyuan was inwardly furious. This guy was nothing like a real man. Despite being a beauty, when encountering trouble, he had no intention of helping at all. Utterly outrageous.
Although with her strength, dealing with these guys posed no challenge, did he have no appreciation for beauty?
"Su Sect Master must really like the tea here," Baili Luoyuan said through gritted teeth.
Su Changfeng didn’t respond to her comment but told the group, "Remember, when you beg for mercy later, you’d better be sincere. Otherwise, this young lady won’t let you off easily."
With that, Su Changfeng leisurely poured himself a cup of tea, drinking slowly.
The group naturally didn’t pay attention to Su Changfeng’s words, looking at Baili Luoyuan as if they could eat her alive. With the man clearly not intending to help, what else could they possibly worry about?
"Go for it! Capture this young lady. Whoever gets her can have the first go."
With that, the group charged at Baili Luoyuan as if they were ravenous wolves.
Su Changfeng turned his eyes away, unable to bear witnessing the group’s fate. From the sounds of painful groans echoing around him, Su Changfeng clicked his tongue with emotion.
"Alas, I did warn you, and you still went and provoked the Sect Master of Qingluan Sect. It’s basically suicide," Su Changfeng sighed.
The fight ended quickly, with Baili Luoyuan claiming an overwhelming victory.
It was only then that Su Changfeng glanced back, witnessing the misery on the battlefield. Bodies lay sprawled all over, most curling up in pain, with a few even unconscious.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. I told you not to cross her, but you just wouldn’t listen. See what happened?" Su Changfeng said with a helpless expression.
Baili Luoyuan glared at Su Changfeng, her teeth grinding in frustration. She couldn’t believe there was a man like him in the world.
"I am Baili Luoyuan, the Sect Master of Qingluan Sect. Do you still think I’m lying now?" Baili Luoyuan asked coldly, looking at the people on the ground.
The leading man quickly nodded. He never expected the seemingly delicate and fragile lady to be so powerful. Seeing the state he was in, what was there not to believe?
"Sect Master Baili, it’s all my fault for being blind and offending you. Please, be the bigger person and don’t hold it against us," the man pleaded, his forehead banging on the ground as he begged.
Su Changfeng couldn’t help but sigh. He had lost count of how many times he had seen such occurrences. But what could be done? It was bound to happen again and again in the future.
"What a bore," Su Changfeng sighed again.
"What’s so boring?" Baili Luoyuan asked, frowning at Su Changfeng.
"Oh, nothing. If you don’t plan to kill them, don’t tarry. We need to get going," Su Changfeng said.
Hearing this, the group kneeling on the ground trembled all over, kowtowing even harder, pleading with Baili Luoyuan to spare them.
Baili Luoyuan wasn’t the type who delighted in killing, especially with such low-level minions, who weren’t even worthy of her attention.
"Get lost," Baili Luoyuan said coldly.
"Alright, alright, we’ll leave immediately. Thank you, Sect Master Baili..." the group left in a panic as if being granted a great pardon.
Then, the two continued on their way towards Chenguang Hall.
Although Baili Luoyuan was somewhat displeased with Su Changfeng’s detachment, it wasn’t evident on her face. Generally, faced with such situations, a man would choose to play the hero. However, given Su Changfeng’s usual eccentric behavior, his choice wasn’t particularly surprising to Baili Luoyuan.
"We’re almost at Chenguang Hall. Have you really decided?" Baili Luoyuan asked, looking at Su Changfeng.
"Decided on what?" Su Changfeng raised an eyebrow.
"Once you enter Chenguang Hall, your fate will be in the hands of the Emperor. Are you not worried that he might take action against you? After all, your existence does pose a significant threat to Chenguang Hall," Baili Luoyuan said.
Su Changfeng smiled. If he were worried about such matters, he wouldn’t have come to Chenguang Hall. Since he was already here, he was prepared for everything.
Even if the Emperor had the power to kill him, Su Changfeng would fight with all his might.
