Shen Rushuang dismissed Su Changfeng, who was unfazed by her words. Wang Junyi became annoyed by Shen Rushuang's arrogance. They encountered people from Qiyun City who invited Wang Junyi to visit, sparking his excitement at the mention of the Red Powder River. Later, Su Changfeng sensed a blood scent, leading them to discover the corpses of the Qiyun City travelers and a slain Horned Rabbit, indicating the presence of a powerful Exotic Beast.

"There are hardly any signs of a struggle here, indicating a vast difference in power between the two sides. They likely encountered something formidable," Su Changfeng surmised after a brief inspection. The scarcity of battle traces pointed to a complete annihilation of the opposing force, leaving them no opportunity to retaliate. Furthermore, Su Changfeng observed that the fallen had been dispatched instantly.

"What should we do now?" Wang Junyi inquired hesitantly, looking to Su Changfeng for guidance.

Su Changfeng’s brow furrowed. While he preferred to conceal his true capabilities, the current predicament compelled him to act. If he remained passive, his demise, along with that of Wang Junyi and Shen Rushuang, seemed inevitable, as they stood no chance against the approaching creature.

An immediate retreat was out of the question; a palpable sense of being watched, with a predatory entity lurking nearby, ready to pounce at any moment, permeated the air.

As if on cue, a guttural roar split the air, reverberating throughout the Yuanqi Mountain Range.

"A Blood Lion! It’s actually a Blood Lion!"

"A Blood Lion, isn’t that a Seven-star Beast from the central region? How could it possibly be in the inner circle?"

"A Seven-star Beast in the inner circle? They’re supposed to be exclusive to the central region! If this is true, aren’t all of us in the inner circle in grave danger?"

The alarm wasn’t confined to the inner circle; its echoes reached those on the outskirts of the Yuanqi Mountain Range.

At this critical juncture, Shen Rushuang found herself consumed by despair. Her initial scheme to eliminate Su Changfeng had been overshadowed by the calamitous appearance of a Seven-star Beast. Her current strength offered no means of escape.

She realized with grim certainty that if Su Changfeng perished, her own survival would be impossible.

A wave of regret washed over Shen Rushuang. Had she refrained from her reckless impulse and avoided venturing into the inner circle with Su Changfeng, she would not be facing this dire situation.

However, she acknowledged the futility of her regret. The roar had been unmistakable, confirming the Blood Lion’s proximity. All options seemed to have evaporated.

"A Blood Lion… it seems our fate is sealed," Shen Rushuang declared with a heavy heart.

"What nonsense are you spouting? Who said it was a Blood Lion? Blood Lions are Exotic Beasts from the central region!" Wang Junyi exclaimed, unable to accept the grim reality, a mixture of anxiety and disbelief coloring his words.

If their encounter was indeed with a Blood Lion, his own diminished capabilities would be utterly insufficient. Having only recently found a mentor and begun to appreciate his nascent progress, meeting his end now felt like an unbearable loss.

Shen Rushuang retorted with a cold snort, her face ashen, "At this point, is there any use in deceiving yourself?"

Wang Junyi opened his mouth to respond but froze as his eyes caught sight of a colossal Blood Lion, its fur shimmering with a faint crimson hue, emerging from the shadows and advancing towards them.

Each thundering step it took sent tremors through the ground, a testament to its immense power.

Despair engulfed Wang Junyi. He couldn't fathom their abysmal luck in crossing paths with a Blood Lion!

A Seven-star Beast from the heart of the Yuanqi Mountain Range, appearing here and encountering them so fatefully? What conceivable path to survival remained?

Utterly devoid of hope, Shen Rushuang turned to the man beside her, her voice laced with bitterness, "Su Changfeng, you were the one meant to die, yet here I am, dragged down with you. How can this be? I refuse to accept this!"

Su Changfeng regarded her with an impassive gaze, offering no reply. He recognized that her malicious intentions had precipitated their current predicament; without them, they would not be in this precarious situation.

If Su Changfeng’s body wasn’t afflicted by the poison of the Little White Snake, he might have considered confronting the beast. However, in his current state, engaging the Blood Lion was impossible. The question arose: should he permit the Little White Snake to intervene?

The Little White Snake was, in fact, the White Jade Python. Its exposure would shatter Su Changfeng’s carefully maintained low profile, potentially attracting the attention of the Xingluo Royal Family and inviting further peril.

This was precisely what Su Changfeng sought to avoid, at least for the time being.

Remaining silent, Su Changfeng met Wang Junyi’s gaze and mouthed a few words.

Wang Junyi, understanding the unspoken command, moved swiftly towards Shen Rushuang.

"What are you doing?" Shen Rushuang questioned, her brow furrowed in suspicion.

Without further ado, Wang Junyi raised his hand and delivered a swift chop to the back of Shen Rushuang’s neck. In the ensuing moment, she went limp and collapsed.

"Master, can you handle the Blood Lion?" Wang Junyi asked, his eyes alight with hope as he turned to Su Changfeng, acknowledging their sole chance of survival rested with him.

Su Changfeng shook his head and explained, "I was previously injured, the toxins in my body haven’t cleared, I’m afraid I can’t deal with that creature."

Wang Junyi’s face fell; his current strength was merely Fourth Rank, even if he charged in with all his might, he’d be instantly crushed by the opponent.

"Master, what do we do now? That creature is a Seven-star Beast, it moves quickly, we can’t escape." Wang Junyi was about to cry.

"I have a way, but no matter what you see next, it’s best to forget it, otherwise, I’m afraid I can’t let you stay." Su Changfeng said.

Although Wang Junyi didn’t understand what Su Changfeng meant, he trusted his master greatly now, so he nodded without hesitation.

"Master, don’t worry, you are my master, how could I betray you?" Wang Junyi said, though he was also very curious about what Su Changfeng had up his sleeve. Seeing his serious demeanor, Wang Junyi’s heart couldn’t help but beat faster.

At this moment, Wang Junyi still did not know he would witness something unforgettable for the rest of his life today—the White Jade Python, Nine-star Beast, appearing, even the Primordial Essence of Tianyuan Continent dreamed of owning it as the strongest Exotic Beast.

Su Changfeng rubbed his arm, sighed, and said, "Hurry up and get to work, show me what you’re capable of."

Soon, the Little White Snake lazily poked its head out and slowly crawled out.

Wang Junyi was initially stunned; was this a joke, this little creature?

He gulped and looked at the Blood Lion, which stood nearly two persons tall, saying with a shocked face, "Master, is this?"

Following his surprise, he was also puzzled; his master couldn’t possibly bring out something useless, right? But he really couldn’t see any special traits of this little thing.

Wang Junyi naturally didn’t know that this was the White Jade Python, since he had never seen it before, and couldn’t possibly think that the strongest White Jade Python among the Nine-star Beasts would look like this little creature.

Su Changfeng didn’t speak, his eyes tightly fixed on the White Jade Python crawling towards the Blood Lion’s feet. Back when they were in the Infinite Cave, this little fellow had put all the Exotic Beasts in their place, so he thought dealing with the Blood Lion shouldn’t be an issue.

But to his surprise, the Blood Lion was completely unafraid of the Little White Snake, even raising its foot to step on the little creature as it crawled over.
