Ye Shikai and the Chen, Li, and Ji families are ambushed by an army of bronze Qin soldiers. While the Chen family's energy barrier initially blocks arrows, the Ji and Li families suffer casualties. The bronze soldiers then surround the group, forcing a confrontation. Meanwhile, the Zheng family, heading down a different path, hears approaching footsteps and prepares for a potential encounter. Back with Ye Shikai's group, they discover the bronze soldiers are nearly impenetrable, only vulnerable to decapitation, and Ye Shikai rushes to aid Ji Qian.

"Qian, are you okay?" Ye Shikai asked.

"Don’t worry, but these bronze creatures are not easy to deal with." As Ji Qian finished speaking, a bronze soldier next to them thrust a spear towards her. Ye Shikai, quick-eyed and swift-handed, grabbed the spearhead, pulled it forcefully, and countered with a reverse sword stroke, finishing it off...

"You can’t deal with them without taking out their heads." Ye Shikai could project his Inner Strength, but there were simply too many bronze soldiers, and they felt no pain or fear of death. He alone was far from enough.

"There are too many of them. If we fight them one by one, we’d be exhausted before we could finish them all."

The spear phalanx of the bronze Qin Army charged forward. The three groups couldn’t withstand it, and many were pierced and injured, starting to retreat.

Ye Shikai had once served as the commander of the Qin Army, rising from a soldier to a general. Whether strategizing or personally commanding on the battlefield, he had experienced it all, so he understood the Qin Army very well. From top to bottom, they were orderly. Once engaged, without orders, they would never stop, fighting to the death.

"Young lady, are you alright?" Chen Ligong and the White Mist Army members approached Ji Qian. The Qin Army moved fast, breaking through the three groups’ line of defense in a flash. In fact, they were never an "alliance," mostly fighting independently. Even with powerful cultivators setting up formations, there were numerous gaps, barely qualifying as a defense line, more like a hasty resistance.

"I’m fine, but there are too many people here. We must retreat immediately." Ji Qian said urgently.

"This... I’m afraid it’s too late; there are too many creatures. We’ve set up an array, and a hasty retreat would certainly cause heavy casualties."

"I have a plan," Ye Shikai suddenly said.

"What are you going to do?" Ji Qian asked in return.

"The strength of the Qin Army lies in their orderliness and obedience to command. The whole army is like a war machine, but without orders, they won’t act," Ye Shikai explained.

"What do you mean by that, are you saying..."

"If we take out their General, these creatures won’t be able to move."

"No, it’s too dangerous. Besides, with so many creatures, how do you know where their General is?" Ye Shikai explained, pulling out the Netherworld King’s Helmet from his Storage Ring. Though he didn’t use this treasure often, it didn’t mean it was useless.

Utilizing his Inner Strength, Ye Shikai "disappeared" from the spot instantly. Even these creatures couldn’t see him, allowing him to pass through the army formation boldly and move to the rear. Having served as a Qin Army general, he knew that a General usually commanded from the rear, not because they feared death, but because once they fell, the whole unit would be leaderless. Furthermore, if the Main General perished, the army’s morale would surely waver, and who knew what could happen.

Ye Shikai passed through the formation, searching carefully. Sure enough, he spotted a mounted General at the rear. In the Qin Army, the attire of each level of soldier and General differed, from squad leader, Centurion, village chief, to the Hundred Generals in the rear, all distinctive. Ye Shikai didn’t know why so many "bronze Qin soldiers" appeared here, but the perfection of their attire details was just what Ye Shikai needed.

Indeed, found him here.

Ye Shikai approached slowly. Due to his invisibility, the bronze soldiers couldn’t see him at all.

Now was the moment.

In a flash, Ye Shikai lunged forward, wielding the You Xi sword, and killed with one swift move.

Ye Shikai removed the helmet, picking up the "head" on the ground. At first glance, it was clearly just a bronze statue, nothing special. He feared the guards nearby might attack him, but unexpectedly, they remained motionless. To be precise, all the bronze soldiers present were still.

"Why... aren’t they moving?"

"Yes, what on earth is happening?"

People pointed at the bronze figures. They had truly turned into statues; some soldiers still held their swords aloft, as if frozen in place.

"Crisis averted, they won’t move again." Ye Shikai held the bronze General’s "head," placing it gently on the ground before everyone.

In truth, these were less monsters and more like robots. Everyone obeyed the commands of one, devoid of emotion or thought, so much so that once the General died... they ceased to resist and stayed completely still.

Although it was still unclear what exactly they were, it didn’t matter now...

"Kai, are you okay?" Chen Yuxin stepped forward to inquire.

"I’m fine. They’ve stopped moving, so quickly treat the wounded, don’t delay." Ye Shikai remembered encountering those "ghost soldiers" in the Atlantis ruins. If wounded by them, death would spread from the wound to the entire body, and once it got into the bones, it was certain death. He was a bit worried if these bronze men might have such "death energy."

"Ruoya, quickly attend to the injured." Chen Yuxin commanded.

"Yes, Family Head."

The Ji Family and the Li Family also began treating the wounded, but the situation was far worse than they had imagined. Many were injured, and while there was no death energy, the injuries couldn’t be healed by Inner Strength. Full recovery would require a slow convalescence, but it was impossible to send them all back now unless the families decided to return home. However, Li Changtian, Ji Tao, and Chen Yuxin would not do that.

"Bear with the pain, I’ll pull the arrow out for you." Ye Shikai personally helped treat the injured. It was strange that Inner Strength couldn’t heal these "cuts and sword wounds," so they had to rely on the most straightforward methods: applying medicine, bandaging, and taking painkillers.

"Thank you, Young Master."

Ye Shikai carefully checked their injuries. Life wasn’t in immediate danger, but future actions would certainly be inconvenient.

"Xin, many are injured. If we take them along, it’s a minor impact on our progress, but if danger arises again, they’ll only have death awaiting them," Ye Shikai said calmly.

"Alright, I’ll arrange for some to escort them down the mountain."

"Okay."

The Ji Family and Li Family also sent people to take the wounded down the mountain. Taking advantage of the break, everyone rested and replenished their energy. However, Ye Shikai wasn’t idle. He went to the bronze statues to examine them closely. Now, looking at them, they were no different from the bronze statues outside, not seeming like life forms at all. It seemed some energy manipulated them, giving them life-like movements.

"Could it be, because of this palace?" Ye Shikai carefully observed the surroundings, but there was no energy fluctuation anywhere, nor any pre-set array methods.
