The Bodyguard King’s CEO Wife Chapter 1083: Hacker System

~5 minute read · 1,194 words

"Hey, let me in." The Worm hugged his computer, trying to force his way inside, but was pushed to the ground by a bodyguard. He was one of the few ordinary people in the Netherworld Palace without Inner Strength, but his motto was "technology is power." Top hackers are all "ticking time bombs," especially in today’s increasingly information-driven world; the Worm could achieve things that seemed impossible.

"You guys..." The Worm dusted off his clothes, his face full of anger, hurriedly checking if his computer was broken. The elite forces of the Netherworld Palace and Moon God Temple had gone to the East Sea, leaving him without any help; of course, there’s no one with combat skills, but there was a troublemaker.

A young girl was sitting in a cafe opposite the Chen family, enjoying her afternoon tea leisurely.

"Welcome." The Worm limped into the cafe, hugging his computer.

"Worm, why didn’t you get in?" The young girl was Zi Yun; although she didn’t have much Inner Strength, no one dared to provoke her in the Netherworld Palace. Seeing the Worm in a mess, Zi Yun couldn’t help but laugh, nearly spitting out her coffee.

"Nonsense, didn’t you just see it? Those security guys look down on people. One day, I’ll teach them a lesson." The Worm placed his computer on the table, checking his "treasure" distressingly.

"Carrying a shabby computer around, of course, they won’t let you in." Zi Yun rolled her eyes at him. "Speaking of which, if you want to get back at them, given your ability, hacking their accounts for every penny would be a breeze."

"Getting revenge like that would be too low. Do you think my vision is that low? Besides, I’m in a hurry to find the Boss; how can I waste my energy on a few security guards?" The Worm picked up his computer and started typing rapidly.

"The Boss’s phone is constantly unreachable, yet I’m sure he’s inside. Moreover, I reported my identity, but the security still won’t let me in. Something seems off." The Worm’s expression became somber.

"I’m going to hack into the Chen family’s surveillance system," the Worm said resolutely.

"Alright, I’ll watch you show off your skills from here." Zi Yun took a sip of coffee, looking relaxed and at ease.

"Show off? I need to access the Chen family’s security system, but breaking in from outside is too difficult; I need help." The Worm said while his eyes inadvertently fell on Zi Yun.

"Hey, you pervert, what are you trying to do?"

"Zi Yun, I need your help." The Worm grinned shamelessly. "You’re a beauty; it’s easier for you to do this kind of thing than me."

"What do you want to do?"

"Wait a moment." The Worm took out a USB drive from his pocket, plugged it into the computer, and started typing a piece of code.

"Done." The Worm clapped his hands excitedly, handed the USB drive to Zi Yun. "I planted a virus inside. Just insert it into the Chen family’s security room’s computer for three or four seconds, and it’ll be mission accomplished."

"That’s your brilliant plan?" Zi Yun snorted coldly. "I’m not the Boss who can turn invisible; how could I just walk in openly?"

"Of course not, you’re a woman, aren’t you?" The Worm looked around, moved closer, and whispered in Zi Yun’s ear. "Women have an advantage in this kind of thing."

"Hmph, no wonder you still can’t find a girlfriend at your age, making women do this kind of thing." Zi Yun said angrily.

"I’m only worried about the Boss’s safety." The Worm’s expression turned serious again. "The Boss has been at the Chen family for days without coming out, and his phone is unreachable. Jeddon in the Netherworld Palace keeps brushing me off. I worry something might have happened in the Chen family."

"You have a point there, well then, for my brother’s sake, I’ll ’sell’ myself once." Zi Yun teased.

"That’s right, with Zi Yun taking action, success is guaranteed."

"You flatterer."

East Sea.

"Lord Moon God, there are too many of them; if this continues, we’ll be surrounded." Nightmare swung a hand halberd, killing through the crowd, severely wounding the Poison Palm by chopping off one of her hands. However, he was also injured, as were the others. He wasn’t afraid of a hard battle, but the mission in the East Sea couldn’t be compromised — they couldn’t be caught before finding Ghost.

From their conversation, Ji Qian guessed there might be a bounty issued for her. As for the price, it’s probably sky-high, or else how could there be so many people willing to come?

"Everyone, hold your peace." Suddenly, a stern voice echoed, and many people rushed out from around them, standing between the two parties. The intervention of a third party made the situation unclear, so neither side dared act rashly. Just as both sides were puzzled, a man dressed in white leapt down from the air.

"Everyone fighting here in my Zheng family’s territory seems inappropriate." The man slowly walked towards both parties.

"It’s the eldest young master of the Zheng family; apologies for the oversight." The Thousand Hands Witch saw the newcomer, unable to hide her wary expression. Not only her, but Poison Palm and others from different sects all displayed solemn expressions.

"The eldest young master, Zheng Ji." Ji Qian murmured softly. She knew the East Sea well, and the Zheng Family was dominant there. The Family Head, Zheng Li, had only two children, Zheng Ruo and Zheng Li. Recently, Zheng Ruo was assassinated inside the Zheng family; hence this matter was widely known. One of Ji Qian’s purposes in coming to the East Sea was to uncover the truth behind this incident.

"So many people fighting, bodies all over, this doesn’t seem good." Zheng Ji said calmly, glancing at the corpses on the ground.

"Mr. Zheng, this matter has nothing to do with your family; please refrain from intervening, and we will be grateful." The Thousand Hands Witch bowed to Zheng Ji. They feared the Zheng family’s power in the East Sea. Zheng Ji being the eldest young master in their territory made them reluctant to act against him. Thus, they could only persuade him to leave.

"That’s not right; you all know the identity of the person next to me — the dignified young lady of Yanjing’s Ji family. This is my Zheng family’s territory. If Miss Ji gets hurt, how should my family give an account to the Ji family?" Zheng Ji shook his head. "Everyone come to my territory, why not resolve this conflict peacefully? If interested, I’ll host a banquet for everyone here; how about it?"

Zheng Ji slowly approached Ji Qian, whispering words only audible to them:

"Come with me later, don’t tangle with these sect people."
