Reinhardt attended a festival in Blueberry Town and met Aurelia. As the celebration continued, members of a criminal syndicate entered the church. Sensing danger, Reinhardt intervened and swiftly defeated them with a single punch, causing them to crash outside.

He was a little surprised they managed to dissipate the force and land on their feet in that short period of time.

"Members of the Benedict Syndicate. I am Reinhardt Arcknight, a Holy Knight from the Order of the Temple of Light. On orders of the Council of Elders, you are all under arrest".

Reinhardt snorted. "Surrender if you don’t want to experience more pain."

He spoke the words calmly; his eyes didn’t conceal his disgust, and he looked at them as if they were scum.

The young men sprawled across the churchyard froze for a second before rage flooded their faces.

"Surrender?"

"You ambushed us and now you’re telling us to surrender?!"

"Who the hell do you think you are?!"

Those who managed to block his attack earlier and those who were sprawled on the ground forced themselves back to their feet. Even injured, their movements remained disciplined as they surrounded Reinhardt.

Their actions made him frown.

Given the way they moved and surrounded him in a formation, they seemed less like thugs. Their footwork was stable. Their breathing patterns were controlled.

Even the way they distributed their weight during their stance showed clear combat doctrine. The next moment, they all stormed him. SLASH... A scar-faced youth lunged first.

His sword sliced through the air with enough force to cut stone. In the face of it, Reinhardt casually tilted his head. The sword brushed past his cheek, missing it by inches.

A second attacker appeared from the side. A third came from behind. The coordination was excellent.

If it were any ordinary knight, they would have been overwhelmed instantly. But against True Knights and above, these attacks held no meaning.

Reinhardt merely took a single step, and the three attacks missed him simultaneously.

In the next instant, Reinhardt attacked. His palm struck out. Bang... The scar-face folded like a shrimp before flying across the courtyard.

Before he even landed, Reinhardt turned and grabbed another youth by the wrist.

Crack... A simple twist disrupted the attack. The young man cried out before being thrown into two charging companions.

The three rolled across the ground together. Dust exploded everywhere.

"Damn it."

"Get him."

More rushed forward, trying to use numbers to pin him down.

This time they attacked from all sides: fists... kicks... elbows. Even grappling techniques. In a matter of minutes, the yard became a battlefield.

Meanwhile, Reinhardt remained completely relaxed even while completely surrounded. His sword never left its sheath. In fact, he hadn’t even touched it once.

He simply dodged, blocked, countered, and completely treated the battle as a warm up. For the attackers, though, they hit an iron wall. No matter how they tried, they all failed to even catch the edges of his clothes.

Bang... Bang... Bang... One after another, they were sent flying. Be that as it may, as the fight continued, Reinhardt’s confusion deepened. Something wasn’t right.

These men were criminals? Impossible. The foundation behind their attacks was too solid. Behind each of their attacks, he could see training, discipline, and repetition.

What was even more shocking was that several of their movements were directly derived from the standard knight training manuals.

Reinhardt knew because he had practiced those forms countless times. There was no mistaking them.

Why would members of a criminal syndicate know military combat techniques? The thought flashed through his mind. Then he shook his head.

Questions could come later. First, he would subdue them.

BOOM... A powerful kick erupted from Reinhardt.

A visible shockwave spread outward. The remaining attackers were blasted off their feet. Soon... the yard became silent.

One after another, the young men crashed into the ground; their groans echoed across the churchyard.

The battle had lasted barely a few minutes. Reinhardt dusted off his sleeves.

At this moment, the townspeople also rushed out of the church. The moment they came out, they stood frozen. Looking at the fallen young men, then at Reinhardt, no one knew what to think for a moment.

"What’s going on? Did they do something to make Sir Knight angry?"

A few elderly people stepped forward, wanting to mediate the situation.

Meanwhile, Silas stood near the church entrance. His expression remained unreadable. He merely watched quietly.

The fallen youths, however, were not willing to admit defeat.

"You’ll pay for this."

"Our leader won’t let this go."

"When he gets here, you’re finished."

Reinhardt simply snorted. "Hmph."

A Holy Knight fearing criminals? Ridiculous.

Just as he was about to ask where their leader was, it was then...

"Oi... why are you all like this?"

A voice sounded from the church gate.

Everyone turned their eyes. There, standing near the church gate, a young man carrying several large bags of food appeared at some unknown point.

He looked to be around Reinhardt’s age. Tall, broad shouldered, and well built. His black hair was slightly messy from travel.

Sharp amber eyes carried a strange mixture of warmth and authority. There was nothing overly handsome about him. Yet something about him naturally drew attention.

His gaze swept over the churchyard. He had asked these fellows to go ahead and go to the church first while he went back home to bring some food to share with the people inside. When he came back, he saw this scene.

His brothers in arms, people he considered his little brothers and subordinates, were all lying on the ground, injured.

Looking at the damaged ground, at the man standing in the middle of the yard, and the silence, he immediately understood everything. With the realization came boundless anger.

How would he not? They were all people he cared about. The next instant, the smile on his face disappeared, and a terrifying pressure radiated out of his body.

Thud... The bags slipped from his hands.

Immediately at the same time, wind exploded outward. The man had disappeared from his place. Fast! Reinhardt’s pupils contracted.

Without hesitation, he raised an arm.

BANG... A fist collided against his guard. The resulting shockwave flattened nearby grass.

Even the church doors rattled violently. The young man’s eyes widened in surprise. "Hoh, so you blocked it."

Likewise, feeling the power behind that punch, Reinhardt’s expression became serious. "Are you their leader?"

The young man ignored the question. Instead, he glanced toward his injured friends, and his face darkened further.

"Did you do this?"

Reinhardt lowered his arm. "They resisted arrest."

"Arrest?" The young man’s aura became even colder. "So you are sent by those people, huh."

Wind began gathering around him. Dust spiraled into the sky. The atmosphere immediately grew oppressive.

Being locked on by that aura, Reinhardt narrowed his eyes. Interesting... This man was strong, far stronger than these goons he just fought.

In fact, they were not in the same league. Sir Silas indeed did not lie. He thought internally.

"So you are the leader of the criminal syndicate?" Although Reinhardt put it as a question, he was almost certain this was the man he was looking for.

"Criminal syndicate?"

The young man laughed. Not because it was funny. But because he genuinely couldn’t believe what he had heard.

"A bunch of garbage declaring us criminals makes us criminals? Don’t make me laugh".

BOOM... He exploded forth with an even greater aura.

The next moment, he disappeared again. A blur shot forward from Reinhardt’s left, aiming for his face.

BANG... Two fists collided, causing a ring of compressed air to explode outward.

The shockwave sent a violent gale swirling all around the yard. Glass shattered, trees rustled instantly, and the flowers were swept from their roots. Reinhardt intercepted the attack and looked at the man before him.

With their attacks stalled, the both of them separated, jumping to create some distance. The next second, the both of them vanished from their place and clashed once again.

BANG... BANG... BANG...

Fist met fist.

Kick met kick.

Fist met kick.

Their figures vanished and appeared all around the church.

Each collision produced enough force to shake the surroundings. The young man fought with empty hands. Just like Reinhardt.

After several exchanges, the both of them realized that they could not gain an advantage over the other with just gauging attacks. They needed to get serious.

The next moment, their figures blurred across the churchyard, shaking the walls, shattering the tiles, and sending up a fierce gale with each exchange.

"Who the hell are you?!" The young man demanded, his body skidded backwards a few meters.

Reinhardt was also forced to take a few steps back. "Funny, I was about to ask you the same thing."

That level of strength wasn’t something the likes of some countryside goons could achieve.

Wind swirled around his fists. Reinhardt decided to go on the offensive. He disappeared again. This time, his punch carried enough force to create a shrill sonic boom. Yet against such an attack, the young man decided to face it head-on.

BOOOOM...

The resulting shockwave blasted dust hundreds of meters into the air. The townspeople were forced to take shelter.

Even the fallen group forgot their injuries and dove to take cover.
