Previously on System's Super Sect...
Wen Ping, the struggling leader of the nearly defunct Immortal Sect, faces public ridicule while attempting to recruit disciples with impossibly high standards. Burdened by his sect's decline, he has recently gained access to a mysterious Super Sect System that promises to restore his legacy through unique resources and missions. While his initial attempt to remodel the sect's main hall caused alarm among his remaining staff, he remains determined to reclaim his former authority and prestige.

"Uncle Wang, do not worry. It is likely just the high humidity here in the mountains."

Wen Ping offered no further explanation as he began walking, one step at a time, toward the main hall.

Left alone, it took several moments for Uncle Wang to process what he had heard.

(So, that is all there is to it? How simple. No wonder my knee joints started throbbing again. The dampness on Cloudmist Mountain must truly be excessive.)

Old Wang rubbed his aching knees and handed his broom to the mountain dog at his side. "Big Yellow, hold this. I am getting old... now that the Immortal Sect is gone, I really must start looking after myself better."

Woof!

Big Yellow clamped its jaws around the broom and trailed behind Old Wang.

At that exact moment, Wen Ping turned back to catch a glimpse of the hunched figure plodding along. The old man was a simple soul who had spent his entire life performing menial tasks for the Immortal Sect.

"Uncle Wang, do you still have any family living nearby?" Wen Ping inquired.

Uncle Wang started, appearing as though he hadn't quite grasped the question. He paused for a heartbeat and asked, "Eh? Did you say something?"

"I asked, do you have any kin? Everyone else from the Immortal Sect has departed, so why not go down the mountain and enjoy a quiet retirement?" Wen Ping replied with patience, repeating his question and elaborating further.

After all, Uncle Wang had served the Immortal Sect for his entire life and had never once descended the mountain.

He may not have been a master of great merit, but his toil was tireless. Seeing as the man was already ninety-seven years old and his time left was surely dwindling, Wen Ping felt it was unjust to allow him to remain in this desolate, 'abandoned' Immortal Sect.

"I have few years left in me, so where could I possibly go?"

With those words, Uncle Wang patted the mountain dog beside him.

The dog, Haha, barked twice. However, due to the broom gripped in its teeth, the sound was quite strange, earning it a light slap from Uncle Wang.

"Haha, try to sound normal!"

Woo, woo~

The dog could only flatten itself against the ground and spit out the broom, casting a 'wronged' expression toward its master.

Watching the old man and his dog, Wen Ping felt a sudden, emotional stirring in his heart—an indescribable sense of melancholy echoed within him.

(Forget it, I will simply keep Uncle Wang by my side.)

When his father was alive, he always stressed the rigid distance between superior and subordinate. But as the new master, Wen Ping resolved to treat Uncle Wang as family, ensuring he spent his final years in comfort. Yet, he would not forget the Elders and protectors who abandoned their posts after his father's passing. When they met again in the future, they would be far more than just strangers; they would be bitter rivals.

(You may have given the cold shoulder to the Immortal Sect today, but tomorrow, the Immortal Sect will ascend to such a lofty height that even looking upon it will be a privilege none of you can afford!)

...

Nightfall settled.

Wen Ping retreated to his Rain Listening Pavilion at the peak. He reclined on a bench, gazing briefly toward the main hall before drifting into a slumber.

Bathed in the serene glow of the moonlight, the sleeping Wen Ping was abruptly stirred by the resonating voice of the Super Sect System in his mind.

"Host, the renovation of the main hall is complete. The structure has been perfectly restored to its original glory. Furthermore, unique attributes have been integrated: the sect itself, including the Sect Leader, will now emit a unique aura of attraction within a 5,000-meter radius."

"Attraction? I like the sound of that. I feel as though I have been lacking that quality my entire life, which is likely why I have never had a girlfriend." Wen Ping blinked sleepily as a mission screen materialized before him.

[Main Hall renovation: Completed! Reward: 3x Gravity Field.]

[Please designate the installation area for the gravity field.]

"Hold on, let me consider this."

Wen Ping stood up and leaped onto the roof, scanning the landscape under the lunar glow. His gaze pierced the darkness, fixing upon the western expanse of Cloudmist Mountain.

He had only visited that site once, yet the memory was vivid. When he was ten, his father had taken him there, and he had been bedridden for three months upon his return.

That area served as a martial sparring ground, though it lacked any formal platform—it was merely an expansive, dirt-packed field.

In short, the disciples of the Immortal Sect fought there without rules, frequently wearing masks to hide their identities. It was a place where, if one were beaten, they were forbidden from weeping or protesting—even if they were the son of the Sect Leader.

Because of this, Wen Ping held no fondness for the place; banning it was the first step in his reclamation of the Immortal Sect.

Having made his choice, Wen Ping vaulted down from the roof.

Upon entering the pavilion, he discovered a wooden tray holding several cold meat and vegetable dishes. He picked up a piece of meat with his chopsticks, realizing Uncle Wang must have delivered the meal ages ago, choosing not to wake him.

After a quick meal, he tidied up, opened the door, and set off toward the western side of the mountain.

As he navigated the dense forest paths, the cries of insects and the calls of birds masked his movements. Soon, he reached the desolate clearing.

"Right here!"

[Installation in progress!]

A thick mist surged forward, swallowing the area.

[Installation successful!]

As the fog dissipated, nine grand dragon pillars, each ten meters in height, emerged from the earth. Carved dragon heads crowned the stone pillars, their sharp eyes locked toward the center. Dragon tails coiled around the bases, extending outward across the ground.

"Host, this gravity field offers two functions: 3x gravity, and a speed-and-strength training module. Would you like to test it yourself?"

"Certainly, otherwise I won't understand its true potential."

The moment Wen Ping stepped forward, the pillars groaned with a heavy, thunderous sound. The stone eyes of the dragons shifted, their gray pupils flickering to life.

Wen Ping froze in his tracks.

"System, give it to me straight. What exactly does this speed and strength training entail?"

"Is the host afraid?"

"Haha, hardly."

"Under 3x gravity, a cultivator's strength and agility are compressed to the point where any movement requires immense effort. However, if the user maintains their typical cultivation rhythm within this field, they will experience a 9x increase in their cultivation speed compared to outside conditions."

"9x?"

(Good heavens!) Wen Ping was nearly struck breathless by the news.

(9x the cultivation speed—isn't that absolutely staggering?)

One day spent training here was equivalent to nine days of external progress. That might seem negligible at first, but over a year? It would be akin to eight years of additional cultivation compared to one's peers! Two years would equate to sixteen years of effort!

Wen Ping sighed in wonder. "My heavens, this is far too formidable."

"I should mention that this speed boost is only compatible with cultivators in the Body Refinement Realm. It provides no benefit to those who have surpassed that stage."

"That is still more than acceptable."

Wen Ping offered a brief nod of approval before leaping into the gravity field without further hesitation.

As his feet touched the ground, his body buckled. It felt as though a literal mountain had been placed upon his shoulders, making every breath a struggle.

He attempted to jog a few steps, only to find his pace had slowed to a sluggish crawl.

3x gravity was truly terrifying!

He then began his standard punching routine. Given his current level at the seventh stage of Body Refinement, he would normally require half an hour to complete a full cycle of Qi. Yet, he managed to execute nine full cycles in that same duration!

His cultivation efficiency had truly surged ninefold.
