Lynn supervised the harvest with new tools, improving efficiency and anticipating a swift completion. He considered the many uses for barley, from food and drink to handicrafts and compost. He then joined the townsmen in the fields, working alongside them until the day's labor ended. As he returned to town, the textile workshop forewoman, Yimini, approached him with a troubled expression.

Lynn began to explain: "There's no need for any anxiety."

"I've summoned you here solely to convey an instruction."

Hearing this, Yimini, who had been feeling somewhat apprehensive, visibly relaxed.

"Master, please speak your mind!"

Lynn gave a nod and instructed, "Divert two hundred individuals from the workshop to engage in the creation of woven goods using barley roots."

"The primary focus will be on crafting straw hats, straw footwear, and straw mats."

These three items will serve to protect the farmers from the harsh midday sun each day.

This measure is expected to alleviate their physical strain and, consequently, expedite the barley harvesting process.

Yimini affirmed with a decisive nod, "Understood, Master."

"I shall return to the workshop immediately and arrange for the personnel reassignment."

It had not been long since Lynn had transferred seven hundred individuals from the three thousand workers engaged in the Red Brick House expansion to his workshop.

Imparting the skills for embroidering composite armor within a limited timeframe presented a significant challenge.

However, tasking them, predominantly peasants, with producing woven goods was deemed entirely feasible.

Lynn acknowledged her response.

After briefly inquiring about the progress of the composite armor production, he permitted Yimini to depart.

The current hour had not yet reached the closing time for either the blacksmith or textile workshops.

Yimini still had duties to attend to back at the workshop, overseeing the primary operations.

After a moment of rest on a nearby bench.

Lynn, accompanied by Red, returned to the castle.

...

The following morning.

Lynn awoke with the early sun.

Upon opening his eyes, Janet’s silhouette was the first thing that greeted his sight.

Owing to the steadily climbing temperatures.

Even during the night and early morning hours, the ambient temperature remained around twenty degrees Celsius.

This was particularly noticeable with Janet in close proximity.

The two of them were covered by no more than a thin silk sheet.

Consequently.

Janet’s alluring curves were fully discernible to his gaze.

The lightweight blanket draped over her seemed to barely graze her form, emphasizing the rounded and smooth contours of her front.

With each gentle breath Janet took, the fabric subtly shifted.

Lynn’s attention then drifted downwards.

Her delicate waist, narrowing as her legs drew up.

A shapely hip, appearing even more pronounced and exuding a smooth allure.

Full and voluptuous, yet remarkably free from any hint of excessive weight or heaviness!

Further still, her pair of long, fair legs, possessing exquisitely smooth lines.

Even when drawn up and intertwined, they retained an undeniably captivating charm.

After indulging in a moment of appreciative observation.

Lynn gracefully rose from the bed, donned a clean robe, and exited the bedchamber.

He proceeded to the dining area, where he consumed the breakfast meticulously prepared by Kuisi.

Accompanied by Red, Lynn departed the castle, setting a course for the Lord’s Square.

Amidst the respectful salutations of the townsfolk, Lynn traversed past a series of Red Brick Houses, finally reaching the Lord’s Square.

From behind him, Red’s voice cut through the air, serving as a reminder.

"Master, a caravan is approaching."

Heeding Red’s alert, Lynn turned his gaze towards the outskirts of the town.

Just as Red had indicated.

Amongst the recently harvested barley fields.

A line of carriages was making its way along the lime-dusted road, heading directly towards the Lord’s Square.

Lynn acknowledged with a slight nod, proceeding forward with steady steps, positioning himself in the Lord's Square to await their arrival.

While Lynn stood in anticipation, George also approached from a distance.

Coming to stand beside Lynn, George offered a respectful greeting, "Master."

Lynn responded with a subtle nod.

Moments later.

The carriages, having navigated past the fields, entered the bustling Lord’s Square.

At the vanguard of the carriage procession, Boer dismounted his steed with practiced agility, striding purposefully towards Lynn.

Prior to reaching the Lord's Square, Boer had already spotted Master Lynn awaiting his arrival.

Positioning himself before Lynn, Boer executed a customary merchant's bow, his words imbued with deference.

"Master Lynn, Boer has arrived with another consignment of goods for you!"

Lynn acknowledged this with a nod, offering praise, "Indeed, Mr. Boer is my most steadfast partner!"

In contrast to other itinerant merchants who visited his domain at intervals of one or several months.

Boer was the sole individual who consistently delivered a diverse range of provisions to his territory.

Listening to Lynn’s commendation, Boer responded with a modest smile.

He remarked, "Lynn, you truly need not be so formal."

"Boer can genuinely state, without exaggeration, that it is due to Master Lynn’s unwavering support that Boer stands where he is today."

Lynn gave a slight nod, sensing the genuine sentiment conveyed in Boer’s expression and words.

Following the brief exchange of pleasantries, Boer glanced back towards his accompanying carriage team and commenced his direct explanation.

"Master Lynn, this shipment consists primarily of provisions for you!"

"Thirty thousand pounds of barley, and an additional twenty thousand pounds of wheat!"

"However, there is one crucial detail I must clarify for Master Lynn... This grain comprises the surplus stock from the previous year's harvest."

Lynn's brow arched subtly.

Just as he prepared to interject, Boer preempted him, continuing his explanation.

“Perhaps it’s due to a certain lord hoarding a substantial amount of grain, or maybe it’s because the summer harvest is commencing this year, leading to fresh grain appearing.” “Despite the gradual influx of grain into the market, prices persist at an elevated level!” “Just like barley, the market price holds steady at two pounds for a single penny; wheat, however, is priced even higher, demanding two pence for just one pound!” Lynn gave a nod, remaining silent. With the grain market prices continuing to be unrealistically high, he was not taken aback. The assassination of Charlemagne VI, the former Emperor of the Kaladi Empire, had intensified the already strained internal situation within the Empire, causing further clandestine currents to surface. The power struggle between the two Princes could be described as virtually imminent!”
