Celeste confronts Crystal White about her obsessive pursuit of Ethan Barnes. Crystal declares her undying love and accuses Celeste of not loving Ethan enough. Celeste hints at a secret, eventually telling Crystal that Ethan is disabled due to an injury from another woman, resulting in a sexless marriage.

“Crystal, if you insist on marrying him, you better be prepared to be a widow for life, because Ethan isn’t a real man anymore.”

Crystal stood frozen in place, her eyes wide open, forgetting to breathe.

Ethan actually has issues in that regard? He’s not a real man anymore?

Crystal had an extreme hero worship for Ethan, believing he was flawless, madly infatuated with him. Now, this news struck her like a bolt from the blue, creating an irreparable crack and flaw in her perfect image of Ethan.

Crystal couldn’t accept it. She recalled Ethan’s singularly handsome face, and his wickedly strong muscles, like a lurking panther in the forest, full of attack power.

There’s no way he could have problems in that area.

She liked Ethan, often fantasized about what it would be like to be with him. She even once knocked on Ethan’s door at midnight, and now Celeste tells her this.

Crystal’s face turned pale.

Women understand women well. Celeste knew Crystal cared about this, and she pretended to sigh sadly, “Crystal, I didn’t want to tell you this either, after all, it’s so hard to speak of, but Ethan isn’t up to it. If you keep causing a fuss, I’ll have him go to the hospital for a check-up, and the truth will naturally come out. You won’t gain anything.”

“And, are you really sure about such an Ethan?”

Celeste’s profoundly probing question left Crystal at a loss about what to do. At this moment, steady footsteps were heard outside the door, “Boss, you’re here, sis-in-law is inside talking to Crystal.”

Ethan stood tall with long legs outside the door. Hearing that Celeste was inside, his handsome brows furrowed. Why was she here?

There was nothing to say to Crystal. The mere thought of Crystal made Ethan’s eyes flash with dark anger, wishing this woman would just disappear.

Daring to shamelessly cling to him, this was indeed the first time Ethan had met someone like Crystal.

Ethan lifted his leg and kicked the hospital room door open.

With a boom, the door swung open.

The two women inside the hospital room looked up at him.

Ethan walked up to Celeste, reached out, and pulled her in front of him, “Why did you come here?”

“Oh, I just came over to say a few words to Crystal.”

Ethan shot a cold sidelong glance at Crystal, “Crystal, do you think I’m a pushover you can manipulate at will? Hurry up and tell your old parents to roll back home!”

If it were any other time, Crystal would have adored his domineering and strong-willed demeanor, but thinking of what Celeste said about him no longer being a man, his image fell straight to the bottom.

Crystal looked at him, “Ethan, you should leave, I don’t want to marry you anymore. I won’t cling to you in the future.”

Ethan’s sharp brows furrowed, and his first thought was what new trouble Crystal was stirring, considering she had clung to him persistently before.

“I don’t want to stay here anymore either. I’ll apply for a work transfer. When the time comes, just sign it, and we won’t see each other again.”

She didn’t seem to be faking it, which puzzled Ethan. “Are you serious?”

“Of course I’m serious, Ethan. I did like you, but after hearing what your wife said, I don’t like you anymore.”

What did Celeste say?

Ethan’s sharp gaze swept to Celeste, then he reached out his big hand to hold her soft hand, leading her away.
