Ethan Barnes returns home and requests Celeste Linden cook for him. While she is preparing noodles, he surprises her with a jade bracelet, similar to one given to their daughter. Celeste initially tries to refuse the gift and maintain distance, but Ethan becomes more insistent, especially when their daughter, Danielle, appears. He expresses his frustration with her silence and claims she only acts this way because he likes her.

Celeste Linden shivered slightly, did he just say he liked her?

That’s right, he had said the same thing to her before, claiming she took advantage of his liking for her. But now he had amnesia, and yet he liked her again?

Celeste looked at him suspiciously, "Ethan Barnes, are you really suffering from amnesia, or have you regained your memory?"

Ethan raised his refined brow, "Of course, I have amnesia, there’s no doubt about it. But lately, I’ve been dreaming frequently about some fragments from the past."

"What kind of fragments, have you dreamt about the past?" This would mean he’s close to regaining his memory.

Seeing her eyes light up, Ethan smiled and said, "I dreamt about you. I dreamt about us tossing and turning in bed together. Your body was so soft, I felt like I could break it with a gentle twist..."

His tone was extremely suggestive.

Celeste’s face turned red instantly; she truly thought he dreamt about past events, not realizing what he actually dreamt about was these.

"I’ve dreamt about a lot more. Do you want to hear? How about I tell you now and we reminisce together, you and me in different places..."

"Enough, stop talking, I don’t want to hear it!" Celeste immediately cut him off.

Ethan looked innocent, "Why don’t you want to hear it, a moment ago you were quite interested."

"..."

She didn’t expect him to say those things.

"Go away, the noodles are ready." Celeste pushed him aside.

This time, Ethan let her go, "Okay, I’ll go get the bowls and utensils."

Celeste prepared a large bowl of noodles, made with chicken soup as a base, with small green vegetables and golden fried eggs added in, presenting a full array of colors, aroma, and taste.

"Smells so good." Ethan said happily.

"Do you not have noodles outside? The ones outside should taste better than those at home, right?" It’s said that wildflowers smell sweeter than garden flowers, he must prefer the ones from outside.

Ethan didn’t understand her underlying meaning at all; he just started eating the noodles.

Celeste felt she was being a bit neurotic, every sentence she said was filled with intense jealousy. She really didn’t like herself like that, so she stopped speaking immediately.

...

After dinner, the family of three returned to the room; Danielle was asleep, and Celeste lay down as well. Ethan glanced at her, "I’m going inside to take a shower."

"Mm." Celeste nodded.

But Ethan didn’t leave, he looked at her passionately, "Come in and scrub my back."

"...No!" Celeste felt he was up to no good, and immediately refused.

Ethan snorted and went inside by himself.

Celeste closed her eyes and started to sleep. Soon, Ethan’s voice was heard from inside, "Celeste, come over!"

He was calling her from inside.

Celeste immediately put cotton in Danielle’s ears, to prevent her daughter from waking up, then closed her eyes and continued sleeping, completely ignoring him.

Ethan waited inside and when no one came, he knew she didn’t want to come. He grumbled as he finished his shower, put on his pajama, and came out; Celeste had already fallen asleep.

Such a heartless person.

However, being asleep was good.

Ethan mischievously curled his lips and then reached out to pull her into his embrace. Sleeping Celeste turned over and snuggled into his arms.

Ethan paused, held her beautiful little face, and deeply kissed her.

This time, he kissed her hard, as if punishing her, sealing her small mouth to prevent her from breathing.

Celeste started dreaming again; she dreamt about Ethan pressing down on her.
