Willow Crawford answered the phone, "Hello, Mommy... okay, see you tomorrow morning... alright, bye-bye."
The mother and daughter ended their conversation, and Willow smiled, "Sis, my mom is coming tomorrow. I have something to discuss with my mom. Can you help watch over Joy? Let Joy play with Danielle."
"Sure." Celeste Linden nodded, "Willow, don’t worry, leave it to me."
Celeste took Danielle back to the room, while Willow and Ethan Ashworth went to bed. Morgan Ashworth hadn’t come back yet, so the mother and son went to sleep first.
While Willow was half-asleep, she felt the door open—Morgan Ashworth had returned.
She opened her eyes briefly, but was too sleepy to keep them open, so she continued sleeping.
After a while, the bed beside her dipped as Morgan, having taken a shower, climbed into bed and hugged her from behind.
His kisses landed on her small face, planting several smooches.
Willow snuggled into the pillow, her voice soft and cuddly, "Honey, don’t mess around... mmm, so sleepy..."
Morgan turned her over to face him, cradling her in his arms, "Then you go ahead and sleep."
With that, he kissed her on her red lips.
Willow was half-awake due to his actions, her small hands hooking around his neck as she playfully complained, "President Ashworth, haven’t you been busy all day? How come you have so much energy?"
Morgan flipped her over, pinning her beneath him, "Danielle’s been around these past couple of days, and I haven’t had a chance to touch you. Do you think I’m a saint?"
Was that a complaint in his tone?
Willow laughed and flipped them over, pinning him down. She tucked her curls behind her ear, her eyes full of teasing allure as she looked at him, "Poor President, let me make it up to you right now."
...
The next morning.
Willow still couldn’t wake up, and little Joy beside her said helplessly, "Mommy, why do you sleep like a little pig and never get up in the morning?"
Willow, "..."
Looks like it won’t be long before her glorious habit of sleeping in every day gets out as public knowledge.
Morgan was full of energy. He patted little Joy’s head, "Go play by yourself, don’t disturb Mommy, let her sleep a little longer."
"Okay." Ethan Ashworth went to play by himself.
Morgan sat on the bed, kissing Willow on the forehead, "Honey, I’m off to work. I’ll come back early tonight and take you all out for a big dinner."
Willow mumbled in response, "Mm-hmm."
"I’m off then." Morgan left.
Willow slept a little longer until a string of melodious phone rings sounded—a call was coming in from Serena Sterling.
Willow suddenly remembered her plans, sitting up in bed abruptly; oh no, she almost forgot her appointment with Mommy and was going to be late.
Willow immediately got up to wash up and rushed out as fast as she could.
She initially wanted to tell Morgan about it, but realizing he was already at work, she decided against disturbing him.
When he comes back, she can give him a big surprise.
Meanwhile, Morgan was at work. At lunchtime, the secretary brought in his lunch, and he put down his work to call Willow.
He wanted to see if she and their son ate properly and what they had for lunch.
Morgan realized he’s been especially clingy lately; besides work, all he could think about were Willow and his son.
However, when he called, the other end responded with a cold and mechanical female voice, "Sorry, the number you have dialed is currently switched off."
