Substitute Bride: Utterly Pampered by Her Billionaire Husband Chapter 1641: Willow Crawford, Today Is Our Wedding Day
Previously on Substitute Bride: Utterly Pampered by Her Billionaire Husband...
Willow Crawford locked herself in her room, not eating or drinking, and not wanting to go out. She stared blankly at the ceiling, her heart aching unbearably.
Is he married now?
Is Vanessa Willowb standing by his side, receiving everyone’s blessings?
Did he kiss her?
Willow shook her head, forcing herself not to think about these things, not wanting to drive herself insane.
At that moment, a melodic ringtone echoed—there was a phone call.
It was from Morgan Ashworth.
The name "Morgan Ashworth" flashed on the phone screen, and Willow’s pupils constricted sharply. She couldn’t understand why he would have time to call her now—wasn’t he getting married today?
Willow put down the phone, not intending to answer.
But the ringtone persisted, relentless, as if he would keep calling as long as she didn’t pick up.
Willow pressed the button to answer the call, "Hello, President Ashworth."
Morgan’s low, hoarse voice came through, "Hah, Willow, I thought you didn’t want to take my call."
"President Ashworth, today’s your big day. I’m here to wish you a happy marriage and lots of children."
A few seconds of silence followed, "Willow, you really are something. If you’re going to bless me, it’s insincere over the phone. Come over now, give me your blessings in person at my wedding."
He wants her at the wedding?
Willow clenched her fists, "Morgan Ashworth, don’t push it. I’m not going to your wedding!"
"Willow, are you coming or not?"
"Not coming!"
Willow abruptly hung up the phone.
She realized he’d become more and more excessive. Usually, he let her watch him flaunt his relationship with Vanessa Willowb, but now he wanted his ex-wife to attend and bless him—didn’t he fear she might send him off in person?
Willow pulled the covers over herself.
Half-asleep, she heard strange noises outside, like the sound of a fight. Willow was startled—who could have broken into her place? It couldn’t be something sinister, could it?
Willow immediately threw off the covers and got out of bed, opening her bedroom door.
She saw her people lying unconscious on the ground.
What happened?
Willow gasped sharply. Just as she was about to hit the alarm, two burly men in black appeared in front of her, "Princess Willow, please come with us."
Willow kept backing away, looking for something to defend herself with, "Who are you? Breaking into a private house like this is against the law!"
"Princess Willow, we won’t harm you, please don’t resist." The men in black blindfolded her and shoved her into a van.
Willow was a bit of a mess, struggling in the car but to no avail. She didn’t know how long it took, but the vehicle eventually stopped, and she was taken out.
"Who are you people? What is your purpose?" Willow shouted.
At that moment, one of the men in black removed the blindfold from her eyes. Willow blinked and looked up, seeing a tall and striking figure.
It was Morgan Ashworth!
Morgan had abducted her!
Willow stared at him in shock, "Morgan Ashworth, what do you mean by this? What are you trying to do? Shouldn’t you be getting married right now?"
Morgan slowly approached her, standing tall and looking down at her, "Willow, today is our wedding."
