"Would you like to join us upstairs?
Darren and Henry’s families felt their eyes widen in shock when Jason said this! The families both knew that the entire top floor had been rented out by some super-rich person, and that was why no one was allowed to go up there. But they never thought that it would be Jason who rented it out!
Darren and Henry’s families had been doing these small dinners about once or twice every few months as a way to keep in touch! And since both Darren and Henry were friends with Jason, they had thought about sending an invite to Jason many times before, but they could never do it because they always saw that Jason was very busy! It was either that Jason was away from Earth for one mission or another, or he was traveling around the world to try and form diplomatic relationships with all the other countries out there! None of them could build up the audacity to send a dinner invite to the most important man in the world, so the fact that Jason had invited them to join him was very shocking!
"Yeah, let’s do it, boss!"
Darren was obviously the first person to speak up, but Darren’s mother hushed him, and his father asked if it was really okay.
"We wouldn’t want to impose on your family dinner or anything."
Gina smiled from the side and spoke up.
"You wouldn’t be imposing at all. You’re Jason’s friends, and that automatically makes you a family friend, so you’re more than welcome."
The families all smiled as they heard this, and they finally agreed to join in. Jason nodded, and he told them to come along as he began making his way upstairs to join the rest of his family. The upper floor of the Seraphina restaurant was somehow even more impressive than downstairs! The entire floor had been rearranged into one large family-sized dinner table with enough chairs around it for everyone! The ceiling had a large diamond chandelier that reflected a golden light across the room!
There were more than ten servers standing at the far end of the room with silver platters in their hands, and there was a man wearing a clean black suit standing at the end of the stairs! This man was the manager of the Seraphina restaurant, and he bowed respectfully the moment Jason and the others appeared.
"It’s an honor to host you at the Seraphina restaurant. My name is Richard Cale, and I am the manager of this restaurant. I hope you have a very eventful evening, and if you have any inquiries, then I will be available at your convenience."
The manager gestured towards the table and guided the family towards it calmly.
"Very fancy."
Fiona spoke up with a pleased expression on her face as she looked around the restaurant. Fiona and Betsha were already used to high-class restaurants since they were both royals, but they couldn’t deny that the Seraphina was just as fancy as anything they had back in their world!
The family all sat at the long table with Jason at the head on one side and Mira on the other side. Gina and Maya were sitting on Jason’s right and left, while Fiona and Betsha were on Mira’s right and left; then the other seats were taken by the other family members randomly. Once they were seated, a band began to play soft music from the side, and the servers brought out the meals.
"So, how’s school? Is Jared still bothering you?"
Jason spoke up towards Darren while getting ready to eat, and Darren’s face brightened as he quickly began to talk.
"Not at all! Jared’s actually been bragging to the entire school that he’s friends with you! It’s hilarious cause everyone remembers how you smacked him the last time you came to class...!"
Darren was extremely excited, and he spoke very animatedly while explaining all the things that had been happening with him recently, and Jason just smiled indulgently as he listened. The other family members at the table slowly got lost in their own conversations as well, and it wasn’t long before the entire table was chattering happily as they enjoyed the meal! Even though Henry and Darren’s families were practically strangers to the rest of the Marcs, all the members of Jason’s family understood how to treat guests properly and make them comfortable since they were royals and were used to entertaining guests, so it wasn’t long before everyone felt familiar at the table!
The night continued with three full-course meals and dessert. Gina kept feeding Jason some of her food since she wasn’t feeling too hungry, and Jason didn’t mind since he was more than capable of eating everything. Henry was surprised when everyone at the table was able to immediately tell that she was a girl, and she spent most of the dinner being grilled by Georgia about why she was dressing like a boy. Hendrix spoke with Darren and Henry’s fathers about business and commerce, and they all shared a lot of knowledge on what their experiences had taught them, and Mira spent time with all the mothers as they spoke about various things!
Janet and Stella spent most of their time with Maya and Kai, and Janet couldn’t help but wish that Francis were here so she could be talking to him. Janet and Francis had grown a lot closer since the Blue Gate Raid, and Janet was finding herself wishing he was around more often these days. Janet wasn’t a fool, so she already knew that Francis was in love with her, but for a long time she couldn’t see herself returning any romantic feelings because of what her first boyfriend had done to her. Just like all the members of the Marc family, Janet was the sort of person who loved extremely hard and completely! If a Marc falls for you, then they would move the world just to try and make you happy! So Janet had been really crushed when her first relationship didn’t work.
But now that enough time had passed, Janet felt like she could give her heart to someone else, and Janet couldn’t think of anyone better than Francis.
As the night progressed, there were many officials and politicians who came upstairs to pay their respects to Jason. Since the news of Jason’s presence at the Seraphina restaurant had already spread across the entire country at this point, it felt like more and more people were rushing here just so they could talk to him or take a picture for political ambitions!
Jason did his best to entertain as many of the politicians as he could, but after a while, he just told the restaurant not to let anyone else upstairs since they were taking up too much time. Jason just wanted to spend time with his friends and family, and he wasn’t interested in thinking about political drama right now!
Thankfully, the restaurant was more than happy to follow Jason’s orders, and the rest of the night continued without any incident.

"A ticket costs five gold coins. I won’t let anyone through unless they can pay the full amount! If you can’t pay, then leave the line and stop blocking others!"
Within a large shipping yard, a large slug creature with two long eyes on its head and a small shirt over its slug body spoke as it collected coins from the people standing in a straight line. Behind the slug creature, there was a large intergalactic spaceship being loaded with various boxes and goods. The people in the line were all waiting to get a ticket so they would be allowed to pass through and enter the ship.
