Strongest Necromancer System Chapter 843: Don’t Ever Say Something So Disgusting Again

"Oh..."
Janet was taken aback by Gina's unexpected monologue. It was so unconventional, making Janet realize Gina was truly a unique woman. Most women would get angry if their partner even looked at another woman, so Gina's nonchalance about Jason being with others was astonishing.
Janet voiced her curiosity:
"S-So, is it only women, or do you both permit anyone you both agree on to join the relationship? What if another man asked to be with you?"
The sudden wave of pure disgust and repulsion that washed over Gina's face at Janet's question made Janet instinctively recoil. It was clear not only had the idea of another man joining their relationship never occurred to Gina, but the mere thought was so repulsive that her expression turned sickly.
Gina responded with utter revulsion:
"Please, never say something so vile again. I have no issue with other women joining us, but there are boundaries I will not cross. I'd rather tear out my own tongue and perish than allow another man to touch me."
'Holy hell, she's serious.'
Janet's eyes widened in shock at the absolute earnestness in Gina's gaze! Gina would genuinely prefer death over another man being with her! Suddenly, Janet felt rather foolish for asking such a question. She had assumed Jason and Gina's relationship was wide open, allowing them to be with anyone they pleased. However, Janet now understood it wasn't like that at all. Rather, it was a relationship where Gina welcomed additional sister-wives to expand their family. If it was that kind of arrangement, Janet felt it might actually work!
Janet offered an apologetic smile, her voice softening:
"I'm sorry for saying something so foolish, Gina. I didn't mean to upset you."
A calming sigh escaped Gina.
"No, it's alright. I understand it can be a bit confusing. But this is simply the kind of relationship I have chosen with Jason. It is our decision, and we are content with it."
Janet nodded in agreement. She looked up as the pilot announced their imminent landing in Texas. Gina gently ran her hand through Jason's hair, whispering for him to wake up. However, unbeknownst to either Gina or Janet, Jason's consciousness was entirely absent from the jet. At that moment, Jason was utilizing his [Eye of the King] skill to inhabit the body of one of his subordinates, observing a battle within a vast Orange Gate initiated by one of the many country guilds.
This particular group hailed from the Japanese Guild. Jason vividly recalled the intense selection process that had chosen the hundred superhumans forming the Japanese Guild. An entire tournament had been held, ranking all superhumans based on their combat prowess. Jason had been invited to officiate the final match, where the two strongest superhumans would vie for the number one spot. The duel was between two S-Rank individuals on the cusp of SS-Rank: Satoshi, a man capable of conjuring blades from his mana, and Mai, a woman with the ability to manipulate vines and roots as weaponry! Jason found it difficult to fully appreciate the fight, as both combatants seemed exceptionally weak from his perspective. Nevertheless, he couldn't deny their skill. In the end, Satoshi emerged victorious, as Mai couldn't match the speed of his relentless slashes!
Currently, Mai was leading a contingent comprising three A-Rank and one S-Rank superhumans through an Orange Gate, aiming to conquer it within a single day. Two Legion subordinates accompanied them: a formidable Moonlight Wolf and an Ironbladed Falcon, whose piercing screeches echoed through the air. It was through this falcon that Jason was observing the unfolding events. The gate they entered was known as the [Forest of One-Eyed Tigers], teeming with large tigers capable of unleashing mana slashes with their claws. From Jason's vantage point, the tigers were mere fodder. He watched as the group effortlessly annihilated the gate's inhabitants! Typically, the boss of an Orange Gate possessed strength around the S-Rank level, meaning most lesser monsters were only B-Rank to high A-Rank. Engaging these lesser foes was child's play for a high-level S-Rank like Mai! Furthermore, operating within a forest, Mai's natural element, significantly amplified her advantage!
The confrontation with the horde of monsters concluded within a mere few hours due to their sheer numbers. Currently, Mai found herself engaged in a solitary battle against the Gate's boss, while her companions busied themselves with collecting the mana stones and remaining vigilant for any approaching beasts. The boss materialized as a colossal Tiger, standing a formidable eight feet tall, its maw adorned with large, piercing teeth. Its formidable claws, crafted from what appeared to be black obsidian, possessed the terrifying ability to launch mana blades, and its agility was so profound that pinning it down seemed an insurmountable task! The tiger’s movements through the forest were akin to an acrobat's, and Jason observed with keen interest as Mai unleashed multiple root attacks in its direction! The roots snaked towards the tiger’s feet, yet the beast effortlessly leaped among the trees with even greater speed, retaliating with a claw swipe that propelled four potent mana blades directly at Mai! Mai raised a substantial root to intercept the assault, and Jason’s eyes narrowed in a flicker of mild disappointment! Did Mai not realize this was precisely what the creature intended for her to do?
The instant Mai lowered the massive root, the tiger was already upon her, its cavernous mouth gaping towards her neck. However, Mai executed an expert dodge and, with a swift movement, ensnared the tiger’s hind legs with a root, flinging it forcefully back into a nearby tree!
SLAM!
The tiger emitted a guttural growl as it tore through the restraining root, then charged towards the tree once more! Mai demonstrated considerable skill in combat, but Jason could discern her tendency to rely too heavily on the defensive aspects of her innate gift. Despite her S-Rank status, Mai harbored a pronounced fear of injury, leading her to excessively reinforce her defenses against any attack that posed a threat to her well-being. This very same approach had led to her defeat against Satoshi in the previous tournament. At this juncture, Mai desperately needed to devise a strategy to restrict the tiger’s movement, confining it to a specific area and compelling it to move in a predetermined direction, thereby facilitating its capture or demise!
And as if sensing Jason’s very thoughts, Mai abruptly stomped her foot onto the ground, raising both hands sharply into the air! Thousands upon thousands of roots erupted from the earth, commencing an encirclement of both Mai and the tiger. The tiger’s expression shifted to one of evident panic as it grasped Mai’s intention to trap it within the botanical confines! The creature desperately sought an escape through a perceived opening on one side of the root prison, but this was precisely the scenario Mai had orchestrated. With a swift slash of her hand through the air, she commanded a sharp vine to descend from above, falling like a deadly guillotine!
SLASH!
The vine severed the tiger’s neck cleanly, and Jason allowed a smile of pride to grace his lips as he witnessed the beast’s bifurcated body plummet to the ground. Not bad at all. Jason then instructed his subordinates to assist the superhumans in gathering the mana stones and to ensure their protection during their return journey, acknowledging their probable exhaustion.
'If anything unusual presents itself, inform me without delay.'
