Strongest Necromancer System Chapter 737: Council Meeting

"Do you have your water bottle? And the shield artefact I gave you? Extra food and water are packed in the storage rune too. Use the signal if you need anything whatsoever. And— "
"Stella, stop. You must quit fretting like this."
Gina let out a soft laugh as Stella fussed over her just like a mother hen. Stella shot Gina a frown, insisting she clearly wasn’t concerned enough, while Gina shook her head, highly amused. Stella kept worrying about Gina, and suddenly Gina chuckled upon realizing this was precisely how she behaved with Jason. She’d pester him nonstop until he grew tired of it, ensuring he carried everything necessary before heading off.
’I miss him.’
That notion crossed Gina’s mind as she gazed sadly at the ground. Spotting Gina’s look, Stella rested a hand on her shoulder and declared:
"No need to fret over other things, your highness. Just concentrate on returning safely. The prince will surely delight in hearing of your exploits when you reunite."
Gina offered a grateful smile, gathered her resolve, then stepped away from the campsite toward the Eternal Wind Forest entrance. A sizable contingent of soldiers awaited there, bowing deeply to Gina as they parted to let her reach Farlow beyond. Farlow appeared to have lingered since last night! Intense determination burned in his eyes, showing he craved mission completion far more urgently than Gina. She grasped his desperation fully and saw no point in soothing him, knowing she’d feel identical in his position.
"Ready?"
Farlow inquired sternly, and Gina nodded, eyes fixed on the shadowy woods. Eternal Wind Forest trees towered immensely, their broad leaves forming a thick dark canopy that blocked views beyond mere meters inside! This promised a pitch-black trek. Light artefacts were off-limits to avoid luring magic beasts, so advanced vision would guide them. Fortunately, both Gina and Farlow pierced hundreds of meters through darkness. As the spirit user, Gina led, seeking the optimal route to minimize spirit clashes.
"Stay safe, your majesty. We await tidings of your triumph eagerly."
An elven guard captain spoke from nearby—a towering figure with robust frame and flowing white hair. He bowed to Farlow and Gina before adding:
"Signal if you require assistance; we’ll rush to your side. We pray for your victory."
"We pray for your victory!"
The soldiers chorused as one, and Farlow gave a single nod before striding into the forest alongside Gina. While advancing, Gina glanced at her left shoulder, glaring at the unseen presence above it.
’Won’t you emerge and assist me?’
Silence met Gina’s fairy companion, prompting an eye roll from her. Gina had pleaded with Ulyn since yesterday for mission aid, yet Ulyn ignored her completely. Gina sensed Ulyn perched on her shoulder, but clearly, Ulyn refused involvement. Ulyn would prove troublesome for ages!
Gina whipped sideways, palm raised!
Slash!
Wind blade burst from her hand, cleaving air to sever a stealthy giant lizard’s neck from the flank! The beast crumpled, and Farlow pulsed mana as a deterrent. Forest monsters fell short of TITAN Rank, so Farlow’s TITAN Rank II aura would deter approaches. Gina acknowledged his move with a nod, then gestured east, stating:
"Spirit energy clusters that way, so let’s go there first. Early day means noon arrival. With luck, we wrap this today."
Farlow agreed with a nod, and wind magic enveloped them as they launched skyward, plunging deeper into the woods!

"No one informed Farlow of today’s gathering?"
In the shadowy chamber hosting Council of Nine and One sessions, six members sat tensely around the grand stage, awaiting stragglers. The speaker was Angel race leader and second seat, Rak’hael, scowling deeply with chin propped on hands, eyes boring into Farlow’s vacant spot. Nearby, fourth seat and Draconian leader Baron Skarr snorted irritably.
"Typical elves—their head can’t even arrive punctually."
"Farlow messaged earlier; family issue bars his attendance."
First seat C’thlyanu interjected, prompting another scoff from Baron Skarr as he reclined. Today’s council addressed the Primordial Expanse’s hot topic for days. Despite suppression efforts, Machina world attacks leaked everywhere. Dubbed the Machina Massacre, it buzzed across the expanse.
Theories swirled on causes and culprits, but Jason Marc’s name dominated. His key role was undisputed, motive unknown, yet all eyes fixed on the council’s response! Though Machina faced widespread disdain, their domain leadership demanded Jason face grave consequences for striking a Primordial Expanse pillar! Thus, the council convened.
