Jason analyzes his new necromancy skills, discovering a powerful debuff ability and a guaranteed hit technique that he plans to exploit through strategic rotations. Despite his progress, he feels deeply depleted by his separation from Gina, marking the midpoint of their week-long period of silence. Meanwhile, in Arandelle, a miserable Gina struggles to cope with the distance while preparing for her upcoming training at the Lake of Remembrance.

Gina rose from her bed with a mournful sigh, prompting Stella to smile, pat her back, and encourage her to remain resilient.

"I am certain the prince yearns for your presence just as deeply as you do. You only have to endure three more days before you may reunite with him, so please, be strong until then."

Gina turned to offer Stella a smile, then stood up with a sudden burst of energy. Grabbing Stella’s hand, she insisted her companion come along so they could enjoy a bath together.

"W-what? Your Highness, I am still busy with my chores!"

"Oh, forget about those things! I am destined to be solitary in that garden for the next dozen hours, so provide me with some company for now. I need someone to talk to. I shall recount all the embarrassing tales from when Jason and I were children! Hehehe~"

Gina let out a mischievous chuckle as she pulled Stella toward the bathroom. Stella simply smiled, following in her wake. Aware that Gina was merely attempting to bridge the gap until she could see Jason once more, Stella was more than happy to oblige.

Later that morning, Gina strode toward the castle gates adorned in her royal garments, still radiating the freshness of her earlier bath. Her hair had grown to extend down to her thighs, appearing like a cascaded river of red as she moved. Even devoid of jewelry or cosmetics, her beauty was luminous under the morning sun. The elven folk were renowned as some of the most aesthetic beings in existence, with the women possessing figures and faces that could challenge any mortal model. Yet, even among such otherworldly creatures, Gina maintained a captivating presence that drew every eye as she traversed the grounds.

As she neared the gates, however, her gaze wandered toward a distant tower. It was the same structure she had inquired about with Farlow long ago; she recalled his expression cooling as he dismissed it as trivial. Despite this, an inexplicable curiosity regarding the tower's contents burned within her. It resembled something plucked from a fairytale, and as someone who had cherished such stories in her youth, she could not suppress the wonder filling her heart. After glancing around to confirm no guards were watching, she released a subtle flow of mana, allowing her to hover off the ground and drift toward the tower. She navigated past various trees and brush until she stood only a few hundred meters away, at which point she ducked behind a tree upon hearing voices. Peering out with youthful curiosity, she observed several guards stationed at the entrance. She found it suspicious that they appeared so relaxed and wondered if they were truly guarding nothing of consequence. Undeterred, Gina activated her Sage abilities, allowing her senses to interweave with the surrounding wind.

As a sage, Gina’s presence was entirely imperceptible to standard magical detection. Even while using the wind to probe the area near the guards, they remained oblivious to any intrusion. Closing her eyes, she scanned the entire tower. As her senses climbed higher, she broke into a grin when she detected a draft flowing through a window on the rear side. Steering clear of the guards' sightlines, she ascended rapidly toward the aperture. The tower stood over three hundred meters tall, yet she reached the summit in seconds without alerting those below. Gripping the window ledge, she peered into the chamber.

"Hello, love. It has been quite a while."

Gina’s eyes widened at the sound of Farlow’s voice. He was seated in a chair beside a luxurious bed, his head bowed, cradling someone’s hand in his own. As she caught sight of the figure on the bed, she nearly gasped; she was looking upon the most beautiful woman she had ever seen. During her travels, she had encountered many fair-faced women, particularly among the elves, but this individual’s grace transcended them all. The truth was unmistakable.

'The Elven Queen. What misfortune has befallen her?'

Gina observed Farlow, noting the profound sorrow etched onto his features as he gripped his wife’s hand. Her own heart twisted in empathy, an image of Jason flashing into her mind. Was this the agony Jason felt when she had perished? Watching as Farlow tenderly brushed his hand across the Queen’s cheek, Gina realized she had no right to be there. She turned to retreat, but her heart skipped a beat when Farlow’s eyes suddenly snapped toward her position. Gina gasped, darting away from the window with frantic speed.

'No, did he see me? He looked right at me! Oh no, I am finished! Wait... why am I fleeing like a child caught raiding the pantry? Ugh, now I look even more guilty! What is wrong with me?'

Gina slowed her flight as the thought struck, sighing with amusement and covering her face in chagrin. She realized that, after all this time, she had come to view Farlow as a wise patriarch—a mentor to whom she turned for guidance. To be caught spying on him felt like being a daughter discovered by her father. She laughed at the absurdity of the situation, deciding she would address the matter with him after her training.

Gina made her way to the Lake of Remembrance, humming as two young girls awaited her arrival. One was Gerael, the maid who had retrieved her the previous day, and standing beside her was a tiny elf girl with flowing blonde hair, brilliant blue eyes, and a round, rosy face that made her incredibly darling. This was Princess Heriet, the youngest of the castle royalty and a girl with whom Gina had shared dinner the night before. Upon spotting Gina, the princess waved with intense excitement until the elder girl touched down before her.

"Greetings, Lady Gina! I have been waiting for you!"

The little princess sprinted forward, and Gina lifted her, twirling her around with a beaming smile.

"Little Heriet! I have missed you so dearly! Look at your gorgeous gown—you look so precious today!"

Gina grinned, rubbing her cheek against Heriet’s, who giggled and wrapped her arms around Gina’s neck. The two had bonded instantly over dinner, with the little princess looking up to Gina as if she were a big sister. To Gina, Heriet was simply the most enchanting creature in existence.
