Strongest Necromancer System Chapter 1155: Bring Me My Cargo!
Previously on Strongest Necromancer System...
But unlike most other conquerors who would kill any enemy that they conquer, the overlord was intelligent enough to recognise the importance of having powerful people around him, and that was why he always spared the lives of the most powerful warriors from these worlds, while allowing these powerful warriors to keep their close family and friends with him as well. By doing this, the Overlord not only acquired the strength of these warriors, but he also acquired their loyalty because the warriors would never dare to betray him while their family lived under the Overlord’s command.
The Overlord had been carrying out this process of acquiring power for a long time, but recently, he had started to become more and more paranoid due to the sheer number of people that he had gathered from so many different worlds. The Overlord feared that there would soon be a warrior powerful and charismatic enough to kill him and steal his kingdoms from him, and the Overlord did not want that to happen.
So, the Overlord had thought of a plan. There was only one way to ensure that he never had to fear another warrior rising up to take his throne in the future, and that was by finding a way to always see through the lies of his subordinates.
The Overlord had heard of two siblings living in a distant world. These siblings possessed great power given to them by magic. One of them possessed beauty that could ensnare any mind and force them under her control, and the other possessed eyes that could see through any lies and unveil the whole truth. The Overlord had immediately sent out a mission to the Pit with a handsome reward for whoever could get him these children, and the mercenary group known as the Red Skins were the ones who picked up this important mission.
The Red Skins had sent him a message saying that they would be returning in three days, but that had been four days ago, and the Overlord had not heard anything from them in that time. The Overlord was not happy.
"What did you find from the spies?"
The Supreme Overlord spoke to one of his aides in a rough voice, and the aide bowed his head respectfully. They were currently inside a dark throne room lit only by large torches around the room. Dev’arn was actually a very advanced world, and they possessed technology and science, but the Overlord had decided to keep his throne room dark and undeveloped because he believed it added a layer of intimidation that forced anyone who came in here to be afraid of him. It was a silly mind game, but the Overlord believed in it completely, and no one dared to tell him differently.
The aide spoke up respectfully:
"There has not been any sighting of the Red Skins in multiple days now, Your Grace. Our spies in the Pit say that the Red Skins last docked three days ago, and they entered a bar to have some drinks. But they were seen returning to their ship not long after, and they took off again. That was the last anyone saw of them."
The Overlord narrowed his eyes in annoyance, and a wave of anger began to rise from his body. The only thing that entered the Overlord’s mind at that moment was the fact that the Red Skins had left the Pit and they had still not come to him with his cargo. And this could only mean one thing: The Overlord had been scammed.
A renewed wave of anger rose from the Overlord’s body, and the entire castle shook from the intensity of his anger. If there was one thing that the Overlord hated the most, it was when people tried to scam him. He would tear this entire domain apart to ensure he got what was rightfully his. The Overlord immediately raised his hand and shouted to the room.
"Prepare the battalion and send them out into Hyperspace. The Red Skins believe they can pull the wool over my eyes, but they will rue the day they crossed me. Bring me their heads. All of them. And make sure my cargo is not lost. I want those children here within the week."
The Supreme Overlord’s loud voice reached the ears of hundreds of men who had lined up at the end of the throne room, and all the men raised their hands and put them over their chests in a salute.
"AS THE OVERLORD COMMANDS!"
Their cry rang out over the entire castle, and they immediately filed out to carry out their overlord’s order.
....
[The Distant world of Capri]
Somewhere along the Zeroth Domain was a lawless world filled with monsters and pirates, called Capri. Unlike most worlds in the Zeroth Domain that had gained their reputation because they were always frequented by some of the most twisted people you can imagine, Capri had gained its own reputation because of something entirely different.
Capri was known as the one-time-visit world. The reason for this was simple. The moment you visit Capri once, there was no way you would be able to leave it safely. Capri was a world inhabited by some of the most dangerous creatures and ruthless people in all the Zeroth Domain. There were pirates who were wanted for mass murder. Mercenaries who were responsible for eradicating entire worlds from existence and monsters that had enough power to swallow entire continents whole without any effort.
These monsters and pirates that made this world their home were known to be very territorial. A long time ago, they had all been in a massive war that spanned across the entire world as they tried to claim as much of the land in this world as possible. And now that time had passed, and things had settled down, there were three main factions that existed here. The first faction was the Sea Monsters that ruled every major body of water in this world. These monsters were ruled by a massive kraken the size of an entire city, and they were known to drag anyone unfortunate enough to be on the water down to the bottom of the ocean and feed those unfortunate people to their leader.
The second faction were the beasts that occupied the eastern continent. These beasts were ruthless TITAN and PRIMORDIAL Rank beasts, and they were ruled by a massive golden dragon that lived in the middle of a volcano. And the third faction were the pirates who had occupied the western continent. These Pirates were ruthless killers and murderers, and each of them had enough power to be regarded as either a TITAN Rank or, at most, a PRIMORDIAL Rank I. These killers were ruled by a man who claimed the title of Pirate King, and he was known to spend his time within the massive tower that looked out over the entire western continent. There were rumours that the Pirate King was a former soldier from a massive world in one of the other Domains, and he had come here to escape the people chasing him after he committed a terrible crime. But every single person living in Capri was trying to run away from one thing or another, so no one cared to try and ask the Pirate King what he had done.
Together, these three factions ruled the land, air, and water of Capri, and any traveller unfortunate enough to find themselves within this world would never last through the night before they were either attacked by one of the monsters or abducted by one of the pirates.
