Strongest Necromancer System Chapter 1125: The Apostle of Time

The shadow world vanished, and the lightning bomb grew smaller until it was cancelled out. Ulysses flew up while letting go of Theosis, and Enkidu reversed her Arcane Art as all the animals were sent back to their worlds. Jason, Theosis, and Ulysses all floated back into the destroyed mansion, and the mansion seemed to fix itself back up while the massive tree slowly shrank until it completely vanished! Ulysses vanished through a dimensional tear, and Jason, Enkidu, and Theosis were all in the underground storage room where the fight had begun. The Arcane Art finally cut off, and time returned to normal!

Jason jolted as he realised that he had returned to the storage room, and he frowned in sheer disbelief as he wondered what the hell had just happened!

’I went back in time?’

Jason looked up sharply, and he saw Sicario float to the ground while coughing into his hand! When Sicario brought his hand down, Jason saw that it was stained with blood, and Jason immediately knew that Sicario had paid a heavy price for doing what he just did!

Sicario was the Apostle wielding the Arcane Art of Time! This Arcane Art was widely regarded as the most powerful of all the Arcane Arts simply because of the sheer power it possessed! Although Time was not the most versatile ability, and the ability to control time was seen as something predictable, that did not mean anyone could counter or fight against this power! Time was absolute for all creatures.

But just like every other Arcane Art, there were a lot of disadvantages that came with wielding such a powerful Art. Jason’s shadow Attribute [Land of Lost Shadows] had the consequence of driving the user mad, and if not for Jason’s quick thinking and Esdath’s help, Jason would’ve still been mad even now. The Nature Arcane Art had its own consequences that prevented Enkidu from living a normal life, and the Mind Arcane Art also had its drawback. But none of those consequences compared to the sheer brutality of the Time Art.

The Attribute that Sicario had just used, [Lord of Time], allowed Sicario to reverse time within a region to a certain moment in the past that had already been marked! Everyone in the region would all move back against their will until they returned to the moment Sicario decided on! As a result of this power, Sicario could change any event so that things went in his favour! But the reason Sicario could not use this power all the time to make every situation go in his favour was because every time he manipulated the past, he had to pay for the time he erased with his own lifespan!

It was impossible to create something out of nothing, and just like the Arcane Art of Reality that needed matter in order to create more matter, the Arcane Art of Time needed Time in order to manipulate Time! That was why Sicario did not use this ability without thinking deeply about it first! Sicario would be sacrificing a lot in order to use this ability, so the only times he activated it was when he was in a situation that absolutely required it!

Enkidu had a look of disbelief on her face when she noticed what Sicario had done, and she felt worry fill her heart when she saw Sicario coughing loudly! Enkidu was about to head towards him, but Sicario raised his hand to tell her to stop, and he finally landed on the ground opposite Jason. Jason narrowed his eyes at the familiar face, and Jason sneered angrily.

"So you were one of them all along...?"

Sicario gave Jason a sad smile and nodded once. Jason still remembered meeting Sicario during his fight against the Beast of the Apocalypse. Back then, Jason believed Sicario was just a vengeful mage who wanted to get revenge against the Beast of the Apocalypse. The two men had fought together, and they had even formed a camaraderie with each other. Jason never thought that this was how he would meet the strange man again.

Sicario spoke up.

"If it’s any consolation, I want you to know that I have never once lied to you. The friendship we shared that day was genuine, and I am grateful for your aid in destroying the Apocalyptic Beast."

"I don’t give a fuck about all that. Move."

Jason’s power began to leak from his body once again. All the damage that had been done to the mansion earlier had been completely erased, and Jason’s subordinates were still standing around the room and waiting for his order. Jason was more than prepared to start this fight all over again if he needed to! And this time, Jason would finish what he started!

But Sicario shook his head.

"I am sorry, my friend. But I cannot do that. I understand that Theosis has caused you great pain, but he is important to my plans. I’ll ask you to overlook his foolishness, just this once."

Slash!

Jason suddenly slashed his hand through the air, and a wave of super-compressed wind tore through the space in front of him and headed straight for Sicario’s neck! But Sicario immediately put his hand out and deflected the attack!

The wind blade slammed into Sicario’s armor, and the attack stopped in its tracks! Although Sicario was still only a TITAN Rank III, his armour had been forged from the metallic core of a dying sun and strengthened with dwarven magic, so it possessed more than enough defensive properties to protect Sicario from PRIMORDIAL attacks! Two long spikes made from shadow suddenly shot out from the floor and travelled straight towards Theosis, and at the same time Jason pulled out the [Death’s Mirage] and shot forward to try and get past Sicario, but Sicario didn’t back down! Sicario pulled out a long spear and blocked Jason’s sword before shouting to Enkidu!

"Get him out of here!"

Jason’s mana pulsed through the air, and Sicario was immediately pushed back by the intense force! Sicario was already a TITAN Rank III, but Jason was a PRIMORDIAL, and there was no way Sicario could hold Jason for long! The only thing stopping Jason from tearing Sicario in half at that moment was the special golden armour that gave Sicario a significant boost to his power!

Enkidu looked like she wanted to help out, but she knew that there was nothing she could do here! Jason already learned all their abilities in the future, and Sicario using his Time Art only bought them enough time to escape! Enkidu quickly turned to the side as a Dimensional Tear opened up, and Ulysses stepped through! Since they went back in time, Ulysses had to re-enter this world all over again! The two women grabbed Theosis and quickly began to head into the Dimensional Tear! Jason immediately sent out an order to the Legion and told them to make sure Theosis couldn’t leave this world, and they all charged forward to try and get Theosis, but once Sicario was sure the other Apostles were already far enough, he immediately activated another Attribute!

[Time Freeze]!

Everything in a two hundred-meter radius around Sicario froze in place! Jason and all the Legion subordinates that had been charging forward were immediately stuck in time, and they now looked like statues! This Attribute was one of the most useful ones Sicario had. When activated, the skill allowed Sicario to stop time for everything in a set radius around him without exception! But just like other powerful Attributes, there were multiple rules that Sicario had to follow to make sure that the Attribute worked.
