Chen Li is working tirelessly to save money and establish his own studio, pushing himself despite an injury. Xia Ting worries about his health and manages his demanding schedule and incoming offers. Chen Li, recovering from his nap, expresses a desire for more work, eager to secure his independence and avoid future hardship.

"Take a good rest, I’ll schedule work accordingly," Xia Ting said coldly, not taking his words seriously.

"I’m not afraid of being tired, as long as work can be scheduled, I’m on board," Chen Li continued, knowing her concerns.

She didn’t want him to be too exhausted, but she didn’t understand that rather than being tired, he feared her suffering alongside him.

She had already endured hardship once with him; there couldn’t be a second time!

"I’ll handle the scheduling, you just follow the itinerary," Xia Ting cast him a glance, showing not only displeasure but more so concern in her eyes.

Actually, he didn’t need to push himself so hard; the current work and life setup were already good.

Maintaining this lifestyle was all that was needed.

"Got it," Chen Li sighed helplessly; he couldn’t argue against her.

He had no choice but to follow what his wife said—what else could he do?

"While you’re free now, send out a Weibo to reassure your fans; someone leaked the news of your injury, and everyone is worried about you," Xia Ting sighed and shook her head, noting his fans were already causing a stir online.

If he didn’t post a Weibo message to soothe them, who knows how chaotic it might get?

"You can post it."

"Why are you so lazy!"

"I’m injured and don’t want to move; I need to rest," Chen Li pretended to be uncomfortable, continuing to lean back in the chair to rest.

Xia Ting chuckled helplessly, took his phone, and opened Weibo.

Once the Weibo post was out, the fans were reassured; it was a relief to know he was okay!

After resting for a bit, Chen Li continued filming; today’s scenes were indoors, which were good for him.

Filming finished when it was already dark; Chen Li returned to the hotel to rest first.

Xia Ting went to buy some nourishing soup because cooking wasn’t possible at the hotel.

If cooking was feasible, she would’ve personally made a broth to boost his health.

Now she could only buy some from a restaurant, which was a bit of a compromise for him.

Once they were home, she’d make delicious dishes to replenish his health!

When she returned with the food, Chen Li had already showered and was asleep in bed.

She quietly placed the items on the table, tucked him in, and didn’t wake him.

He was already so tired, yet thinking of taking on other work—what a fool.

Chen Li was so exhausted that he didn’t know when Xia Ting got back; he slept until past eleven before waking up.

Having slept for so long, his spirits were much better; he sat up and noticed she wasn’t in the room.

Grabbing his phone to check the time, it was already past eleven and she wasn’t in the room. Where could she be?

He pushed the blanket aside, got out of bed to search for her, just as the door opened and she walked in carrying two insulated containers.

"You’re awake," Xia Ting closed the door, walked in with the items, and placed them on the table.

"Where’d you go?"

"I went to reheat the soup, thinking you’d be awake soon. Seems I guessed right! Drink up while it’s hot."

"Didn’t you get any rest?" Chen Li frowned, walked to her side, and pulled her into his arms.

Xia Ting, startled, quickly pushed him away, instinctively looking at the curtains.

Afraid they weren’t closed and someone could see this moment inside the room.

"Don’t push me away!" Chen Li, exasperated, pulled her back into his arms domineeringly.

Being pushed back so suddenly really made him angry!

To hold his beloved woman, he had to sneak around like this!

It was so frustrating!

He was somewhat weary of this entertainment circle, wanting to quit being an actor.

Yet he couldn’t offer her the best life at the moment, so he could only endure!

Once he earned enough, he’d exit showbiz, become an ordinary person, live a simple life with her as an ordinary couple.

No more worries about being spotted by reporters or concerns over rumors!

"Won’t push anymore," Xia Ting leaned against his chest, eyes closed to rest assuredly.

She could only truly relax with him when unseen by others.

It wasn’t that she was overly cautious, but with ubiquitous paparazzi these days!
