Tian Xin attempts to jump off a building to see Ziyang, only to suffer a fractured foot and dislocated hand. Ziyang awakens in the hospital and immediately asks for Tian Xin. Despite his injuries and her accident, they are brought together in Ziyang's room.

Ziyang’s entire being ached as he heard Tianxin’s cries, a pain more profound than any punishment.

Her tears felt like they could extinguish his life. "Tianxin, please, stop crying," he pleaded.

"Brother Ziyang, I am so sorry... I shouldn’t have always relied on you so much!" Tianxin sobbed, her grip tightening on the blanket in her distress.

"Do you... regret it?" Ziyang held his breath, his gaze fixed on the weeping girl above him, not daring to blink.

Was her apology a sign of regret? "I'm sorry..." Tianxin’s voice was ragged.

Her apology only seemed to agitate Ziyang further. Mustering his remaining strength, he lifted a hand and gently placed it on her head, disregarding everything else.

"It’s alright, there’s no need to apologize!" he reassured her. Pain was not his greatest fear; it was her regret that truly terrified him.

This was precisely why he had wished for her not to see him in such a state. However, upon learning from his Big Brother that she had sustained a fracture just to see him, he could no longer resist the urge to be with her when he heard her voice.

A week later.

Ziyang was recuperating remarkably well, now able to slowly rise and walk around.

Tianxin had stayed by his side throughout these days, and Huo Shaohua had not intervened to separate them.

They shared the same ward, and their days were filled with contentment.

Tianxin returned from an excursion in her wheelchair, a tray of food resting on her lap.

She maneuvered the wheelchair to the coffee table and carefully set the food down. "Brother Ziyang, are you in the bathroom?" she inquired, glancing towards the bathroom door.

Receiving no response, she anxiously propelled her wheelchair towards the bathroom. She nudged the door open, only to find it empty, intensifying her fear.

Could Brother Ziyang have already left?! In a panic, she wheeled herself towards the exit; the bed was unoccupied, and the bathroom remained empty. Where could he have possibly gone!

As she reached the door, she bumped into Ziyang, who was just stepping in, realizing with relief that he had returned.

A wave of relief washed over her as she asked, "Where did you go?"

"I went for a little run," Ziyang replied with a smile, entering the room and closing the door behind him.

Tianxin turned her wheelchair away, a flicker of annoyance crossing her face. She no longer wished to engage with him. He had gone out without informing her, causing her such worry.

"Are you upset?" Ziyang followed her, sensing the young girl’s displeasure.

"Come and have breakfast; it’s still warm." Tianxin stopped her wheelchair beside the coffee table, reaching out to open the bag and retrieve the meal.

"Are you really mad?" Ziyang approached her, crouched down, and gently stroked her hair. His eyes, filled with a profound reluctance, refused to avert their gaze.

He feared that a single blink might cause her to vanish…

"Of course, I’m mad! I’m going home and I won’t talk to you!" Tianxin feigned anger, her pouting lips setting as she placed the breakfast down and turned away from him.

"You are not permitted to leave!" Ziyang stated sternly, his hand tenderly caressing her thin face. She had noticeably lost weight while caring for him in the hospital these past few days.

Since their reunion, she had been unyielding in her desire to stay at the hospital and tend to him.

She refused anyone else's care, insisting on being the sole caregiver. No one could dissuade her, so she was ultimately allowed to remain by his side.

Even with her own injuries, she prioritized his well-being.

She had truly grown up, now capable of looking after him.

These past few days, he had grown accustomed to her presence, listening to her and behaving himself. His Little Sweetheart had matured, and now she was the one taking care of him.

The dynamic had shifted; it was no longer him looking after her. A sense of disorientation, coupled with a subtle distance, arose within him…

Tianxin turned back, offering him a gentle smile. She then lowered her head and planted a kiss on his forehead.

"Now it’s your turn!" Tianxin closed her eyes, awaiting his kiss.

A smile curved Ziyang’s lips. He stood up, leaned down, and kissed her, reluctant to end the embrace. However, as he became fully immersed in the kiss, Tianxin abruptly pulled away, halting his advance.

"Hurry and eat your breakfast! And don’t you dare go wandering off secretly again, or I will truly ignore you!" she declared, opening her eyes and pouting with feigned indignation.
