Tianxin and Ziyang go on a trip to a nearby farm, leaving Ping in charge of the children. Ping receives a call from Madam, who expresses concern about Tianxin possibly dating and asks Ping to keep an eye on her. Ping agrees, determined to prevent Tianxin from getting into trouble.

"Ziyang, catch this!" Tianxin selected an apple from the branch and sent it tumbling down towards Ziyang, who was positioned beneath the tree.

"Come down quickly!" Ziyang caught the falling fruit, placing it carefully into his bag while his gaze remained intently fixed on Tianxin, still high up in the tree.

The young girl was so daring; simply watching her from below made his heart pound with nervous energy!

He harbored a deep fear that she might take a tumble.

"Just two more, and I’ll be right down," Tianxin chirped, thoroughly enjoying her apple-picking adventure and reluctant to descend just yet!

"Hurry up; we can go fishing by the river!" Ziyang coaxed, attempting to entice her down, as he felt it was far too precarious for her to remain elevated any longer.

"Alrighty!" Tianxin agreed, plucking one final apple and tossing it down to Ziyang.

With great caution, she began her descent, gripping the sturdy branches for support as she navigated her way slowly downwards.

"Take your time."

"Okay."

Tianxin’s wide eyes darted mischievously, and at a point just above Ziyang’s outstretched reach.

She deliberately let go—

"Ah, Brother Ziyang~" she shrieked in mock terror, her eyes squeezed shut, placing her trust in whether Brother Ziyang was quick enough to catch her.

Should he fail, a painful fall awaited her...

To her delight, she landed safely within a warm, enveloping embrace, the sound of his rapid breaths filling her ears.

His arms held her securely, as if fearing she might slip again.

With a joyous smile, Tianxin opened her eyes and reached up to wrap her arms around Ziyang’s neck, exclaiming, "I knew Brother Ziyang would catch me!"

Upon finishing her sentence, she perceived that Ziyang’s expression had turned sour with irritation.

Swallowing guiltily, she averted her gaze, not daring to meet his stern look...

"Stand up straight!" Ziyang gently put her down, instructing her to stand on her own.

His sharp gaze swept over her, and he instantly realized the fall had been entirely intentional!

Was she unaware of the sheer panic he experienced watching her descend?

How terrified he was of not being able to catch her, leading to her injury upon impact with the ground.

What if some harm befell her...

"Brother Ziyang, I’m so sorry..." Tianxin lowered her head, offering a soft apology.

"You little fool!"

"Brother Ziyang..." Tianxin noticed Ziyang’s hand trembling slightly.

Feeling a pang of remorse, she stepped forward to grasp his hand, understanding that the tremor was from the immense strength he exerted to catch her.

Ziyang brusquely pulled his hand away, took a few steps to retrieve an apple, and then departed.

Tianxin trailed after him, chattering incessantly in an attempt to appease him, but Ziyang maintained his silence.

They proceeded to go fishing, yet Ziyang still refused to speak with her.

Even throughout their dinner, he remained taciturn, and Tianxin was on the brink of tears from sheer frustration.

She had apologized, acknowledged her mistake, and promised never to repeat such an action.

Why, oh why, wouldn’t Brother Ziyang give her his attention...

Following dinner, back at their hotel accommodation, Ziyang proceeded to the reception desk with the intention of securing an additional room.

He arranged for Tianxin to occupy a separate room, and the realization of this decision brought tears of sadness to her eyes.

She offered no protest, quietly gathering her belongings to relocate to the new room, her spirits utterly dejected.

Observing her crestfallen demeanor, Ziyang found his own heart aching slightly.

While he was indeed vexed about her deliberate fall earlier that day, the decision to segregate their rooms stemmed from a more profound concern.

The primary reason was his fear of losing all self-control...

With just the two of them isolated, his ability to restrain himself was dwindling.

The following morning.

Before Ziyang had even stirred from his slumber, Tianxin arrived at his door, rapping gently.

He rose to open it, finding Tianxin standing there, a bright smile gracing her features.

"Good morning, Brother Ziyang. I went out to get some breakfast; let’s eat together!" She stepped into the room before Ziyang could even utter a response.

A wave of fear washed over her; she worried that if she delayed any longer, Brother Ziyang might dismiss her once more...

Last night, she had slept alone, enveloped in fear but too timid to seek him out.

Brother Ziyang was clearly still displeased, so she had risen early today, determined to procure breakfast as a means to win back his favor~

Ziyang closed the door behind him and entered the room, observing Tianxin meticulously arranging the breakfast she had purchased on the table.
