Feng Daiku attempts to kill He Jiaqing, but Shang Rongchu intervenes. Shang Rongchu uses a perfume that incapacitates He Jiaqing's attackers, then employs his Joyful Cultivation Technique against Feng Daiku, severing her emotional attacks. Ma Wu wounds Shang Rongchu with a Joyful Cultivation Technique, but Shang Rongchu continues his assault on Feng Daiku, ultimately setting her ablaze from the inside out.

Ma Wu was terrified, wanting to rush up and save the fire, but He Jiaqing kicked him to the ground.

This fire can’t be saved; with Ma Wu’s current power, he couldn’t extinguish this heart fire. If he tried to help Feng Daiku, he’d only draw the fire onto himself, and both of them would be burned to death by the heart fire.

Feng Daiku looked at Ma Wu, her face with flames, filled with reluctance.

Shang Rongchu laughed: “Younger sister, take a closer look at your beloved, because the next time you see him, it will be in the next life.”

The best way to extinguish the heart fire is to use the Cold Cultivation Skill, to cool the heart, suppress all love and hate, and then the heart fire can be extinguished.

But Feng Daiku doesn’t know the Cold Cultivation Skill, these two Taoist sects are like water and fire; an Emotion Cultivator cannot simultaneously cultivate Cold Cultivation.

Feng Daiku struggled fiercely in the fire; the more she couldn’t let go of Ma Junyang, the more intense the heart fire burned on her.

Ma Wu crawled towards Feng Daiku, only to be kicked back by He Jiaqing.

The others went forward to besiege He Jiaqing, but He Jiaqing kicked each one to the ground by himself.

Shang Rongchu was no longer focused on Feng Daiku; he watched He Jiaqing, waiting to see when he could kill Ma Junyang.

He Jiaqing was still thinking about how to delay, when suddenly he saw that Feng Daiku, who had been struggling in the flames, was standing still.

Was she burned to death?

Not that fast, right?

Shang Rongchu paused in surprise, suddenly noticed a change in the woman’s figure within the fire.

The lines were not so smooth anymore, the edges were somewhat distinct.

The attire was not so fitting anymore, the heavy clothes having some crude workmanship.

The appearance was not so pretty anymore, layers of wrinkles were visible under the white hair.

While Shang Rongchu was still astonished, he suddenly heard He Jiaqing shout: “Brother Rongchu, help me!”

What nonsense is this? He Jiaqing dealing with a few Earth Skin, he still needs my help?

Shang Rongchu glanced at He Jiaqing and was shocked.

He saw Feng Daiku, carrying some scorched smoke, leading Ma Wu and the others to besiege He Jiaqing.

When did Feng Daiku get over to He Jiaqing? Wasn’t she just burning in the fire?

Why was there only smoke left on her? Was her heart fire extinguished?

When did it go out?

If her heart fire is out, then who is the person in front of them?

Who is the person who has been continually scorched by fire in the flames?

The flames were raging, burning fiercer and fiercer, the dazzling firelight made it hard for Shang Rongchu to see the woman’s face clearly, but he could feel the power emanating from her.

Smoke was spreading, the woman in the fire was indeed being scorched by the flames, yet she didn’t make a sound, nor struggle at all.

Could it be her…

Could it be the hard cultivation skill, Substitution?

He guessed correctly, the woman had used the Substitution technique, transferring the flames from Feng Daiku onto herself, enduring the pain in place of Feng Daiku.

The woman raised a hand and pointed at Shang Rongchu, causing him to cry out in agony as flames ignited from inside him.

Hard cultivation skill, sharing the pain.

Shang Rongchu’s body was instantly engulfed in flames.

Unlike Feng Daiku’s situation, Feng Daiku’s heart fire was ignited little by little.

Shang Rongchu’s heart fire burned from the inside out, instantly consuming his entire body.

The blaze charred Shang Rongchu’s flesh, making it impossible for him to stand, he fell directly to the ground.

He opened his mouth, using all his strength to take a deep breath, sucking all the flames into his mouth.

This is the Cloud Top Technique in Lust Cultivation, devouring the demonic fire.

This technique has no offensive capability, it’s a life-saving skill for a cultivator.

The higher the level of Lust Cultivation, the more likely one is to be counterattacked by heart fire. Gifted Lust Cultivators can find everything they see connected to their Taoist practice, like Ma Wu; he sees a hollow bamboo and thinks there’s definitely something useful for cultivation.

He sees a lock and thinks this thing may be useful for cultivation too.

Feng Daiku sometimes feels curious, she asks Ma Wu: “How can a lock be useful for Lust Cultivation?”

Ma Wu has his explanation: “Think about it, every lock has a keyhole, and every lock can be opened with a key. The key enters and exits the keyhole; is this not the essence of our Taoist cultivation?”

Feng Daiku didn’t understand at the time and debated with Ma Wu for a few sentences: “If the key goes into the keyhole, it has to turn, which is not what your Taoist practice is about!”

Ma Wu answered seriously: “I can also turn, why don’t you try it!”

Feng Daiku tried it and felt Ma Wu’s logic made sense.

Gifted Lust Cultivators can perceive the origin of all things from the relationship between locks and keys.

The fundamental of all things in the world comes from the cultivation of Lust Cultivation.

Cultivators like this, the higher their cultivation level, the higher their mental state, when they reach Above the Clouds, everything they see can be connected to their cultivation journey, the heart fire always burning, potentially burning themselves out.

In the Cloud Top Technique of Lust Cultivation, there is this move to devour demonic fire, it’s a life-saving technique.

Shang Rongchu is smart, knowing that the Cloud Top Technique is limited, yet he chose this technique, for one sole purpose — to preserve his life.

He took this breath, sucking away more than ninety percent of the flames on him, leaving less than a trace on his back, Shang Rongchu cared not anymore.

The less flame there is, the harder it is to suck, leaving this small flame, one or two breaths couldn’t clean it, it could only be dealt with later, he had to reserve his strength to escape promptly.

Perhaps now he could run away, but if delayed a moment longer, his life would be forfeited.

Shang Rongchu stumbled and climbed from the ground, wanting to flee, but after a few steps, he saw two wild boar lovingly together in the woods.

Seeing this, Shang Rongchu was stirred, and the flames on his back increased.

He walked a few more steps forward and saw two snakes entwined together.

Shang Rongchu hurriedly looked away, the flames on him increased again.

Was this a coincidence? Why did these things keep happening to him?

It wasn’t a coincidence, there was a cause and effect.

He is a Lust Cultivator, and so is Ma Wu, the two were fighting right here in the woods, the Lust Cultivator’s techniques affecting all the nearby living entities.

Looking ahead, he saw a pair of wild bulls lovingly together.

Looking left, two hedgehogs just embraced.

Looking right, two large trees were intertwined.

Shang Rongchu looked down, saw earthworms entwining one another.

He looked up again, saw two crows building a nest.

No matter where he looked, nothing seemed right, the flames on Shang Rongchu increased, blazing once more.

Why did this cause and effect follow so precisely?

Because he was under a technique, Fortune Repair Skill, sudden blessings and misfortunes.

Shang Rongchu couldn’t run anymore; even if he closed his eyes, scenes he’d previously seen continued to replay in his mind.

He lay on the ground, putting all his strength into the technique, took another breath, absorbing all the flames again.

After using this technique, Shang Rongchu had no strength left, lying on the ground, loudly begged for mercy: “Senior, spare my life!”

The woman who had been engulfed by the flames earlier now had no fire on her.

She was unscathed, not even a scorch mark on her clothes.

The woman looked at Shang Rongchu without speaking.

In despair, Shang Rongchu turned to He Jiaqing, hoping he could save him.

Under the siege, He Jiaqing fell in the crowd, his body covered in wounds, seemingly lifeless.

Shang Rongchu wanted to beg for mercy again, but it seemed he had no chance; the ground below began to heat, as a geyser erupted.

Shang Rongchu couldn’t struggle, about to be scalded by the geyser.

A shower of copper coins landed on Shang Rongchu, pulling him out from the geyser.

Seeing this scene, the woman looked up: “You actually came too.”

Mr. Kong Fang stood in the dense forest, cupped his fists towards the woman: “Old elder sister, I truly didn’t know you were here, otherwise I’d never dare come to offend.”

The woman smiled: “I was just passing by, intending to see my nephew; unexpectedly I didn’t see my nephew, but met you bird people instead.”
