The Coachmen sacrificed themselves to delay Tang Shijiang, allowing Driver Leader to escape the coal yard. Li Banfeng pursued, but Driver Leader and his remaining Coachmen were trapped by a bamboo forest planted by Xiao Genzi. While Li Banfeng hunted them, Driver Leader decided to face him directly and proposed a duel using the "Passing Glance" technique, but he then immediately hid behind the carriage, nullifying the technique. Li Banfeng agreed to a fair fight, but Driver Leader's sudden ambush broke the rules.

However, there is a mechanism on the cart roof, allowing a hole to be exposed, and the Coachman Leader can lock onto Li Banfeng at any time.

The coachman smiled, now having the upper hand, and what he needed to do was wait for the right moment to blow Li Banfeng up.

To be honest, this battle wasn't without losses, but if he could get rid of Li Qi, it would definitely be a big merit for him.

He had heard some rumors about Li Qi when he was in Inner State, all of which portrayed Li Qi as an extremely difficult character.

After actually confronting him, he found that Li Qi was not only difficult but also fierce, and in just one battle, almost wiped out his painstakingly cultivated Fire Wheel Gang.

But so what?

He was still just a reckless young man, he didn't understand what a real duel was.

He thought a duel was all about stamina, about luck, but how could he know how cunning it could be, how many tricks a real duel entailed?

Spurt!

The Coachman Leader felt a chill on his back, and when he turned his head, a man in black, wielding a Tang Sword, had pierced his back.

Wasn't it agreed to be a duel? How come he brought help?

The Tang Sword twisted and stirred inside the Coachman Leader's body, messing up his internal organs, and the Coachman Leader instantly lost his ability to resist.

Li Banfeng walked up to the coachman and opened the door to the Portable Residence.

"Duel? You're pretty funny!" Li Banfeng lifted the Coachman Leader and threw him into the Portable Residence.

The cart was a bit big, couldn't fit through the door, so the Old Man chuckled: "Leave it to me."

Screeching sounds~

A formless force struck, twisting and deforming the Ocean Cart, sending it through the door.

Li Banfeng closed the door and returned to the bamboo forest to summon Ma Wu and the others.

Ma Wu, Chuanzi, and Root walked out together.

Chuanzi asked, "What about the puller?"

Li Banfeng replied, "Taken care of, even cleaned up the corpse."

Root smiled and said, "Seventh Master is really efficient, we were worried for you earlier, I was even thinking of making two Bamboo Men to assist you..."

As they chatted and laughed, Ma Wu looked worried and murmured, "Something's not right."

"What's not right?"

"The numbers don't add up," Ma Wu counted carefully, "Six people came into the bamboo grove, Root and Chuanzi took care of one, Chuanzi and I took another, Old Qi killed three, so where's the last one?"

Li Banfeng was startled and checked the surroundings.

There were two sets of wheel tracks leading off into the distance.

"Not good, these people are special, can't let even one get away!"

These coachmen moved so uniformly that Li Banfeng suspected they might be some form of life replication.

Li Banfeng had heard from Qiu Luoye about such a situation before, an Inner State person turned into a house, appeared in Puluo State, and a single house soon became multiple houses, which the Peddler called reproducing.

If Li Banfeng's guess was correct, letting one go would be like losing a whole brood.

"Hurry and chase!" Li Banfeng instructed Ma Wu, "Call everyone, don't let this person leave Loess Bridge!"

He first followed the wheel tracks, pursuing all the way from the coal field to the Meisha River.

An old Han was picking up coal slag in the river, and Li Banfeng approached him asking, "Have you seen a Rickshaw Puller?"

The old Han nodded and said, "Saw one, pulling the cart, hurriedly headed east."

Li Banfeng headed east in pursuit and after a while, saw a woman selling wontons, peddling her cart.

"Big sister, have you seen a Rickshaw Puller?"

The woman thought for a moment and said, "A cart puller just passed by, seemed to be heading up Dongqiao!"

Li Banfeng quickly chased to Dongqiao, where a Peddler was shaking a rattle and pushing the cart along the bridge.

Li Banfeng asked, "Did you see a coachman go up the bridge?"

The Peddler thought about it and asked, "What kind of coachman? Male or female? Pulling or pushing?"

Hearing this, he hadn't seen it.

Li Banfeng continued to chase for a couple of steps, but then he stepped back.

He stared at the Peddler for a while and asked, "Are you out selling again?"

The Peddler nodded and smiled, "Indeed, since I've been away, they say you've been selling for me, much appreciated."

"You still dare to smile?" Li Banfeng frowned, "Where did you run off to?"

The Peddler gestured behind him, "I went to find him."

Only then did Li Banfeng notice that someone was standing behind the Peddler.

This person seemed to be about fifty years old, with a round face and regular features, albeit with small eyes, thick eyebrows, a somewhat short nose bridge, and a particularly round nose tip, looking rather affable.

He knew Li Banfeng and greeted him: "Li Bufeng, we meet again!"

PS: There's only one person who calls Li Banfeng Li Bufeng, refer to Chapter 302.
