Starting to Gain Experience from Push-Ups Chapter 1502 - 723: Brother Cheng’s Charisma, an Encounter at the Sea Empress Temple
Previously on Starting to Gain Experience from Push-Ups...
Today she had changed into a form-fitting black one-piece surf swimsuit.
The color-block design at her waist and legs traced out her already tall, full figure, making every curve stand out even more.
Her jet-black long hair was tied into a high ponytail, her delicate features bare of makeup, with a pair of polarized waterproof goggles pushed up on her head.
Lin Chuqiao stopped in front of Fang Cheng, casually shoved the goggles up to her forehead, a few sparks of light flickering in her eyes:
"Brother Cheng, didn’t expect you’d actually learned to drive a jet ski. Dare to go run a lap with me around the outer ring?"
Fang Cheng turned his head, his gaze sweeping past her enticing chest before landing on the keys in her hand. He let out a soft chuckle:
"Sure, you pick the route."
"Okay, whoever loses treats lunch today."
Lin Chuqiao’s red lips lifted slightly, her reply crisp and neat.
Then she turned sideways and flipped herself onto a matte-black jet ski next to them, her long legs pushing back on the seat, instantly finding her balance.
At the same time as the coach on the distant stands raised his hand and waved the flag, two columns of water exploded across the sea’s surface.
Lin Chuqiao’s handling skills were exceptionally smooth; she’d clearly played with this kind of extreme sea sport more than a few times.
She lowered herself so much she was almost plastered to the handlebars.
When she reached a big curve, she actually had no intention of slowing down at all, relying only on her body weight to press down the hull and using the push of the waves to force her way through on the inner line.
The tail of the craft threw up a spray of dense water, trailing a semi-arc of white foam across the sea.
Fang Cheng followed behind Lin Chuqiao, in no hurry to overtake her.
He steered steadily with one hand, his body rising and falling with the swells in precise, cushioning movements, always keeping two lengths of the craft between them.
Bee-bee-bee——
The waves kept slapping against both sides of the jet ski, the crisp sound of water breaking mixed with the roar of the engine into a single rush.
A loose, relaxed smile curled at Fang Cheng’s lips.
Watching that dashing figure slicing through the waves ahead of him, feeling the cool sea breeze brushing his face, the burdens he’d had piled up in his heart over the past half year seemed to scatter with the wind in that moment.
They tore through one full lap and crossed the finish line smoothly.
Lin Chuqiao drove the jet ski back toward the shore, raised a hand to pull off her hair tie, and shook out the tips of her hair that had been dampened by spray.
Droplets slid down along her fair neck, catching the sunlight and refracting a lustrous glow.
She was already born strikingly beautiful; now, with her bare face and the tight swimsuit framing her, she’d shed some of that usual chilly heiress vibe and instead gained a kind of indescribable sensual allure.
Still slightly out of breath, Lin Chuqiao looked at Fang Cheng bringing his jet ski in to park and dock, bit her lower lip, and complained teasingly:
"Brother Cheng, seriously, you could’ve passed me easily, but you just had to stay behind and watch the show."
"I already had the throttle twisted all the way."
Fang Cheng killed the engine, pulled out the key, and stepped onto the boardwalk.
He casually took the dry towel handed over by a staff member and wiped the water from his face, laughing as he replied:
"It’s mainly that you were going too fast. I could only stay behind and eat your spray."
Lin Chuqiao let out a smug little hum, but her eyes were full of irrepressible amusement.
"Enough talking to you, I’m gonna go put on some sunscreen. My skin feels kind of dry."
She lifted a hand to fan herself, then turned and stepped away toward the rest area to get her makeup bag.
Fang Cheng naturally turned his head, looking over at Zhou Xiumei, who’d been sitting under the sun umbrella watching their bags the whole time.
Zhou Xiumei had a white cotton sun-shirt over her clothes, the hem of the floral skirt underneath occasionally flipping up in the sea breeze.
Her smooth long hair was lightly blown against the side of her cheek, her fair face clean and simple, with even the tiny hairs on her skin visible in the bright sunlight.
She and Lin Chuqiao were practically two different kinds of women altogether, each beautiful in her own, utterly distinct way.
Those black-and-white, clear eyes were filled with gentleness and quiet calm.
Sitting there at the edge of the noisy, blazing hot beach, she looked a little out of place.
Like a lily blooming silently by itself, pure and untouched by the slightest speck of worldly dust.
Her hands were folded, resting on her knees. When she felt Fang Cheng’s gaze fall on her, she hurriedly stood up and took two small steps forward to meet him.
"Xiumei, don’t you want to go try it?"
Not wanting to leave her out, Fang Cheng walked over, pointing toward the rippling water of the play zone.
Zhou Xiumei pressed her lips together, glanced at the jet skis roaring in the distance, and shook her head:
"Brother Cheng, those things go too fast... I get a bit dizzy just watching. It’s fine if I stay on shore and watch you guys play."
"That won’t do."
Ignoring her attempt to shy away, Fang Cheng directly picked up a light women’s life jacket from the chair and held it out against her chest:
"It’s not often we come to the beach. Just sitting here is boring. Come on, I’ll go slower and take you out to see that patch of mangroves in the middle of the sea."
Faced with the insistence in his eyes, Zhou Xiumei tightened her fingertips slightly and took the life jacket.
She clumsily fastened each buckle, then followed Fang Cheng down into the shallows.
Climbing onto the rear seat of the jet ski, Zhou Xiumei’s hands nervously clutched the straps under the side cushion, not daring to lift her eyes and look around at all.
"You’ll need to hold on tight later, otherwise the waves will bounce you right off."
Fang Cheng swung a leg over into the driving position, pointed back at his lower back, and hinted, "Hold on here."
Zhou Xiumei’s ears warmed, and after a brief hesitation she still reached both arms around from the sides, encircling Fang Cheng’s firm waist and abdomen.
When Fang Cheng twisted the throttle and the craft surged forward, the sudden weightlessness made her let out a small cry.
Her arms, which had only been loosely hooked around him, tightened instinctively in an instant, her whole face naturally burying into the broad plane of Fang Cheng’s back.
Through the thin shirt between them, the compact, steady lines of muscle across the man’s back transmitted to her bit by bit with his movements as he handled the craft.
