Jiang Chen, weakened and recovering, orders a prisoner to be imprisoned and fed. He receives an update on external affairs, including the progress of establishing a blood bank and the Special Search Team's ongoing search. Jiang Chen declares a period of seclusion for recovery, which prompts Qian Dongming to plead for immediate immortality due to his illness. Jiang Chen dismisses Qian Dongming's plea but offers a dangerous alternative. Jiang Chen then has a portrait of a young man drawn, ordering his subordinates to investigate the man's background. Xu Hao, witnessing this, reveals that the man Jiang Chen is looking for is present. Jiang Chen, enraged, confronts Xu Hao. Suddenly, a streak of golden light, like a meteor, crashes into the village, breaking through the barrier.

At the moment the meteor struck, everyone felt a roaring in their ears, as a mountain shifting and sea overturning pressure crashed down from high above.

The ground paved with bluestone slabs collapsed and fell away on the spot.

Web-like cracks spread wantonly outwards accompanied by rolling earth.

The surface of the earth shattered inch by inch, and even the few nearby dead trees were snapped in half by this overwhelming force, "crack" breaking onto the ground.

Woosh——

A fierce wind roared, carrying a scorching breath as it rushed forward.

A ring of crimson airwaves exploded close to the ground, mixed with gravel, wood chips, and choking smoke, sweeping the scene in a circular fashion.

Qian Dongming had no time to react, as both he and his cane were blown away, heavily crashing into a distant depression.

Supervisor Wu crossed his arms protectively in front of him, leaving two white marks on the stone slabs with his feet, as the airwaves scorched large patches of his clothing black.

The kneeling villagers beside were like leaves in the wind, blown askew all over the place, rolling and crawling.

They huddled at the corners of walls, raising their arms in panic and confusion to shield their eyes.

Trying to block the dazzling light and scorching heat that burned their skin, to see clearly the scene at the center of the explosion.

Xu Hao, tied to a stake, swayed in the wind just the same.

But a big smile pulled across his dust-covered face, as if he’d seen a savior.

Jiang Chen stood by the wellhead, his ghostly green pupils suddenly contracting.

He raised a hand covered in corpse spots to shield his face, while the armor on his body clanged in the airflow.

Simultaneously, four pale bone spurs behind him stabbed into the ground in unison, stabilizing his massive, heavy body.

Dust filled the sky and surged upwards, turning the courtyard center instantly into a sunken wasteland.

Stone fragments glowed faintly red from the residual heat, as a mass of crimson-gold flames burned fiercely at the deepest point of the wasteland.

"Plop... Plop..."

The sound of dress shoes crushing charred remains was clearly heard from the flames.

The wind waned, and dust settled.

A figure parted through the swirling smoke, stepping steadily out onto the ground littered with dark red embers.

The newcomer’s build was tall and straight, with a thin black jacket snapping audibly in the surrounding air currents.

Golden light surrounded him like flames, burning away all the cold mist attempting to approach.

He stopped, turning his head as he raised a hand to brush off some ash clinging to his shoulder.

Then he slowly lifted his face, his deep gaze cut through the chaotic scene, landing directly on Jiang Chen by the wellhead.

As the heatwave dissipated, the newcomer’s features were completely revealed in the firelight.

His prominent features, crisp short hair, were exactly the same as the man Supervisor Wu had just drawn on rice paper.

At this moment, the corner of his mouth slightly lifted, showing a similarly casual smile:

"I heard you want to crush each of my bones one by one?"

Everyone was dumbstruck, seemingly captivated by this explosive entrance.

Supervisor Wu couldn’t be bothered to brush off the ashes on his clothes, his eyes wide as saucers.

That perpetually stern and emotionless zombie face now twitched uncontrollably.

He stared intently at the man emerging from the flames, his Adam’s apple moving with difficulty.

From the overpowering heat wave that confronted him, he could feel a terrifying pressure that was impossible to resist.

Qian Dongming struggled to prop half his body up, coughing violently.

The heavy hit just now almost knocked the wind out of him, his bones nearly falling apart, and he couldn’t be bothered to pick up his cane lying nearby.

The villagers blown all over the place by the blast scrambled to the corners, scared that this calamity fallen from the sky would affect them.

Only Xu Hao, tied to the stake, behaved completely differently.

He shook his head hard and spat out a mouthful of sand.

Seeing the tall figure bathed in golden light, Xu Hao shouted loudly:

"Boss! Boss! I’m here!"

This guy was clearly dusty and disheveled, his clothes torn into strips by the blast.

Yet now, he seemed to instantly regain his sense of confidence, holding his head high, even lifting his chin up, displaying an arrogant demeanor.

By the wellhead, Jiang Chen withdrew the bone spurs planted in the ground, and his enormous body stood up straight again.

The ghostly green corpse fire in his eyes flickered slightly, as he coldly scrutinized Fang Cheng:

"Half a year without seeing you, this ordinary mortal seems to have an awfully tough life, your Kung Fu has improved quite a bit."

Fang Cheng stamped out a piece of burning wood underfoot, raising his eyes to look at the nearly two-meter tall armored zombie:

"Thanks to you, surviving a disaster means one has to learn some new tricks to greet you."

Jiang Chen’s shriveled face twisted slightly, revealing sinister white fangs:

"Back at Ren’an Hospital, you lent someone a hand in killing, using the court army’s steel birds and fire weapons to destroy one of my bodies. A few days ago, you broke my Ten Thousand Ghosts Suppressing Demon Formation and burned a wisp of my divine soul."

"This new and old hatred, I’ve been worrying about having nowhere to settle the score with you, and tonight you come delivered right to my door."

Fang Cheng casually flexed his wrist, smiling faintly:

"Half a year ago you were investigated by the Special Search Team, hiding like a turtle, and a few days ago you were burned by my True Sun Fire in a dream and fled in disorder."

"So now, after changing into this old-fashioned skin, you think you’re good to go again?"

"Arrogant fool!"

Jiang Chen sneered heavily, as all nearby sparks were extinguished by the surging corpse qi:

"In that dream world, this king’s soul was merely detached from its body, constrained by your Pure Yang True Qi."

"Now in this real world, within my absolute Magic Domain, the zombie true form I’ve cultivated for two thousand years, is it something your mere flesh and blood can challenge?"
