Starting Sign-In from a Billionaire God Chapter 1452 - 1451
Previously on Starting Sign-In from a Billionaire God...
Lun City West District Rich Area, inside a villa.
A middle-aged white man, sitting desolately in his living room, had been sitting there for an unknown amount of time. A bottle of newly opened wine on the table was nearly empty, but the alcohol’s sting couldn’t calm him down.
A middle-aged woman, dressed in pajamas, walked down the stairs and came to the man’s side, placing a hand on his shoulder.
The middle-aged man sensed it and grabbed the woman’s hand.
"Darling, what happened?" the middle-aged woman asked. Her husband had come back late at night and was drinking in solitude; there must be something wrong.
The middle-aged man was silent for a moment before saying, "Let me tell you, you mustn’t tell anyone else... the Queen is gone."
He was Dr. Watson, who had been secretly treating the Queen for some time.
The woman turned pale: "Oh, my God!"
Her reaction was genuine. In the United Kingdom, the Queen was a symbol of the nation. Her demise was, to some extent for the English, like the collapse of a spiritual pillar.
Surely it would shock the entire country.
She knew her husband, the nation’s best doctor, Dr. Watson, wouldn’t be wrong. If Dr. Watson couldn’t save her, then it was truly hopeless.
Ring ring ring...
The house phone suddenly rang.
Why was there a call at this late hour?
Watson wanted to answer it, but the woman said, "Let me."
She walked over and picked up the phone.
Quickly, the woman said to Watson, "It’s for you, seems to be someone from the Queen’s side, they said the Queen just woke up."
"What?"
Watson jumped up, "What did you say, the Queen woke up?"
The Queen was already at death’s door, only expected to quietly fade away, no possibility of waking up. If she could have revived, he wouldn’t have misdiagnosed; it’s impossible!
Dr. Watson immediately decided to go and see for himself; he wanted to witness the miracle.
Rural villa.
Catherine helped the awakened Queen to sit up.
"Ma’am, let me introduce you, this is Mr. Lin, he is a doctor, and he’s the one who just brought you back from the brink of death." Catherine said.
The Queen murmured, "Was I really at death’s door? Who said that? I just felt like I’d had a nap."
Catherine said, "It was Dr. Watson."
The Queen said, "Are you saying that Dr. Watson had declared me dead, and this handsome young man brought me back to life?"
Catherine said, "Yes, ma’am, precisely so."
The Queen looked incredulously at Lin Fan, then at her steward.
The steward said, "Your Majesty, that indeed is the case, Miss Catherine and I personally invited this gentleman over."
He too could hardly believe it, but it was indeed the truth that he witnessed.
The Queen was shocked by how this young man could be more skilled than Dr. Watson. However, what reason did Catherine and the steward have to deceive her?
So it must be true.
"Thank you, young man, I just had a dream that I was in Heaven, so you must be my Angel!" The Queen expressed her gratitude toward Lin Fan.
Lin Fan wasn’t helping her without expecting anything; frankly, the reason he accepted was to secure a powerful ally.
In the United Kingdom, what ally could be more powerful than the Queen?
If the opportunity hadn’t presented itself, it would have been a different story, but since it fell into his lap, Lin Fan seized it.
"Your Majesty doesn’t need to be polite, I have a request, I’d like to speak with you alone." Lin Fan smiled.
The Queen laughed, "They are my trusted people, you can speak openly in front of them, is it something concerning my health?"
Lin Fan said, "No."
The Queen murmured thoughtfully, "Young man, what do you want?"
Catherine had told Lin Fan that her "friend" could give him anything, and now it seemed true. In the United Kingdom, what could the Queen not give?
Lin Fan, a young man with astounding medical skills but no renown, could be given fame, money, even power by the Queen, as long as he wished it, as a form of gratitude, the Queen would oblige.
But Lin Fan said, "I want to ask Her Majesty to protect an innocent person."
This was utterly unexpected for everyone.
The Queen curiously pursued, "Young man, why do you say that? Who is this person you’re talking about?"
Lin Fan said, "This matter begins with an airplane..."
Time rewinds to a few days ago.
On a flight from Hong Kong to Lun City.
After identifying the "target person," Lin Fan and Chen Long approached the captain.
At this point, the crisis on the plane had been resolved, the three Death Warriors were dead, and the chief stewardess was under control.
The next target was to rescue Chen Long’s daughter.
Under normal protocol, with such a major incident on board, once the plane landed, it would be detained, and everyone onboard would be subjected to control for police investigation, and the chief stewardess, being one of the perpetrators, would naturally fall into police hands.
This would inevitably affect Lin Fan and Chen Long’s rescue plan, and they needed to take the stewardess away smoothly.
Thus, Chen Long requested the captain not to alert the authorities immediately, to allow the plane to land normally and let the passengers disembark as usual.
The captain agreed, as Lin Fan and Chen Long had saved his plane, not to mention they were rescuing a daughter, he had no reason to refuse.
Lin Fan then gathered all the passengers, explained the situation, and asked for their cooperation.
The passengers, grateful to Lin Fan for saving their lives, all agreed.
And so, a collective deception orchestrated by everyone onboard unfolded, a benign deception.
When the plane arrived in Lun City, everyone unassumingly disembarked and left the airport.
Lin Fan and Chen Long thus managed to take the stewardess away from the airport, heading to rescue Chen Long’s daughter.
And that "target person," unnoticed by others, blended into the crowd, safely slipping away.
"Your Majesty, the person I wish you to protect is this target person." Lin Fan finally said.
After hearing Lin Fan’s account, everyone in the room was stunned, as if they were hearing a fantasy.
The Queen exclaimed, "Such a huge matter, and I knew nothing about it!"
Lin Fan said, "Our charade is bound to be uncovered soon enough because the bodies of the three Death Warriors are still on the plane. Once discovered, the whole incident will gain attention, and I believe if the Queen wishes to know, you will have your channels."
The Queen said, "I will take your word for it, so how do you wish me to provide shelter for this target person?"
Lin Fan said, "This target person is scheduled to testify in court tomorrow against a murder case’s culprit, currently, the mastermind behind the airplane incident is desperately trying to find him."
The Queen said, "You know who the target person is, so you likely know who the mastermind is too?"
Lin Fan said, "I do, it’s the Smith Clan."
The Queen’s face changed, "Smith!"
She pondered for a moment, then instructed the steward, "Mr. Finch, please contact the Prime Minister and the Minister of Justice, have them come over."
