Ye Chen and Su Wanyi left Ye Chen's parents' home. Ye Chen drove Su Wanyi to her company, understanding she had urgent work matters. Later, Ye Chen headed to the bank to transfer money to Li Ming, but encountered an arrogant young man, "Young Master Zhou," and his bodyguards, who tried to push past him.

"Kid, did you hear me? I’m the Eldest Young Master Zhou. I advise you to step aside and not delay my business," Zhou Jian said arrogantly.

Although he had already noticed that the young man in front of him was completely indifferent to his status, he still wanted to regain some face.

"Young Master Zhou, right?" Ye Chen said with a smile.

Zhou Jian thought Ye Chen had come to his senses and smiled as he said, "That’s right, kid. Smart people know when to back down."

But Ye Chen’s next sentence nearly made Zhou Jian’s lungs explode with rage.

"Even if you’re Young Master Zhou, what does it have to do with me? We’re all here at the bank for business, and there’s a first-come, first-served rule," Ye Chen said coldly.

"Kid, you should know not just anyone can conduct business here," Zhou Jian shouted, pointing at the sign at the door.

"You don’t need to tell me that. I already know," Ye Chen said with a calm expression.

"Since you know, why don’t you go somewhere else to handle your affairs? Don’t waste my time here," Zhou Jian said frantically.

"Zhou Jian, right? That’s exactly what I wanted to tell you. My time is very valuable, and other counters can’t handle my business. I have no choice but to do it here," ignoring Zhou Jian, Ye Chen said as he moved to head inside.

Seeing Ye Chen ignored him, Zhou Jian shouted, "Kid, dare you tell me your name?"

"You don’t deserve to know my name," Ye Chen said irritably.

Ye Chen thought it was ridiculous to encounter such an idiot just by visiting the bank for some business.

Seeing Ye Chen ignore him, Zhou Jian became even angrier.

The young man in front was dressed ordinarily, and even as a VIP customer, he couldn’t be richer than Zhou Jian.

How could Zhou Tao endure being ignored by someone inferior to him?

He looked at the staff and shouted, "Bring me your Chairman Zhao."

The staff quickly dialed Manager Zhao’s phone number.

Chairman Zhao, who was resting in his office, was awakened by the ringing of the phone.

He glanced at the phone number and answered it reluctantly.

"Old Zhang, what’s up? Don’t you know I’m on my break?" Chairman Zhao said impatiently.

"Chairman Zhao, I’m sorry to disturb you, but Young Master Zhou insisted I call you. I had no choice," Old Zhang said hesitantly, looking troubled.

Chairman Zhao abruptly jumped out of bed upon hearing this, having been contacted by Zhou Jian earlier about coming to the bank today.

He’d already arranged everything, so the sudden call must mean something needed his attention.

"Young Master Zhou, I’ve already called Manager Zhao. He’ll be here soon," Old Zhang reported to Zhou Jian.

"Kid, see? Once Chairman Zhao arrives, I’d like to see what you do," Zhou Jian said, looking at Ye Chen contemptuously.

"Foolish and childish," Ye Chen said expressionlessly.

He thought only a child would act this way; adults certainly solve their problems themselves.

The Zhou Jian before him was of similar age to Ye Chen, yet he was highly immature mentally.

Within minutes, Chairman Zhao rushed into the business hall from his office and quickly said, "Young Master Zhou, I’m sorry to keep you waiting."

"Chairman Zhao, I truly didn’t mean to trouble you, but some situations have arisen that require your intervention," Zhou Jian said coldly.

"Young Master Zhou, no need to say that. Solving your problems is what I ought to do," Chairman Zhao said politely.

He privately thought that Zhou Jian was just a rich second-generation relying on his father, with no skills of his own, but he still needed to put on an act.

After all, Zhou Jian had an extremely powerful father, someone he couldn’t afford to offend.

If Elder Zhou was displeased and withdrew enormous funds from the bank, Chairman Zhao’s job would be at risk.

"Alright, then I’ll trouble Chairman Zhao. There’s a kid here who doesn’t know when to back off. I hope you can throw him out," Zhou Tao said, pointing at Ye Chen’s back.

Upon hearing Zhou Tao, Chairman Zhao turned to look at the young man with his back to him and asked, "Young Master Zhou, the people who come to the bank are all our clients. Can you tell me what happened?"

Chairman Zhao thought this way, neither offending Zhou Jian nor understanding the situation precisely.

"Chairman Zhao, I made an appointment with you yesterday to come here for business, but this kid suddenly wants to go in and handle his affairs. Shouldn’t you deal with that?" Zhou Jian said, reluctantly recounting the events even though he felt uncomfortable inside.

Ye Chen was somewhat satisfied with Chairman Zhao’s handling. Had Chairman Zhao kicked him out without discerning the situation, Ye Chen would have decided to transfer his money to another bank.

After all, he had ample money, and any bank would treat him like a distinguished guest.

Before Chairman Zhao could speak, Ye Chen interrupted, "In banking business, isn’t there supposed to be a first-come, first-served policy? I clearly arrived first, but this Young Master Zhou insists on stopping me, demanding he goes first—it’s absolutely absurd."

Ye Chen and Zhou Jian’s situation drew the attention of customers there for business.

Since they were waiting anyway, why not watch the show?

Especially when they saw the bank’s Chairman himself coming to handle the issue—things had gotten even more interesting.

Everyone was quite familiar with Zhou Jian; the Zhou Family’s power was well-known.

The hall was filled with a clamor of discussions.

"Looks like this young man is doomed; he’s bound to be thrown out."

"I think that’s mild, considering Zhou Jian retaliates fiercely. Those who provoke him never fare well."

"Exactly, I heard that the Qiao Family’s young master exchanged a few words with him and was crippled within days."

"That young man, really. If I were him, I’d stay far away from Zhou Jian to avoid trouble."

Ye Chen clearly heard the discussions from the onlookers. He hadn’t intended to provoke Zhou Jian.

Yet this guy kept threatening him, leaving him no choice.

Ye Chen’s philosophy was always to avoid conflict unless provoked, in which case he would retaliate twofold.

With Zhou Jian incessantly provoking him, how could Ye Chen tolerate it? He was certainly going to hit back to show this idiotic young master his own strength.

What Ye Chen didn’t expect was Zhou Jian resorting to summoning reinforcements as he couldn’t argumentatively defeat Ye Chen.

Ye Chen was curious how Chairman Zhao would resolve the matter.

Chairman Zhao, hearing the voice from the young man standing at the door, felt a stirring in his heart—the voice was remarkably familiar, feeling like déjà vu.

Yet he reasoned it couldn’t be the same person; otherwise, why would Zhou Jian act so arrogant upon finding out?
