Su Wanyi wakes up early and bakes a cake for Ye Chen's parents. She then struggles to pick an outfit, leading to a playful argument with Ye Chen. After teasing each other about their relationship status and other women, Su Wanyi embraces her role as the 'main wife' and they prepare to leave to visit Ye Chen's parents.

Looking at those fair little feet, Ye Chen quickly exclaimed, "Wanyi, are you going like this?"

This question left Su Wanyi a bit stunned. She thought, wasn’t this dress chosen by Ye Chen? Why would he say that?

"Why, don’t I look good in this dress?" Su Wanyi asked, looking at Ye Chen.

"That’s not what I meant. I meant maybe you should change your shoes." Ye Chen pointed at Su Wanyi’s feet.

Su Wanyi looked down and realized she hadn’t changed her shoes and was still wearing slippers.

She quickly ran back and changed into a pair of high heels that looked like they were straight out of Frozen.

Perhaps she was too eager to meet Ye Chen’s parents and forgot to change her shoes. If not for Ye Chen’s reminder, it would have been quite a joke.

After changing her shoes, Su Wanyi elegantly walked out.

Watching the woman walking ahead, Ye Chen thought to himself, the always meticulous ice queen CEO also has such an adorable side.

The two people didn’t drive straight to the Ye Family but stopped by a supermarket to buy some health supplements first.

Even though Ye Chen knew when his parents saw these things, they’d surely say there’s everything at home and there’s no need to be so wasteful.

Yet he also knew that, despite what they said, deep down, the old couple would be really happy.

Ye Chen and Su Wanyi walked out of the supermarket, carrying the purchased supplements, placed them in the car, and started driving towards the Ye Family.

Perhaps because she was making a cake, Su Wanyi woke up a bit early, and it wasn’t long after getting into the car that she fell asleep.

Ye Chen didn’t wake her up; instead, he took off his own jacket and draped it over Su Wanyi.

After about two hours of driving, they were almost at the Ye Family. Ye Chen gently nudged the woman beside him.

"Ye Chen, I woke up a bit early this morning. I’m sorry for falling asleep; you must have been really bored driving alone." Su Wanyi said apologetically.

Since it was quite a long drive, Su Wanyi had planned to chat with Ye Chen, but she inadvertently fell asleep.

"Oh, I almost fell asleep too, nearly bumped into someone several times." Ye Chen said expressionlessly.

"Ah, that’s so dangerous; why didn’t you wake me up?" Su Wanyi said worriedly.

"Haha, I’m just teasing you. You know how good my driving skills are; I could get here safely even with my eyes closed." Ye Chen said smugly.

Suwanyi actually believed what Ye Chen just said, feeling really sorry for letting him drive all alone.

But after hearing what Ye Chen said, she couldn’t help but give him a look, thinking, "Ye Chen is always joking; really made me worry for nothing."

Su Wanyi thought to herself; thankfully, they arrived safely to their destination.

Ye Chen carried the bags and packages, and Su Wanyi held the cake as they walked towards the door.

Possibly knowing Ye Chen and they were coming back, Mrs. Ye was waiting at the door early.

Seeing her son bring his girlfriend, she hurried over to greet them.

Mrs. Ye hadn’t held much hope. Even though Ye Chen had said on the phone they would visit, there was always a chance something might come up.

After all, Ye Chen and Su Wanyi both had their own jobs, and it was understandable if they couldn’t make it.

"Little Chen, Wanyi, you’re here," Mrs. Ye said with a smile.

"Mom, Wanyi and I came to see you and Dad," Ye Chen said with a smile. He hadn’t visited his parents in quite some time and was indeed very worried about them.

"Auntie, here’s a cake I made for you and Uncle. I hope you like it," Su Wanyi said, handing the cake to Mrs. Ye.

"We like whatever you make," Mrs. Ye said as she led her son and Su Wanyi towards the house.

She never dreamed Ye Chen and they would actually come, and she couldn’t stop smiling.

Seeing his mother so pleased, Ye Chen felt a little guilty.

His parents never demanded their return, always telling them not to worry and to focus on work.

He realized he sometimes neglected his parents’ feelings. They didn’t want him to return often, but they were just afraid of disrupting his work.

"Old man, come look who’s here!" Mrs. Ye said joyfully.

Father Ye, who was feeding the fish, turned and asked, "Who else could be visiting our house?"

But when he saw his son and future daughter-in-law, he was quite surprised, "Ye Chen, how come you’re here? Yesterday, your mom said you’d come, and I thought given your careers, it wasn’t a festival; where would you find the time?"

Hearing Father Ye’s words, both Ye Chen and Su Wanyi felt a bit guilty, realizing they hadn’t been doing enough.

"Mom and Dad, from now on, whenever I have time, I’ll bring Wanyi to see you," Ye Chen said with a smile.

"Little Chen, you really don’t have to. You’re so busy, it’s tough squeezing time. Don’t let it interfere with your work. Young people today face much more pressure than we did, plus competition is fierce. Your father and I understand," Mrs. Ye quickly said.

"Auntie, how about this, we’ll come to see you every week. Over time, Ye Chen and I will miss you too," Su Wanyi said with a smile.

"Okay, okay, I know you’re busy. Don’t force yourselves. When you’re young, focus on your careers. Your father and I can take care of ourselves; no need to worry." Mrs. Ye advised.

"Okay, okay, you don’t need to say anymore, we understand," Ye Chen said.

He knew if they continued discussing this topic, it might last until the afternoon.

"Auntie, won’t you try the cake I made?" Su Wanyi, knowing Ye Chen’s thoughts, gestured towards the cake on the table.

"Yes, Dad and Mom, you have no idea how stingy Wanyi is! I asked to try it, but she wouldn’t let me." Ye Chen pretended to be aggrieved.

"I can’t wait to taste Wanyi’s handiwork," Father Ye said with a smile.

Su Wanyi opened the cake box, took out a knife, and divided the cake, handing it to Father Ye and Mrs. Ye, saying with a smile, "Uncle, Auntie, have a taste and see how it is. Let me know if there’s anything that needs improving."

Father Ye and Mrs. Ye accepted the cake, tasted it with forks, and praised repeatedly, "This is the best cake we’ve ever had. Wanyi, you’re amazing."

"Wanyi, why didn’t you give me any? You’re so biased," Ye Chen complained as he watched Su Wanyi.

"The cake is right in front of you, eat it yourself," Su Wanyi gave Ye Chen a look.

"Little Chen, you’re older than Wanyi; why do you act like such a child? You should be the one cutting the cake for Wanyi," Mrs. Ye said, scolding lightly.

"Hmph, why do I feel like Wanyi is your daughter? You’re all picking on me." Ye Chen pretended to be angry.

Seeing his parents’ affection for Su Wanyi, Ye Chen couldn’t help but feel very happy.

When he heard his mother side with Wanyi and scold him, he was filled with joy, thinking there wouldn’t be any headache-inducing mother-in-law conflicts in their family.
