Song Xiaoxiao’s glare was so frigid it sent a jolt of fear down Li Mei’s spine.
“You… you…” Li Mei, fuming, found herself speechless.
Song Xiaoxiao had just exposed her embarrassing secret in front of their entire class, leaving everyone in the know.
A scorching heat rushed to Li Mei’s face, a discomfort far worse than any physical blow. She desperately wished the ground would open up and swallow her whole.
“What do you mean, ‘me’? After stooping to such disgusting behavior, you still dare to point fingers instead of reflecting on your own actions? It’s utterly laughable,” Song Xiaoxiao retorted, refusing to back down.
“Li Mei, listen carefully. Don’t provoke me again, or you’ll deeply regret it. You’d best watch your behavior,” Song Xiaoxiao warned.
“You shameless woman, get out of this classroom!”
“It’s revolting to be classmates with someone like you.”
“Disappear from our sight immediately and stop defiling this space with your presence.”
Song Xiaoxiao’s sharp words reignited the other classmates’ condemnation of Li Mei.
Even without those additional insults, Li Mei could no longer bear to remain in the classroom with any shred of dignity.
Li Mei, usually so resilient, inexplicably found tears streaming down her face as she fled the classroom.
A wave of weakness washed over Song Xiaoxiao as she watched Li Mei depart, and she sank onto a nearby chair.
“Xiaoxiao, are you alright?” Liu Xin inquired, noticing Song Xiaoxiao’s slightly pale complexion.
The other classmates also gathered around, their faces etched with concern as they checked on her.
Song Xiaoxiao wasn’t naturally inclined to such confrontations; Li Mei had forced her hand.
Summoning considerable courage, she had revealed Li Mei’s disreputable actions, aiming to teach her a lesson and demonstrate that she, too, was not to be trifled with.
“Thank you all for your concern. I’m fine, don’t worry,” Song Xiaoxiao managed, offering a weak smile.
Deep down, Song Xiaoxiao acknowledged that her actions were perhaps a bit extreme, potentially making it difficult for Li Mei to face anyone at school.
However, the cruelty of Li Mei’s past actions against her had been too much, and even Song Xiaoxiao’s patient disposition demanded an outlet for her pent-up emotions.
As Li Mei burst out of the classroom, a cold, eerily sinister smile touched her lips.
Song Xiaoxiao had made her lose face publicly, and Li Mei, a woman who always sought retribution for any slight, would certainly not let Song Xiaoxiao off the hook easily.
At that moment, a murderous intent towards Song Xiaoxiao surfaced within Li Mei.
She retreated to a secluded spot, retrieved her phone, and dialed a number.
A man’s voice responded as the call connected, “Meimei, you miss me?”
With tears welling in her eyes, she confided, “Brother Hei, I’ve been bullied. You have to stand up for me.”
Hearing Li Mei’s tearful voice, Brother Hei pushed aside the woman beside him and demanded, “Meimei, who dares to bully my woman? I’ll send a car to pick you up. Come to my villa, and we can discuss this properly.”
Coincidentally, Brother Hei had been missing his ‘Little Demon’ Li Mei these past few days, and this situation presented a perfect opportunity.
“Okay, Brother Hei,” Li Mei replied, a look of reluctance crossing her face.
She was acutely aware of the true implications of visiting Brother Hei.
Brother Hei was one of Li Mei’s trusted subordinates, commanding a substantial network of men.
If Li Mei intended to retaliate against Song Xiaoxiao, seeking Brother Hei’s assistance was her only viable option.
Shortly after, Li Mei’s phone rang once more.
Upon answering, a man’s unfamiliar voice came through: “Miss Li, Brother Hei sent me to pick you up. The car is waiting at the school gate; it’s an Audi A8.”
“Alright, I’m on my way,” Li Mei responded, a frown creasing her brow.
She ended the call and, with a heavy heart, walked towards the black Audi parked at the school’s entrance and reluctantly got inside.
The journey took over half an hour, finally arriving at a luxurious villa – Brother Hei’s estate.
Li Mei alighted from the car, smoothed her attire, took a deep breath, and proceeded inside.
Spotting Brother Hei lounging in the living room, she immediately plastered a smile on her face.
“Meimei, you’ve arrived,” Brother Hei greeted her, rising to his feet. He effortlessly scooped her up and carried her directly towards the bedroom.
“Brother Hei, please don’t. What if someone sees?” Li Mei protested playfully.
“You little imp, just hearing your voice made me dismiss all those other women. You’d best keep me company,” Brother Hei said, a lecherous grin spreading across his face.
As he spoke, he playfully squeezed Li Mei’s slender waist.
Brother Hei gently placed Li Mei onto the bed, then firmly closed the door behind them.
Hearing the click of the closing door, Li Mei shivered slightly, a tremor of apprehension running through her as her body instinctively recoiled.
Outside, a bodyguard shook his head and remarked to his colleague, “This girl’s in for a rough night.”
As his words hung in the air, Li Mei’s pained cries could be heard emanating from within the room.
Another bodyguard commented indifferently, “Serves her right, if you ask me. Why did she come here willingly?”
Approximately three hours later, the bedroom door finally creaked open.
“Meimei, I understand. Leave it to me, rest assured,” Brother Hei assured her as he stepped out.
Meanwhile, Li Mei lay on the bed, utterly spent and unable to utter a single word.
The two bodyguards, who had been stationed outside, nearly lost their composure upon hearing the seductive noises emanating from within. Upon seeing Brother Hei emerge, they quickly inquired, “Brother Hei, what should we do with that woman? Should we send her back or what?”
“I’ll leave her to you two. Just send her back when you’re done,” Brother Hei stated, giving both of them a pat on the shoulder.
Overhearing their conversation from the outside, Li Mei mustered her remaining strength to cry out, “Brother Hei, how could you do this to me?”
Brother Hei paid no heed to Li Mei's plea, instead casting a knowing glance at the two bodyguards.
The bodyguards understood his unspoken message and entered the room, shutting the door behind them.
Subsequently, Li Mei endured a prolonged period of torment before being carried out of the villa.
In the afternoon, the driver deposited her near the school gates, and the two bodyguards unceremoniously tossed her out of the vehicle.
Fortunately, some compassionate classmates assisted her back to the dormitory. Witnessing the injuries Li Mei sustained, they all presumed she had been assaulted, merely shaking their heads in dismay.
Liu Xin, upon seeing Li Mei in such a wretched condition, inquired with concern, “Xiaomei, where did you go? How did you end up like this?”
Li Mei offered no response.
Seeing Li Mei's state, Song Xiaoxiao felt a flicker of sympathy. Despite Li Mei's past actions, her current appearance evoked a sense of pity in Song Xiaoxiao, who was unaware of the ordeal she had suffered.
Li Mei's gaze fell upon Song Xiaoxiao, and she clenched her teeth in sheer hatred.
In that moment, she convinced herself that none of this would have occurred if not for Song Xiaoxiao.
Had it not been for Song Xiaoxiao, she would never have sought out Brother Hei, nor would she have endured such suffering. A fierce determination to eliminate Song Xiaoxiao ignited within her.
An overwhelming surge of malice and murderous intent towards Song Xiaoxiao consumed Li Mei.
Noticing Li Mei's refusal to engage with anyone, the others ceased their questioning.
With a date scheduled with Ye Chen later, Song Xiaoxiao applied her makeup, gathered her handbag, and departed from the dormitory.
A joyful smile graced her features.
This sight only intensified Li Mei's agony. Biting her lip fiercely, she vowed that Song Xiaoxiao's happiness would be short-lived; she would soon face the same torment.
