Stand User in Marvel Universe Chapter 839

Ten minutes later, the sounds of struggle and demise within the abandoned factory had finally diminished.
Then, Dio observed the portly man fling the door wide open and bolt in sheer terror, crying out, "Devil… a monster! You're not Spider-Man… Spider-Man is nothing like a fiend like you!"
From the encroaching shadows, Spider-Man discharged his silken webbing, ensnaring the fleeing man and swiftly drawing him back into the factory's gloom.
"No, please! Somebody, help me!" The desperate cries were suddenly silenced. These scoundrels had sealed their fate the moment Peter fully merged with Venom. Venom, devoid of a conscience, showed no restraint in its killing. As anticipated, not a single one of them managed to escape the rampaging Spider-Man.
Dio flicked his cigarette to the ground, observing the end of the ordeal and extinguishing it beneath his shoe. Leading a bewildered MJ towards the exit, Dio knocked politely. Despite Peter's evident rage, Dio remained unfazed, pleased to finally witness a crack in Peter's naive facade.
However, Dio hadn't anticipated Venom completely usurping Peter's control. This outcome was unforeseen. Nevertheless, with MJ fully recuperated, Peter should recover.
A smirk played on Dio's lips as he heard the commotion inside the factory. With that, he turned and departed!
The factory doors creaked open, revealing Peter, whose unease during the violent spree had subsided upon seeing MJ lying on the floor. The black Symbiote suit receded into Peter's form, unveiling the crimson spider-suit beneath.
"MJ! Are you alright? MJ!"
Holding MJ's limp body, Peter sobbed uncontrollably, like a child. But soon, MJ's eyes fluttered open, and she saw Peter's anguish-stricken face. "You rescued me again," she whispered, mustering a weak smile. Though she had been unconscious and unaware of the events, she firmly believed Peter had saved her once more.
Peter's steadfast demeanor caused her a flicker of unease, yet simultaneously, she understood Peter's intentions were always pure.
"It wasn't me…" Peter began, attempting to explain. But before his words could fully form, MJ’s lips met his in a passionate kiss, silencing him completely.
Some time later, the reunited couple emerged from the factory. The lingering stench in the air, a byproduct of the recent explosion, made lingering near the vicinity quite unpleasant.
"What about those thugs?" MJ inquired.
"They… uh…" Peter's body tensed as the horrifying reality of his recent actions flooded back. His thoughts became a jumbled mess, rendering him speechless.
Thankfully, MJ, possessing sharp intellect and high emotional intelligence, could likely deduce the grim fate of those men. Yet, she didn't fault Peter's actions. Some wicked individuals could be reformed within the confines of prison, but others were simply beyond redemption.
Perhaps it was more just to deliver a final punishment to these scum rather than allowing them to continue inflicting harm upon society.
Abruptly shifting the conversation, MJ asked, "Are we finished here? I'm feeling a bit weary; would you mind taking me home?"
Peter nodded enthusiastically. "Hold on tight, I'll get you home in a flash!"
Peter gently tightened his hold around MJ, and the pair soon departed from the factory grounds.
"It appears the young man still has a considerable journey ahead." Dio's silhouette materialized once more after Peter and MJ had left. Shaking his head slightly, Dio expressed mild disappointment that Peter hadn't considered a proper cleanup. It seemed he would have to rectify this particular mess himself.
Yet, Dio understood Peter's predicament wasn't voluntary. He had only anticipated the enemy targeting those closest to him, hence why Aunt May was relocated to a secure location. His miscalculation was in not expecting the adversaries to target MJ and his classmates!
Still, Dio and Tony had contemplated these potential issues long before they materialized. Nevertheless, Dio had remained silent, intending to put Peter's mettle to the test. After all, Peter needed to undergo such trials independently at least once.
Tony had long been aware of the thugs' abduction of MJ, alerted by a stealth drone monitoring Peter and his associates. Yet, he chose not to intervene or warn anyone, as he knew Dio was present.
Tony's intuition proved correct; as he had foreseen, Dio intervened to aid Peter.
However, Peter faltered significantly in this trial! His decision to remain with MJ, even in the face of death, was marked by sheer foolishness.
They looked up to Peter as a potential new leader, one capable of making decisions with his intellect. But his choice to prioritize MJ over strategic necessity directly contradicted the attributes expected of a leader.
Returning to the factory and surveying the scene, Dio remained unperturbed by the corpses within. He then noticed several security cameras strategically placed throughout the premises. Promptly, he extracted the memory cards and systematically destroyed them.
The recorded footage could potentially be used to leverage against Spider-Man later. Such a situation was absolutely unacceptable.
Should these recordings ever surface on the internet, just imagine the public outcry against Peter! The supposed friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, a brutal murderer? A cruel, violent, bloodthirsty killer? Coupled with the preceding footage disseminated by Mysterio, Spider-Man's reputation would face irreparable damage!
This disfigured antagonist had deliberately set up these surveillance devices with the sole intention of capturing Spider-Man abandoning the hostages for his own self-preservation. Ironically, they had never anticipated that Peter would steadfastly remain, shielding the hostages and eradicating all the assailants.
The entirety of the situation, including his demise and Spider-Man's subsequent escape, had been outside the original schematic. Nevertheless, his scheme remained in effect as Spider-Man ruthlessly executed all the thugs. The police would inevitably secure the incriminating video evidence, and at that juncture, Peter would find himself in profound jeopardy.
The singular aspect that the antagonists had failed to foresee was the presence of numerous influential figures prepared to champion Spider-Man's cause. Consequently, irrespective of how meticulously their plan was devised, its failure was already predetermined.
Dio invoked [Magician's Red], engulfing the entirety of the factory in a fiery inferno! The conflagration consumed all traces of Spider-Man's involvement, ensuring that any evidence yet undiscovered by Dio would also be reduced to cinders as the flames devoured everything.
In this manner, Peter would remain safeguarded.
“I had anticipated he would achieve a score of at least 59 points, but it appears he remained stuck at 50 points! Blast it, he couldn’t even muster an additional 9 points!” Dio lamented with evident disappointment.
“Well, there is no alternative but to proceed with the subsequent test!” Dio declared, concluding a recent phone conversation and discarding his final unlit cigarette into the encroaching flames.
What a troublesome child…
