SSS Awakening: Rebirth of the Strongest Vampire God Chapter 762 You broke through?

Volerick stared at him. For the first time since arriving in the Great Western Desert, the supreme B-rank being did not look calm.
The crimson wings behind Damon beat slowly, stirring waves of scarlet mist through the sky. The single drop of blood hovering in front of the golden sun trembled slightly as if the world itself could barely contain the force pressing against it.
"You broke through." He said, as if he still did not believe it.
Damon shrugged lightly. "Yeah," he said. "Turns out almost dying is pretty good motivation." Then he snapped his fingers. The drop of blood spun once before it completely covered the golden sphere. The next second, the golden sphere unexpectedly disappeared. There was not even a single trace of it left behind.
Volerick stared in shock. "You!!" His eyes went wide. He couldn't believe it. His attack had disappeared just like that. "You consumed it??"
'I wish.' Damon thought inwardly. That was his ultimate goal but he couldn't quite do it just yet. The method he used was a lot cruder. He simply sealed it off and stored it in his soul space. There was a chance he could use it later but he hadn't tried it yet. After stepping into the next realm, he was now starting to understand the power of blood. Before he was simply using parlour tricks but now, everything was different. He had in his grasp real power and he was yet to fully understand and master it.
"You are a good test subject." Damon smiled.
Hearing the familiar words, Volerick's face twisted in anger. He was the one who usually said that. The one who hunted monsters across continents. The one who dissected strange powers and turned enemies into stepping stones. To him, every battle had always been a test. And now…
Someone had just said it to him.
The golden aura around him turned pitch black in color and black lightning burst violently around his body. "You arrogant brat," Volerick said coldly. "Do you have any idea who you're speaking to?"
Damon tilted his head slightly. "Yeah," he replied calmly. "My first opponent." Before Volerick could realize, Damon's figure already turned into a red blur. "I don't have to do this to defeat you but I want to test the power of my new body and all the juicy stats I tossed into it."
In his mind, Blood Reign giggled, enjoying the action. "Pulverize him, master!"
Before this same person had exuded an aura that made Damon sweat and tremble but now that they were in the same realm, everything was different. He was no longer as intimidating as before.
Damon appeared right behind him. He was so fast that even Volerick's battle instincts reacted a fraction too late. The crimson mist trailing Damon twisted into a thin layer of blood that wrapped around his fist. It did not explode with flashy light. It did not roar with violent energy. It looked completely harmless.
Damon smiled. The punch landed. For a brief moment… nothing happened.
Volerick's body remained exactly where it was. Damon's fist rested quietly against his back, wrapped in that thin layer of crimson blood. The next second…
A deep crimson ripple spread outward from the point of impact like a silent tidal wave. The air warped violently. Clouds twisted apart as if the heavens themselves had been struck.
Volerick's body jerked.
BOOM.
The powerful B-rank being, hailed by an entire world as a God, shot across the desert like a meteor, tearing through the sky before smashing into the distant dunes with a thunderous explosion that sent mountains of sand rising into the air.
The entire Great Western Desert trembled. The palace walls shook. Zorthan staggered. "What the hell…"
High above the battlefield, Damon slowly lowered his fist. The crimson mist swirled lazily around him. He flexed his fingers, studying them with mild curiosity. "Huh, the attack could be made a lot better. Well, there is a lot of time to fix it." His crimson wings spread wider. "I think I'm going to really like this realm."
Far away in the desert, Volerick struggled to get up, coughing up mouthfuls of blood. His entire back had been completely shattered. His spine was broken is many different places. A B rank's body was pretty much indestructible and yet he was lying here in shambles.
The sand around him trembled as his body slowly began repairing itself. Broken bones crawled back into place. Flesh knitted together with faint black light. The divine vitality of his realm forced life back into his shattered frame.
Volerick pushed himself onto one knee, breathing heavily. His eyes trembled. "Impossible…" Even if the bloodsucker had somehow managed to enter B realm by some means, his power shouldn't be on par with someone like Volerick who had started walking on the path of Dao a long time ago. This was simply impossible.
Volerick clenched his teeth as the last of his broken bones snapped back into place. Black lightning crawled across his body while his spine slowly straightened with a sickening crack.
He rose to his feet. The desert wind howled around him. His black eyes slowly lifted toward the sky where Damon still floated calmly, crimson wings spread wide like a dark omen.
"No," Volerick muttered. "This is wrong." He wiped the blood from his mouth. Then he laughed. Black lightning exploded around him as his aura surged violently outward. "Good!" The sand for miles around him lifted into the air under the pressure of his power.
"Very good!" He looked up at Damon again. He was no longer going to hold back. "Let's see how long a newborn B-rank survives."
On the other side, Damon's smile turned savage.
The last time around he had simply used his new body to attack. This time he wanted to test this new core which was nestled comfortably in his body, his primordial dao core.
The two sides shot forward at the same time. The desert exploded beneath their feet.
