Damon absorbed the ancestor's blood, his mind flooded with knowledge and power. He began to break through to a new stage, his control over blood manipulation reaching unprecedented levels. Lacking further experience to complete his breakthrough, Damon demanded teleportation scrolls from the trembling nobles. Using the scrolls, he and his blood avatar teleported to different locations within the settlement, releasing a poisonous miasma that incapacitated the population. He and his avatar greedily absorbed the flowing blood essence to rapidly level up his skills and break through.

Damon closed his eyes for a moment as the Qi poured into his veins. His bloodline responded immediately, greedily devouring the incoming essence while the knowledge fragments buried deep within the ancestor's blood flashed through his mind.

He had been absolutely right to place his bet on this. Thanks to the drop of the ancestor's blood, he was obtaining so much more from the skill level-ups. And this time, he ensured that the stat points were not wasted either. He had already stored away countless bottles of stat points.

Combat instincts. Weapon techniques. Blood manipulation variations. Every fallen vampire added another fragment to the surging storm of experience coursing through him. He was gaining everything like never before.

Meanwhile, his blood avatar stood firm in the center of another collapsing district.

Another wave of poisonous miasma rolled outward from it, like a silent tide, seeping through buildings and guard formations alike. More vampires dropped to the ground as the poison permeated their bodies before they could even comprehend what was occurring.

Within mere seconds, another flood of blood essence ascended into the air, and once again, every strand rushed toward the blood avatar. Shockingly, the blood avatar was also capable of amplifying the gains through the ancestor's blood drop.

Damon grinned from ear to ear as a feeling of euphoria surged through his entire being.

Power was pouring into him from every single direction, and this time, it felt different from anything he had experienced previously. The ancestor's blood acted as a powerful catalyst, refining every fragment of essence he absorbed and transforming it into something far more valuable.

Damon could grasp everything with a terrifying clarity. Even his control over his blood avatar intensified as the connection between them grew smoother and more efficient.

It was akin to a feedback loop. The stronger he became, the more efficiently he could harvest. The more efficiently he harvested, the faster he grew stronger. Cracks began to spread across the invisible barrier that had been impeding his advancement.

The next stage was imminent.

Very imminent.

Meanwhile, outside the Black Throne settlement…

The B-rank powerhouses, who had been clashing ferociously against each other, finally ceased their combat. One by one, the terrifying figures hovering in the sky withdrew from the battlefield. The shockwaves emanating from their attacks gradually faded, leaving the sky strangely silent after the violent storm that had raged moments earlier.

However, the quietude did not persist for long. One of the B-ranks began to gather a massive amount of power.

"Have you degenerated to such pathetic levels, you old cow? Do you no longer respect your Dao? Why are you attacking the weaklings? Do you truly believe I would concern myself with something so trivial? Destroy the entire damn thing for all I care! Hmph! But in return, I shall claim your head!"

His voice boomed across the sky like the roar of rolling thunder. The pressure around him surged violently as his aura exploded outward, crushing the surrounding air. A colossal vortex of blood energy gathered around his body as he prepared to unleash another strike.

Opposite him, the old vampire woman he had been fighting earlier responded with a cold sneer.

"You think I care about those insects below?" she replied with utter disdain. "Let them perish. Their blood will merely nourish the next generation of our kind."

Her own aura flared just as fiercely, dark crimson energy spreading out behind her like enormous wings.

"But if you believe you can take my head so easily," she continued, her voice turning icy, "then come forth and attempt it."

"Who are you accusing of such cheap tricks? I do not need to stoop so low to defeat an old hag like you! You are the one who must purge your sins! I can smell your karma all the way from here and it reeks, bitch!"

"Bastard! I am going to sever your tongue first!"

As these two bickered, the other old vampires watched on quietly. One among them finally spoke up.

"Enough of this, both of you. Can you not perceive it? Neither of us would engage in such actions in a million years. While we squander our time here, someone else is actively attacking our settlements."

The two combatants froze mid-sentence. Their auras were still flaring violently, but their attention slowly shifted towards the settlement before them.

"We surmised the snake was headless, but it appears the new heir is not as simple as he seems. Let us cease our infighting and first secure the ancestor's blood."

The woman who had spoken earlier snorted in contempt. "A child playing with poison. Today, he shall learn his lesson."

Another elder unexpectedly interjected. "Apparently, the wastrel son has mastered some sort of taboo skill. He is sacrificing our clansmen to accrue power." The elder's gaze turned cold, and the others began emitting a murderous aura as well.

"He intends to utilize our clan's bloodline against us?" No further words were exchanged. The six figures materialized before the Black Throne Settlement in silent accord.

The female vampire initiated the assault, her hand ascending. The very air warped around her as blood energy coalesced at her fingertips, compacting into a dense, crimson orb. Ethereal runes flickered around the sphere. Above the settlement, the heavens darkened, her imposing aura descending like a crushing mountain.

"If the child wishes to play sovereign," she declared with frigid resolve, "let us ascertain the lifespan of his insignificant throne." With a subtle flick of her wrist, the crimson sphere plummeted like a shooting star. The instant it impacted the settlement's protective barrier, the sky erupted in a blinding flash.

BOOM!

The entire dome of blood energy quaked violently. Immense shockwaves radiated across the barrier's surface, and fissures crackled with red lightning, branching out from the point of impact.

Within the settlement, every vampire felt the jarring tremor. For a fleeting moment, the barrier warped, appearing on the brink of shattering under the onslaught. Then, the crimson shield regained its stability. The cracks vanished, and the barrier intensified rather than weakened.

One of the elders narrowed his gaze. "Intriguing..."

Another B-rank individual spoke with practiced calm, though a subtle undercurrent of surprise tinged his voice. "The domain formation has grown considerably more potent than before."

The female vampire clicked her tongue. "So he reinforced it. It matters little. It shall yield to me this time. Without exception." Her gaze turned glacial as she slowly raised both hands.

The surrounding blood energy surged outward like a tempest. The crimson sphere that had merely grazed the barrier moments ago paled in comparison to the entity now manifesting above her. Immense streams of blood essence, drawn from the very battlefield, spiraled skyward like rivers ascending to the heavens.

A colossal sigil unfurled behind her. Ancient runes etched themselves into the void, one after another, constructing a monumental circular array spanning hundreds of meters across the sky.

The other B-rank vampires recognized it instantly.

"Blood Annihilation Formation."

One of them scowled slightly. "Are you truly resorting to such measures already?"

The woman offered no reply, only a smirk as she completed the formation with a resounding pulse. At its nexus, a gigantic spear forged from condensed blood energy began to materialize. The weapon seemed almost tangible, its surface inscribed with countless luminous runes.

The firmament trembled. Even the assembled B-ranks felt the terrifying pressure emanating from the colossal spear. With silent resolve, the woman unleashed the devastating attack.
